Under Obamacare businesses with fewer than 25 employees that pay an average of no more than $40,000 will get a tax credit – up to 35 percent of the companyÂ’s share of their total health care premium.  But only if their average salary remains below $40,000. That means a decision to give raises not only carries the cost of the raise itself to the business, but also a potential loss of that 35% subsidy ObamaCare grants. This will have the overall effect of suppressing salaries and putting experienced workers at a disadvantage in hiring decisions. It also provides an incentive to keep the workforce under 26 people; the 26th hire eliminates that 35% subsidy as well, making it a very expensive new position.

So I guess I won't be getting a piece of the 3,000% my employer was promised by Obama.  He sucks.

No matter how the media attempts to spin polls to show how all of a sudden everyone loves ObamaCare. - I don't buy it.  It's all spin and lies.

Obama campaigned in the middle, moved to the left, and betrayed many.

Obama will always own his base, his blind faithful, but the independent middle is gone.

26 Interesting. I used to LOVE Mad magazine as a youngster in the '70s -- absolutely great stuff, with wit that attacked both sides of the political spectrum (the riffs on hippies were equally as vituperative as those on conservatives). One always had the sense that the sensibilities of the editors were sympathetic to the Left, but they weren't so overt as to be viciously one-sided.

A couple years ago, while waiting for the Mrs. in the local market, I scanned the magazine rack and picked up a Mad to see what was up in the New Millenium. Sad to say, it was rife with attacks o Republicans and conservatives in practically every feature. And no, it wasn't some special "What's Wrong With the Right"-type special edition -- this was the standard magazine. With no balancing attacks on the Left.

It made me sad. The fuckers.

...out of the business of screwing America

One thing people need to start doing now is get all those lazy bastards they know who finally want to vote to register nice and early - like before June. Print out the form for them. Offer to mail it. Don't let them wait until the last minute.

Cuz you know any dems in charge of processing registrations will be working reeeaaally slow come election season.

Register early  - beat the cheating.

37

I remember it originally jabbed at everyone, from both sides of the aisle, and was pretty funny. I happened to pick up an issue a few years back and the entire mag had a pretty hard left perspective - all the shots were at Republicans or at the conservative perspective.

Typical, sort of like the late night TV scene morphing from Johnny Carson, who would poke fun at anyone into Letterman's never ending, totally one-sided, nasty shots at the conservative side of the aisle.

yeah, I heard it. It was a little too subtle, and hardly the caustic jab South Park usually delivers. But for an episode with a lot of Obama, it was practically a puff-piece for Obama.

55 Barack Obama is the most liberal and America-hating POTUS this great country has ever elected. Give it time.  The season's just starting.  They'll ramp up, I have a feeling.

Also, go back and watch the episode where Cartman and his alter-ego "The Coon" fights street crime.  A few subtle jabs at Obama there as well.

I agree, this has nothing to do with health or care.  It's a power grab.  In the words of John Dingell, "it will take a while before they can control the people."  Al Sharpton said it yesterday, if you voted for BO you voted for socialism.  As if you dope you should have known that.

Watercow; you do know he is more white then black (lily white mother, raised by whites, gone to private schools, etc.), it just doesn't benefit him to associate with that half.

Posted by: PattiSue at March 24, 2010 12:41 PM (4y/tN)

67 Not your comment, PattiSue -- it's the whole thing I don't get. Does Alfred E. love erectile dysfunction? I shouldn't matter because health care got done.

Posted by: WaterCow at March 24, 2010 12:53 PM (cQyWA)

68 It's a shame no one's going to see this cover. MAD has been reduced to a quarterly publishing schedule and is almost impossible to find now. Every time I go to the supermarket I skim the magazine rack for MAD, for old times' sake. It's never there. Ever since it came under the umbrella of DC Comics, I think it's relegated mostly to comics specialty stores, and since nobody under 25 ever frequents those places MAD is largely unavailable to its historical target demographic of kids and teenagers.

MAD's circulation at its peak in the '70s: Over 2 million.
MAD's circulation today: About 175,000.

In the '90's, Clinton had to be impeached before they even acknowledged that he was president. Currently, Ted Rall is one of their "guest" artists, does a monthly strip, usually not on an overtly political subject, but that should tell you something.

101 No, no, MAD Magazine! You made your bed! No lay in it like all the other O'Bots! You know . . . O'bots! The brainless crash test dummies who say that if you disagree with Obamagod's policies you MUST be a racist. I say: You are all hopeless idiots, een you MAD. When I was a kid we used to smuggle Mad Magazines into class. We'd fight to the death for a copy! Now you are overpriced outhouse wallpaper.

As more and more people tell me that I'm a racist, if I don't agree with Obama's policies, the more I am becoming one.  And since Barack, Jessie,

Al and Louis disagreed with Bush's policies, I must assume that they are racists.

104 You know what is funny when I saw the post from someone talking about "The Coon"? I only know about South Park through syndication. Cartman is a curmudgeon and beyond his years in such things, so I have to like him (it is like written down somewhere or something--in the holy book of AOS in the hallowed ground of...hell, who am I kidding!). I remember a time long ago when I was riding my bike with a friend in the neighborhood. I have no idea why, but we called each other by our last names. I yelled once; hey Kuhn, wait up. Even as a child in the sixties I wondered if that might get me into trouble. That is sick shit! A kid should not have to worry about such craziness. As an adult (well as much as an admitted AOS moron can make such claims I suppose), I can handle it likely. Screw them if they do not like it! It is his damn name. It is so sad that mere words can cause so much grief when actions that those on the left take all the time are unprecedented assaults on freedom. If it comes to blows in a bloody revolution, I will be sad that I am mere canon fodder now. I am OK with that though. I just wish that I had more in the tank to fight this shit. People are f'ing with my family at this point, and I will not stand for it at all. Liberal, Marxist sensibilities being traumatized by words (remember, just words--famous stolen Obama BS) just makes me cry so much for these timid little shits! I swear to God, I would love to see some of the Marxist pretentious 5-star types get out on the trail and try to survive. I would love to see that (and no, you do not get any of my stuff asshole--pack your own!). Could they even make it overnight? I doubt many could. I like the idea though. Catch and release these congress critters back into the wild and see what happens. NO help, no technology; they would be just left to their native cunning (su

NO help, no technology; they would be just left to their native cunning (such as it is, I know, we laugh and laugh!). It is like environmental or something; who could not be behind that! It is cruel and inhuman by definition, but what about that aspect directed at us? I see such retribution as fair. I have spoken. Enough said. I was not appointed dictator in Obama's stead as he is cavorting about in the wild? It must have been an oversight I am sure. I had that jackass Biden released near water, so what are the chances he has not died of dehydration! Pelosi just collapsed sobbing immediately and did not recover as far as I know. I think the Republicans have found each other, pooled their outdoor talents, and are building a lodge! OK, the Rinos are still missing, but who cares! Ah yes, the glories of a real challenge. Any hope of that. Only in my dreams I suppose.

106 I should be beaten for having an itchy trigger finger. All may damn me. Usually nothing happens, and then it happens twice. Go figure. Watch me screw up again and become a moron forever! A kind soulcould kill one off, but maybe my shame should just be born. Oh well, it is a sign of the damn times!
