More Silly Interent Stuff
— Ace

Someone took a lot of time to put together an unofficial alternate ending to the coming-soon Yogi Bear movie. Thanks to slublog.

Parody: The Yogi death scene is modeled on The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford.

Did anyone else hear Phil Simms make a 'homo' joke yesterday during the Patriots/Bears game?

After Jim Nantz did a promo for the show Hawaii Five-0, Simms chimes in, "Let's see, here we are, here, Hawaii Five Homos."

5 FYI, "somebody" was the director of the upcoming film, unless I'm mistaken.

If YOGI was a REPUBLICAN bear, he could've made a COMPROMISE with BOO BOO to only Blow-off HALF of his head.

15 A very nice take on the shooting of Jesse James.

Been waiting for Boo Boo to take that bear out for forty years.

Ace has film friends he's always trying to promote. Instead of Boo-Boo and Yogi think and ewok and a hobo getting into a dumpster. It's surrealism. The surreal part is the hat. they leave it while Ace always throws them out because of the lice.

21 You know what this means?  Justice Breyer was right.

22 "Yogi, you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the park, I don't want you near my den. When you see our mother, I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?"

Posted by: Dr. Varno at December 13, 2010 11:59 AM (QMtmy)

23 All the movie needs is a scene where Yogi plays chess with Death.

Posted by: Cicero at December 13, 2010 11:59 AM (QKKT0)

24 Assuming this wasn't made by someone connected with the movie who had access to the models, it's pretty pathetic that someone went to this much time and trouble to painstakingly recreate and animate them for a painfully drawn-out and obvious two minutes that are given away by a title at the very beginning that screams "BOOBOO KILLS YOGI!"

"Hur hur hurr, wouldn't it be teh ironic if BooBoo put on a hunting cap and shot Yogi?"
  Yeah, real subversive there, champ.

Who will carry the pic-i-nic basket now!!!

26 Baseball lovers, rejoice. A film of the 1960 World Series final game (Pirates vs. Yankees) was discovered in Bing Crosby's basement and has been restored. It will be rebroadcast for the first time in 50 years.

Beverly,
How can you be so callous? Baseball? Yogi is dead at the hands of his best friend.
My childhood is shattered.  Oh, Mr. Ranger comfort me.

29 One of the first movies I ever saw was a Yogi animated feature in which Cindy was sold to the circus.  I was maybe five.  I bawled up a storm.

Posted by: WalrusRex at December 13, 2010 12:05 PM (xxgag)

30 As long and boring as the original. That's what happens when you think "parody" means "do the exact same thing except with different characters". Yeah, I'm looking at you, Seth MacFarlane, you fucking hack.

WalrusRex,
Cindy Bear wasn't sold to the circus.  I have it on good authority she was sold into White Bear Slavery.  Alas, she became a plaything of some Middle Eastern type with a bear fetish.

I saw a really early Porky Pig cartoon where they stripped him and put him in an oven. I had the same reaction.

I'll never lose that image of poor little Poppin' Fresh, pounding on the oven window for help as the temperature rose to a dough-searing 400 degrees.

36 Anyone notice that Hollywood is a lot like the Democratic Congress?  "You think a live-action Yogi Bear movie is an insult to the character, and to you personally?  Yeah, well, you're getting a live-action Yogi Bear movie, and you'll like it.  We have to make the movie to find out what's in it."
