Martha Coakley Apparently Blind
— Slublog

Coakley, in the Boston Herald:

“I do know that the Scott Brown stalkers who have followed me around and the people at that press conference ... were incredibly aggressive about trying to get in my face,” Coakley said. “I didn’t see what happened so I can’t say.”

In response:

CoakleyFundraiser.img_assist_custom-640x427.jpg

Huh. You know, if you're going to stretch the truth, it's best not to get caught on camera looking right at the event you claimed not to see.

H/t: The Daily Caller

Update - Update from effinayright in the comments:

McCormack just said on Howie Carr's show that Coakley didn't actually see him being pushed to the ground, that she was about five feet ahead of him when it happened, that the photo shows her turning back to look.

THEN he said he's not thinking of suing Meehan.

Watching the video, it looks like she didn't see the fall, but it looks to me like she was looking right at both when Meehan grabs McCormack to 'help' by aggressively getting into McCormack's face and backing him up.

Nah, nothing to see there.

94 This Boston Herald story is a sort of hilarious.  Check it out.

http://is.gd/6dfOp

“I did not push him,” said Meehan, who is president of Blue Line Strategic Communications in Washington, D.C. He said he is volunteering for Coakley and has 25 years of experience as a Senate press aide.

Meehan said he helped McCormack up after he tripped over a low fence in front a book store near the restaurant and asked him if he was OK. He added McCormack was not wearing a press credential and refused to identify himself when Meehan asked who he was.

Uhh, John just "fell".

“He wouldn’t tell me who he was and he wouldn’t tell me who he works for,” said Meehan. “Reporters get to ask questions. That’s totally legit. Republican operatives can’t chase a candidate down the street.”

Meehan said he let McCormack pass after he displayed his press credential. He added he’s left two messages for Meehan and wants to apologize for “my part in his fall.”

Actually, nobody owns the sidewalk so anyone can run circles around Coakley if they have the stamina.  BUT...Meehan actually claims that McCormack called him to apologize his "fall".  a thousand lolz

I have to party with Michael Meehan.

The biggest problem with the LIBTARD PARTY is as follows.

Meehan and Coakley have NOTHING in common with the people who vote for this type of LIBTARD.  They are street hustlers.  They tell GROUPS of people everything they want to hear.  They PRETEND to care about UNIONS, BLACKS, PEACE, CHILDREN, HEALTH CARE etc etc etc.

They live the high life and they stuff SPECIAL INTEREST MONEY into their pockets.

Does it seem to you that Coakley and most LIBTARD THUGS have any compassion for anyone except themselves.    They don't believe the very policies they support.  They are akin to a guy picking up a chick at a bar and after having his way, the guy says.  But I still respect you.

Stalking is a crime, and is specifically defined in Massachusetts law.

A person that is state attorney general AND a candidate for the United States Senate should know the difference between the crime of stalking and a reporter doing his job by asking questions of a candidate. Anyone who can't tell the difference is not qualified for either position.

Perhaps she didn't see the shove, but obviously saw that a man was on the ground. She didn't ASK what happened. She did not make herself knowledgeable about why a reporter suddenly fell down. Like a "good" lawyer she kept herself ignorant so she could later claim innocence.

151 you know what? if mcormick doesn't sue then he is a panzy.

i am so sick and tired of republicans like this refusing to STAND UP for what is right. this is typical republican, wasp etiquette. well, guess what? it doesn't work. the democrats register the dead, stuff the ballot boxes, and lawyer up when elections don't go thier way. well, it's time the right lawyers up, too.

this jerk off assaulted mcormick. this thug broke the law right in front of a candidate that happens to be a lawyer! when you TOUCH another person without permission it is assault. but this creep didn't just touch him, he shoved him, and shoved him hard enough to knock him onto the ground. this is intolerable! it should be dealt with in a court of law!

if not for himself, mcormick must sue in order to stand up to political thuggery. if he does not then he is simply confirming what these elitists already think: that they are ABOVE the law. the rules don't apply to them, the rules are for those "little people," i mean, "sheeple."

if mcormick doesn't man up and sue, then forget it. i'll never buy another one weekly standard again. period. republicans are wimps.
