Nancy Pelosi: Gee I Can't Wait To Whoop Ass In The Midterms!
— Ace

I guess this is what she's supposed to be saying.

Still, it's another reason to vote her into oblivion.

"I don't spend a whole lot of time thinking about what the president's employees say about one thing or another," Pelosi said of Gibbs' remark.

"We feel very confident about where we are, whether that's well known to that gentleman [Gibbs] or not," she added later.

Meanwhile, Obama re-grades himself, and gives himself the grade he should have given himself the first time.

Last time he gave himself an "A." Oh I know -- he said "B+." But you know what a B+ means. A B+ means "I think I deserve an A for Awesomeness but I want to pretend to be modest and also signal that I'm not content with my awesome performance so far, even though it's awesome, and feel the need to do additional feats of awesomehood."

This time, he says his grade is "incomplete."

Now, where I come from, an "incomplete" is actually an F that could be converted into some other grade, depending on performance; but if no better performance is forthcoming, it resolves into a Failure.

That sounds about right to me.

It's still too early to judge his administration, President Barack Obama says.

In an interview broadcast on the CBS "Sunday Morning" program, Obama gave himself a grade of "incomplete" on the first 18 months of his presidency.
While citing some accomplishments, Obama said the true measure of success will be when the economy has rebounded fully and people are feeling better about it.

...

Coming out of the worst recession since the Great Depression, Americans still want to see a full recovery before they'll believe the worst is over, Obama said.
"People have every right to be scared, to be angry, to be frustrated," he said. "I don't expect the American people to be satisfied when we're only half of the way back."

That's a lie -- he doesn't believe Americans have that right. I know that because whenever Americans express that anger and frustration, his surrogates in the liberal media can't wait to call them racist.

Here's another lie:

The president also said he understands that criticism comes with the job.

When did he have this epiphany?

Neither will admit it, as self-importance and delusions of grandeur are the stock and trade of the ruling class.

And when it happens I want the Republican who takes the gavel to have the same shit-eating grin on his/her face that she had.

I want him to dance on the floor of the House followed immediately by the call "Let the committee hearings and investigations of this corrupt admin begin!". .

49 I think the dems will take an ass whooping  in the fall but I have to say I am a bit worried about their ability to turn out the "true believer" vote.  Case in point:  I saw an acquaintance on facebook link the Rep Weiner's rant from the other day and got many glowing comments about it.  I was at pains point out that the dems do not need 1 R vote to pass anything in the House and have held that status for over 2.5 years.

Another FB person had a rant up yesterday blaming the republicans for  BP's 10B write off of the 20B they will pay for the oil leak in the Gulf. I  reminded him that BP had cut that deal with President Kickass.

Coincidentally both of these folks are Floridians

My point is that  there is a very animated segment of the population that will vote D no matter what the facts are.  Combine that with the graveyard vote and the felon vote and it can tip the scales in key races. Just look at how Crist is polling against Rubio right now. How can that even be happening?

This time, he says his grade is "incomplete."

Now, where I come from, an "incomplete" is actually an F that could be converted into some other grade, depending on performance; but if no better performance is forthcoming, it resolves into a Failure.

Not where I come from.  When I was teaching, an incomplete was given to those who were doing fine, but missed one or two tests and would have received an "F" if they were given as 0's - which they should have.  Yes, they should have just received an "F", but the incomplete was no indication that they had failed tests.  Only that they were short a bit of work, or tests, and were being extra time to make it up.  (Mostly, the incompletes were given for reasons of financial aid needs of students).  In other words, incompletes would be given to someone who got a "B" or "C" average on three tests but missed two tests.  If someone had an "F" average on three tests and had two more to take, he wouldn't generally be given an incomplete, since he couldn't finish the work with a passing grade, no matter what.

That said, The Precedent most certainly did not get an "incomplete".  He took all the tests, as it were, and failed each and every one miserably.  He even did much extra work that wasn't assigned to him.  In fact, he did work that he wasn't even allowed to do (which constituted most of what he actually did).  But his average for those tests he took and work he completed was an "F", anyway.  The only tests he passed, in the sense that he got his agenda through,  involved him cheating - destroying taboos of American governance and denigrating American culture and tradition, not to mention raw criminal behavior (as with the theft of money from GM/Chrysler bondholders, the extortion of $20 billion from BP - even though the feral government was largely responsible for sinking the rig with their rush to put the fire out and with hamstringing any response by the states and localities, to the insane position against the Honduran government, and on and on).

