— Dave in Texas Bacon wins in Alaska. Damn shame.
Here's a graphic which really doesn't have anything to do with this post, just puttin it out there and all. It reminded me of something, don't know why.

I hear it's a helluva drug.

@5: "Guaranteed piss poor record coming up from her. That is whether she outs a D after her name, keeps the I, or even goes back to the R."
Dollar sign, baby.
She and Boehner need to be in charge of the GOP NYE party. That would be one hell of a bash: Let it snow, let it snow, *hic* let it snow!

And that applies to a lot more States than AK. It should also tell the public that Section V of the VRA is only to be used against real Republicans in Southern States.
That is if you have commies in the DOJ. We now have two, one ratified by the Senate and one just appointed.
I hope the Republican Presidents remember this during the next session when the Dems in the Senate are blocking appointments. Numbers of recess appointments no longer count.

@11: "I hope that the so called republican leaders in the senate kick her to the curb for defying the will of the voters in the primary."
Dude, have you seen her leadership potential? She stood alone against the entire party and kicked our ass.
*squeal*
We *LOVE* her.

Ladies and gentlemen of the press, here is my statement.
Apparently, I suck.
Thank you all for coming out.

Anyone know how I can get in touch with that bear? I want to bring him to a party at the mansion.

You know what sucks the most about this race?
It feels like Murk has won the election fifty-times over because every single day since November 5 there's a story about her winning the damned thing.
She's ahead . She's ahead. She won. She won. She won. She won....

They seem like a fun couple. Is this Murkowski girl a fox? I'm having a party and I even got a coked up polar bear attending. We could use a gimp.

Waiting for Joe Miller to descend on Washington, handcuff all members of Congress to their seats, and declare himself Emperor! The National Beer will then become Miller Lite and beards will be required of all men.

@42: "Joe Miller was not a real viable candidate, so people held their noses and voted for Murkowski."
Um, Miller had just beaten Murkowski. If he wasn't viable, she was even less so - she couldn't even make it out of the primary.

@40: "The National Beer will then become Miller Lite and beards will be required of all men."
Beards required for all men? Smacks of state religion - either Amish or (PBUH) Islam. If it's the first one: death to you Xtianists. If it's the second, that's cool with us.
Or did you mean beards like our beautiful, brilliant, and vivacious First Lady? 'Cause we're cool with that one, too.

I was being silly. I live in Anchorage. I know well of the Murkowski dynasty. Real crooks.

C-SPAN just showed Senator Ted Stevens' funeral and a tribute to him. It was a very touching ceremony. He was a great man, certainly in the minds of Alaskans, many of whom were there to honor him and to say farewell to him.
