And for those of you not watching Palin on Fox News, here's something quite disturbing:

Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984 resonate. Re-reading them is never a waste of time.

Angelina Jolie keeps her politics close to the vest, so to speak, but it would seem she is most likely a libertarian. She is also a much better actress than a lot of people give her credit for.

Good Morning Morons. Got to get something on here besides all the damn spammers.

So how about this; yet another stupid article on Fox:

Mexicans Facing Drug War Violence Could Seek Political Asylum in U.S.

The spreading violence of the drug wars along the Mexican border may have one unintended consequence. It could upend efforts to curb illegal immigrants by giving Mexican border-crossers a tool they never had before: a valid claim for political asylum.

Since when is violence by a criminal element a political issue?  The orignal intent of “political asylum” was to allow defectors from communist dictratorships to seek protection in the U.S.

The communists now run the country and anything that will bring them more voters is considered worthy of asylum. Instead of allowing all these criminal refugees into the country what we should do is fireup a brigade of the infantry and a heavy armor brigade and sweep across the border like blackjack Pershing, except this time engage the criminals and kill every damn one of them dead dead dead.

Finally, some more Morons are up.

Have another POS article over on Fox which they took from the Times of London. I swear I think nightshift and weekends on Fox brings in the same set of editors that MSNBC uses.  IOW, the most liberal douche bags they can find in the nation, or in this case articles and editors from soon to be defunk Great Britain.

Obama Set to Reject 'Nuclear Posture'

President Obama will rewrite AmericaÂ’s policy on nuclear weapons next week, heralding further reductions in the U.S. stockpile and giving a pledge not to develop new systems.

After a review of the nation’s nuclear weapons arsenal that has involved, among others, the Pentagon, the Department of Energy and the intelligence services, as well as the White House, Obama is expected to reject the doctrine on nuclear weapons — the “nuclear posture” — adopted by George W. Bush, which included the possibility of the United States launching an attack on a non-nuclear state.

IÂ’ve got some news for you douche-nozzles who are supposed to report news. That so-called Bush doctrine above has been the official posture of the United States since the 1950s.  So you can take your latest round of Bush bashing and Obama ass  kissing and jam it up your stupid liberal ass.

President Bush tried but failed to persuade Congress to finance a new programme to develop more advanced “bunker-busting” nuclear bombs, as well as to design new atomic warheads. Now Obama is expected to rule out the development of new weapons systems — despite reservations from the military, which is mindful that Russia and China are modernising and expanding their nuclear forces respectively

What a load of horse shit. How about this you stupid asswipes; if it take congressional approval to increase nuclear posture and set design for new nuclear weapons, then how the fk do think Obama can change that same existing posture on his own?  Your dumb ass logic escapes me.

Oh, IÂ’m sorry; I forgot, liberal asswipes have no logic to invoke.

I always wondered what idiot would not only watch Colbert & Stewart (no offense, curious), but also think their shtick is funny. Really. I see it on tv and ask myself, every time, "who watches this shit?"

Then, a couple of weeks ago at the gym I noticed a woman watching Colbert while on the Step Climber, or whatever it's called.

She was laughing and laughing. Smiling the whole time like every word Colbert said was funny. During Stewart's show, she would laugh sometimes and sometimes have a pensive look on her face as if Stewart just made a serious point to ponder -- thus supporting Ace's thesis on Stewart's removable clown nose.

I dunno, I thought it was interesting.

Posted by: Vic at April 02, 2010 08:12 AM (QrA9E)

I suspect we have way more "regulations" than we have "laws" these days.  Nothing pleases the little Stalins in the bureaucracy more than the power to issue regulations.  They have the force of laws, and no one is ever held accountable for making them.  One of the first things that should be done after we take over is to strip the executive branch of regulatory powers.  They should be able to suggest regulations, but Congress should  have to approve it all.  At least that way there would be some limited check on the power of the vile little totalitarians who infest the apparatus of the state.

Overall I agree, but I beg to differ on one point - at least Michigan doesn't try to pay for everything by accumulating unlimited debt.  Balanced budget amendment.  Best thing the R's did back when they still had some power in this poor state.  Every state should enact one, and eventually the Fed.

