— Ace But remember the state is hugely Democratic.
Also there: Brown vows he'll be the 41st vote to save America from socialism.

This, I think, is a very important question: will Kennedy, the Independent, be the 2nd or 3rd name on the ballot?
If he's second on the ballot...ho ho ho hee hee hee, I think that will be significant.
Anyone get an absentee ballot and know this?

Blend together a pinch of cayenne half a cup of cream and half a cup of strawberries.Fill your mouth with this concoction and give your beau's cock a good hard sucking. He will fire off like old faithful.
A friend of mine wants to know, does this work if you are missing one ingredient...namely the girl?

I don't think that's the case, curious.
It's the run-of-the-mill Democrats who will not be motivated to vote. The leaners and the Republicans will be the blocs motivated to vote, and, of course, the hardcore Democrat base.
This time, the independents and conservative will outnumber the Democrat's votes.

"I almost feel like they are putting this out there so they breathe a sigh of relief and feel they don't have to go out and vote."
No. I travel to Boston for business sometimes, and my collegeues there are democrats, and I asked them about that line that should Scott win, they will delay the swearing in. These collegues of mine are VERY opposed to the DeathCare, their biz will be hurt. And when they heard what Kirk said, I will just say, they are PISSED!
and the statement was made just 1 week before the elections, these Dim witted marxists have no clue how pissed off the voters, even democrats are in MA. That statement by Kirk has just poured gasoline on the fire.

Look, Brown was gonna get 40%, minimum. Even a shitbum Republican gets no less than 35% when running against Kennedy or Kerry.
But...
1) Scott Brown is not a shitbum, he's an excellent candidate
2) Kennedy nor Kerry is on the ballot. Coakley is on the ballot, and she's just a hack.
3) This is not a regular election.
We are living in extraordinary times and people are angry and motivated for real change. So don't expect things to go as they have in the past.

Unfortunately the problem goes beyond Steele - let's face it the entire Republican leadership is pathetically tone-deaf to the current mood of the country. Sadly none of them seem to understand the importance of throwing full support behind this candidate for the message that it would send if he won, or even came close, in the bluest of blue states.

True, relative to the Republicans. I took a look at the registration at the MA SoS site, though and, though it is old, here are the most recent numbers put up there (Aug 2004):
Total registered: 4,098,634
Dem: 1,526,711
Repub: 532,319
Lib: 23,900
Grn - RNB 9,509
Unenrolled: 2,000,062
There's another column "Political Designations" with 6,133.
It looks like the "Unenrolled" is number for "Independents". If it is, then heavily Democratic Massachusetts might not be so heavy right about now.

The cross-tabs are interesting. Brown's biggest support comes from the 65+ age group, and in a special election, that counts for a lot. The seniors are also the most anti-Obamacare.

I agree with folks who say it's a tough battle. That's a no brainer. But my response to that is...so?
Are we only willing to fight the easy battles? We're talking about our country here.
People who state the obvious like that seem to do so to rain on the parade of others and attempt to dampen their spirit. For what good purpose?
We aren't two year olds here. We know the obstacles. But we also know the stakes and recognize that we must do everything in our power to fight to save our Republic.

That's why I love being a registered Independent, no allegiance to either party, only to the founding principles of this country. Unfortunatley, I now get crap from both DNC and RNC.

Harry has the mentality of a Japanese fighter pilot circa 1945. So yes, he and a lot of other Dems will push the healthcare crapfest through regardless of the damage to their political careers. After all the bureaucracy created will need to be staffed by lots of upper level muckity-mucks.

Holy shit, the Brown surge is for real.
My uncle is a very moderate guy. He voted for Romney, but also for Kerry and Obama. One of the classic "Massachusetts independent" types who always seem to inevitably swing Democrat.
And he is FIRED THE FUCK UP to go vote for Scott Brown. He's making sure his entire family (wife, three kids) goes out and votes too. Telling his friends. Getting the word out. I've never seen him this interested in a political race in my life. It's interesting that he says that he actually thinks Coakley has done an okay job as AG -- as I said, he's not one of us, not a partisan righty. It's just that he, and a lot of people he's talking to, are so fed up and so scared about Obamacare and the out-of-control spending in Washington that ALL they're thinking about is "41st vote, 41st vote." As he said, "hey, if I don't like this guy I can just vote him out in a couple years anyway."
These folks are exactly the sorts of independents/Dems that Brown needs to have a shot. And he's getting them.
Man, if Brown pulls this out I'm just going to keep posting, all-caps, in every thread: "THE BAND IS ON THE FIELD! THE BAND IS OUT ON THE FIELD!"
I want to believe.

Nah, won't even be necessary. He can vote in favor of it if it might give him a shot at reelection, because there's no way cap & trade will even APPROACH 60 votes in the Senate. Even BEFORE the healthcare debacle sent Democrat numbers into the shitter that was a dead letter in the Senate. Too many Senators from states that are heavily dependent on coal and gas (WV, VA etc.)

This healthcare debacle doesn't begin to address the real problem with the system which is an over abundance of lawyers sucking the life out of the system. I was in Saigon two years ago and looked for the Gecko and Apo now, but I was ether lost or they are gone. Recomend the Chu Bar which is close to the museum featuring Kerry. Good food, beautiful women of course, and air conditioned. Also went to a Australian pool hall type bar. Korean women, hot beer of course, and hotter than outside.
Also went to the rooftop bar at the Rex and it was like walking into a time warp without the flares.
