— Ace By two points! Some within the margin-of-error movement, getting him all the way up to thirty-nine percent!
Meanwhile, Sharon Angle is now ahead of Sue Lowden. The Tea Party Express (advocacy group) crows:
According to a brand new Suffolk University Political Research poll, Angle has now jumped to an 8% lead over former front-runner Sue Lowden. The previous two polls conducted in this race had Angle trailing Sue Lowden by 1% (Mason-Dixon) while a Public Policy Polling survey had Angle actually ahead of Lowden by 3%.
The Tea Party Express endorsed Angle on April 15th at a National Press Club news conference in Washington, D.C. At the time Angle was at 5% in the polls and badly trailed Sue Lowden who was at 47%.
After a nearly $500,000 advertising blitz by the Tea Party Express (and a new $400,000 ad campaign by the Club for Growth which began advertising for Angle last week) Angle has now erased that deficit and has taken the lead.

Angle has removed the claim that she, along with actresses Kelly Preston and Jenna Elfman, approached Sen. John Ensign to sponsor legislation prohibiting school employees from requiring students to take psychotropic drugs, such as anti-depressants.
If she's to be taken seriously, she needs to get out in front of this shit and state that school employees aren't medical doctors and can't be mandating that kids be turned into zombies for just acting like kids. Being lumped in with those Scientology vermin is a really dumb thing to do though....

Whether any career Republican is actual good news for conservatives remains to be seen.
I know Nevada. While it harbors strong tea party-fu at taxpayer level, such never trickles up to reform the rancid halls of Nevada power. And they be rancid.
Never forget what the establishment Pubbies did to the nascent tea party movement during the last election. That establishment would be Angle's establishment.

I heard Lowden on KSFO out of San Francisco a couple of months ago.
Her main talking point was that Nevada sent more money to Washington than it got back. She was going to get even! Or better.
Why she would be so stupid as to come to California and say she was running to get more of the federal budget for Nevada is beyond me. Why would anyone in California support her if her main issue was MORE PORK for another state?
Haven't heard from Angle yet but Lowden doesn't deserve conservatives' support.

That is precisely the problem, MTM. We have been so over run by Cali that our state even changed color last election. Here in the south (Vegas) it is like aliens have landed and I don't mean at area 51! I believe that for a R to win, the total North has to be firmly behind them, because the south can no longer carry a candidate that the North does not support. If the North goes all indy for Reid, we are sunk! I have heard a lot of moderates say they will vote for Reid just to keep his valuable job even though it is pointed out he has done NOTHING good for Nevada in spite of his powerful job. OH and the debacle he has made of YUCCA is sickening!

OT: BP successfully cut the lower marine riser pipe at 10 a.m., using giant shears 5,000 feet below the surface of the sea, but it was a "more jagged cut" Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen told reporters, and therefore will be a looser fitting seal. Now a containment dome with a rubber seal will be lowered over the severed pipe. Allen called the cut a "significant step forward" and said the leak could be largely sealed today.

Harry Reid is one arrogant son of a bitch that deserves to lose his Senate seat. He ran against me and lied about my connections with the Corleone family. Yes, I knew of Fredo and Michael Corleone, and on one occasion, the family lawyer Tom Hagen assisted me with a very minor problem.
I have nothing but praise for the generosity and kindness of the Corleone family, and wish them the best. For Harry Reid, he would be better off fishing on Lake Tahoe than being in Washington representing Nevada.
