Hi there - I'm a regular reader, and occasional commenter, over at MCJ. Right now you've got that really depressing Bennison thread going.
I read Ace pretty regularly too, but don't comment much - it's like being at a party where everyone already knows everyone else and is gabbing away a mile a minute - it's hard to jump in. It doesn't help that by the time I come to a thread, there's already a couple of hundred comments, and I have nothing to say that hasn't been said already.
On the other hand, even if Ace never did anything else, he did give us the flaming skull with Blagojevich helmet hair, and for that I am grateful.

Throughout this cycle there was an unattainable benchmark for conservatives (and their now-buttboys the GOP).
First, the GOP couldn't hold its own in the Senate. (How could they? There's so many GOP incumbents, they can't all get reelected!)
Second, they said that the GOP would gain seats in the House but a majority was out of reach.
Third, they said the GOP would win a majority in the House but a Senate majority was out of reach.
Now, people are saying the GOP will win the House and the Senate is in play.
Let me lay some truth on you:
The GOP will win majorities in the House and the Senate. The GOP will win 113+ seats in the House -- a 2/3 majority. The media and the Dems (yeah, same people, I know) will be shell-shocked well through Thanksgiving. There will be enough Dem Senators who are up in 2012 that are scared shitless over their prospects that they will vote with the GOP to give McConnell (or whoever) an effective 2/3 majority in the Senate.
Thus, Boehner will effectively rule as Prime Minister -- controlling the spending bills and cowing "swing" Dems in the Senate.
This will last until no later than March 15. By then the GOP will blow it somehow (the possibilites are endless) and the pendulum will be swinging back in Simple Barry's direction.
Before it is over, the GOP will pass a repeal of ObamaCare through both the House and the Senate, which will be vetoed by Obama.
The GOP's failure to override that veto despite the votes it will have said it has collected will be a reason why it loses momentum.