Hell, Vic.  It's the EPA.  You know, the guys who told congress to get cap and trade done, or else it'll be all cap and no trade.

The problem is that besides the few people who keep an eye on these things, it will go unnoticed by the vast majority.  Well, until the price of everything shoots through the roof , that is.

Then they'll just blame it on "corporate greed."

Posted by: The Outlaw in the Heavenly Hall at April 02, 2010 04:24 AM (15wBI)

53 One of the first things that should be done after we take over is to strip the executive branch of regulatory powers.  They should be able to suggest regulations, but Congress should  have to approve it all.

If I recall correctly a court case several years ago during the evil Buuush admin the courts ruled against one of the agencies who issued new regulations saying that they had exceeded their authority. I forgot what the issue was about though so it will be hard to find.

The fact  is regulatory agencies can only issue regulations within the confines of their original mandate by Congress. EPA has been routinely exceeding their original mandate but somehow they almost never get reigned in.  Ciould this be because there are 4 communists and 1 socialist on the court who love EPA watermelon shit?

Posted by: Vic at April 02, 2010 04:25 AM (QrA9E)

54 What I would like to see done immediately after the new Republican Congress in 2012 repeals health scam is for them to repeal all the EPA regulations and abolish the agency.

Posted by: Vic at April 02, 2010 04:27 AM (QrA9E)

yeah but leftist organizations such as the Sierra Club can file injunctions and lawsuits against these agencies that tie 'em up in courts for years, no? So we can do the same?

They were doing it all the time when Bush was president. Bush couldn't even fight forest fires without the Sierra Club interfering!

oh, and who stopped the levies being built or rebuilt in New Orleans before hurricane katrina?

Posted by: This is Carlton, the doorman at April 02, 2010 04:29 AM (LT7/v)

I'm with you, Vic.

I've been working in the environmental field for over 20 years and I can tell you from experience that the EPA is the most frustrating, overbearing, uninformed and useless agency I've ever had the misfortune to report to.

Environmental regulations are best left to the states.  State agencies actually have skin in the game.  There is absolutely no reason for the EPA to exist.

AP at it again:

Scuffle as Muslims try to pray in Spanish cathedral

A group of Muslims tried to pray inside a Roman Catholic cathedral that was originally a mosque and then scuffled with security guards and police who tried to stop them, a Spanish official said today.

What they donÂ’t say is that before it was a mosque it was a Christian Visigoth temple.  The Muslims “converted” it to a mosque and the Christians converted it back after the Muslims were finally kicked out of Spain.

Now they are coming back and the PC crowd will ultimately surrender in Europe. With assholes like the AP here we can not be far behind.

64 Well I have been scouring the foreign presses for stories this morning. This started because someone had said earlier that Putin had said he pwned OBama and I wanted to find mention of this in a Russian or other foreign paper.

Couldn't find that but I did find something else.  It seems that coverage of the U.S. in general has changed drastically in the foreign press.

It used to be the more liberal papers like the U.K. Guardian would excoriate the U.S. and some of the new papers in the old eastern European countries like the Check Republic would support the U.S. The Russian papers like Pravda went both ways.

Well today they are all uniform. Obama has succeeded in unifying all of the foreign press in U.S. hate fests. Yes, they all hate us now.

It just proves that in foreign relations, you have no friends, only interests of the country. When you kill relations with one country by shitting on their interests it doesn't make you appeal to the other socialist countries any better.

68 I was thinking the "political asylum" thing was a back door to adding the illegals to the voting register without having to address immigration.  You are here in the USA with your entire family and you find out that the drug dealers have taken over your family home and you are afraid of being killed by them if you go back and try to live in that home, thus you seek political asylum and it is granted because political asylum is more palatable than granting amnesty.   Got to hand it to them, it's brilliant.

I don't know if they still do it, but on weekdays from 6AM to 10AM Our Lady of Victory church on the corner of William St. and Pine St., just a short walk from the NYSE, used to offer Mass every 20 minutes and they always had good attendance.
