Re sidebar: 2010 Mustang emits less pollution at highway speeds than a parked 1970 Mustang. Can we say the car pollution problem is solved? [ArthurK]

Its stuff like this that the libtards refuse to acknowledge. Why is that? You would think that they would be more than willing to say we have finally reached the goal and achieved a cleaner America. That is because:

1.       The air quality is the cleanest it has been in 100 years.

2.      We have more forested land than was there at the turn of the 20th century.

3.      The rivers are the cleanest they have been since the turn of the 20th century. (note that the EPA is only able to call most of them “polluted” because the States refuse to do all the expensive testing the EPA wants and the courts have ruled that the EPA can not force it).

So why are they not willing to declare victory?  Because then they would not be able to scream for even more regulations.  More regulations means more power over the “proles”. More power means more budget and more budget means even more power.  That is the game in Washington. Hell, they are even wanting to remove the term “navigable” from the clean water act because the court finally ruled that a drainage ditch in field 25 miles from the closest river was NOT a navigable waterway. (gee who woulda thunk it)

I have some news for the green idiots about that pesky term “navigable”.  That is the only thing that gives the clean water act a veneer of being “Constitutional”.  Remove that and the whole law goes down. So they remove navigable so they can regulate ANY water, including mud puddles in your yard and they want to call CO2 pollution so that can regulate everything between heaven and earth. More and more power which ultimately means less and less freedom.

And they wonder why people are mad.

Sorry, sorry...sounds good on paper but it can't work.....possibility exists that it could work too well and move Guam towards the giant plastic barge in the middle of the ocean.   A better project might be covering the plastic barge with garbage until it is an island and stops floating and then put dirt on it and plant trees and dedicate it to the dude who is worried about Guam tipping....

Fav comment:

I have the same theory about zombie movies. Most of them simply make no sense. "Gee, why is my neighbor staggering around moaning with a huge open wound on his neck. I probably better go over there and give him a hug..." It's not like it's hard to diagnose Zombism. This only make sense if there are no zombie movies in those worlds.

This might solve two problems, if Guam and the plastic trashbarge joined forces.  Not only would Guam undoubtedly stabilize in the process, but it would also put that trashbarge to good use.  Good things, here.  Good things.
