— Purple Avenger This seems like an unforced error due to tone deafness and garden variety stupidity on the part of the Canadians.
New Delhi: With public outrage mounting over the denial of visas to several serving and retired officials of Indian security agencies, India on Thursday warned Canada that it will retaliate suitably if Ottawa does not respond within "a few days"...Seriously Canada, maybe its time to back away from that crack pipe and stop killing brain cells....Last week, the Canadian high commission here refused a visa to Fateh Singh Pandher, a retired BSF [ed: India's border security force] constable, on grounds that he was associated with a "notoriously violent force"...

Everyone knows the proper response is to allow them to kill people and then build a huge honkin' mosque as close as possible to the scene of the crime. Like, duh....

I've worked for a Canadian company for about a year (they bought the small American company that was doing their outsourced work and hired a bunch of people, myself included). While I wouldn't mind being trapped in an elevator with the average Canadian (Quebec excluded), this kind of thing is unfortunately pretty par for the course.

Maybe the Indians should point out that the Canadian military includes at least one high-ranking suspected serial killer.
Not to mention that its Brig. Generals seem to have difficulty handling firearms safely.

O/T: in other foreign relations news, China will not protect whoever was to blame for sinking a South Korean warship, the Chinese premier Wen Jiabao has said.
It must be getting even more ronery for Kim Jong-Il these days....

You gotta love how some people, such as Ed, don't realize this is an election year.
I'm getting tired of the assholes on our side who feel the need to keep up this charade of impartial journalism. There is no such thing. So let's stop pretending.
And, Ed, you don't have a duty to look at both sides fairly. Your duty lies in telling the truth and weeding out the bullshit.

Now look, Dr. Quest. I'm a straight-shooting, middle-of-the-road, nonpartisan, fair, balanced, impartial reporter.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz makes sense when she says Obama will create as many jobs in one year as Bush did in eight years. If that offends you, talk to The Truth.

Remember that in Canada if you point out that the muslims are publicly calling for the murder of Jews and westerners, you are the Hater; the muslim is only being true to his cultural imperatives.

I recall one of my friends who follows this stuff saying there are new laws governing who can go to Canada. He thought it was odd since he grew up on the NY/Canada border and they always go back and forth.

Anybody know any of the history about Canada and India in regards to the Air India Flight 182 bombing in 1985? How 329 people were murdered (280 Canadian nationals) by fucking TERRORISTS?
There's a reason these visas would have been denied (and btw, how many of you mofos can tell the difference between a Hindu, Sikh, or a muzzie name?), as we've been burned by terrorism from India before.
Before you all go knocking Canada for the sake of your misconceived notions about Canada, why don't you take a little lesson in ALL of Canadian history over the last 500 years.
Fuck you and God bless you. And God keep our land glorious and free!

I find it rather curious that American leftists bloggers speak so kindly of Canada, while Canada's leftard bloggers can't find a single good thing to say about the US (unless, of course, it's to heap adulation on Barry).
At the same time Canadian conservative bloggers are staunch defenders of the USA, while our conservative counterparts rare miss an opportunity to slap our outreached hands. But maybe that's just the nature of blogs.