No, The Precedent could not possibly get an incomplete with all the retarded things he did to screw America over.  He attended all the classes, took all the tests, handed in all the assigned work ... and it was all nothing but FAILURE!  The fact that the Indonesian Imbecile is trying to give himself an "incomplete", now, is pretty funny.  Of course, he thinks that he got an incomplete because he hasn't forced more anti-American, idiotic legislation through.  But, that is just one more idiotic (and laughably ridiculous) idea to come from the Avenging Angel of the Third World.

76 there's a guy who likes to talk to me about politics.  He grew up in the same county in NY where he now owns a home with a nice backyard.  You know the drill, nice job, nice house, nice wife, couple of kids, he thinks he is in heaven.  He's a registered republican.  He is still bothered by the last election.  Not because the republicans won but because he voted for the incumbent dem thinking the dems were going to win and figuring his vote didn't matter.  In the end, the republican won by 130 votes.  This was huge.  The republicans, before this guy tom suozzi, the dem, took office, had been thrown out over corruption.  This guy suozzi came in and revamped the county buildings because the county was paying rent and leaving this huge complex of buildings empty.    But then, in his next term, he began to rais taxes and was talking about cameras at all the intersections, a further raise in property taxes and a big new energy tax.  Since he had always "done right by the county and used the money wisely" my friend assumed that he would just be voted back in for another term.  The guy is still shocked that the republican, a guy named mangano, won.  And he is further upset that, as a republican, he voted for suozzi, the dem, cause he assumed that the dem would win.  He keeps saying "I don't know how I missed that cause I consider myself well informed".  Now this guy mangano, the republican, is in and the cameras went into all the intersections but the energy tax seems to have disappeared along with the raise in property taxes, according to my friend, so he is happy.  He talks to me about this on the average of about once a week, it really bothers him.  He said that mangano, the republican, barely had commercials, and suozzi, the democrat was walking around as though he was in for another term.  It bothers my friend that he voted for the dem and the republican won, cause he is a republican and he missed all the cues.

I'm telling this story because I wonder what this means.  What the average citizen is thinking.  This race was a shocker.  and my friend did vote for the dem.  But how many other republicans did the same thing?  I wonder how this will impact the coming elections, this kind of mind set.

Heh!  Truth be told, I'm betting there are more Democrats who are members of exclusive  country clubs etc. than Republicans.  That's another one of those big myths--that the rich are all Republicans.  The majority of big donors are Democrats--another dirty little secret the media won't tell.

I'm telling this story because I wonder what this means.  What the average citizen is thinking.  This race was a shocker.  and my friend did vote for the dem.  But how many other republicans did the same thing?  I wonder how this will impact the coming elections, this kind of mind set.

Good Heavens!  With a mentality like that (we're going to lose anyways, I might as well vote for the opposition), we are screwed!  Tell your friend to man up, find a pair (they're probably in his wife's purse), and get with the program.  Yeesh!  We don't need to give away any votes to Democrats:  they cheat and steal enough of them and their party is rife with stupid sheep voters.

Now that I'm "The Man", I will right most of these wrongs, and return the nation's wealth to it's rightful owners, the drug abusers, alcoholics, felons, progressives, liberals, strippers, African-American's, Mexican-American's, and the red people.  Any complaints about my policies will be dealt with censure and automatic enrollment in the Obama School of Corrective Thought.

I have no doubt she has the necessities for the presidency, but I'd like to see her get involved with something. Anything. Otherwise, her current activities come off as painfully like community organizing.

Posted by: 1969 Ford Blow Me at August 01, 2010 02:54 PM (e5DC/)

Health care costs rise, naturally, as more procedures are developed and covered.  Helath care costs stop rising when health care, tiself, stops expanding.  You could have told people, after heart transplants were developed, that they are not entitled to them, and kept the costs down.  But people got the new procedures and had to pay for them.  Hence, more cost.

You anti-American idiots think that you could have health insurance that never rises in price because you think of the world as a static place that never changes.  You staticists are the representatives of stagnation on Earth.

Health care costs continually drop for current procedures and drugs. DROP. It is only for the introduction of new procedures and drugs (that you will demand, since you are too stupid to understand what's actually involved in bringing new procedures to market and what is needed to keep that advancement going) that prices rise ... well, that and legal fees - which you idiot staticists also love and support.

Go crawl back under your hole, staticist.  We don't share your love of stagnation and death.

But seriously, folks, the reasoning is that liberals believe everything, by right of divine might and/or its atheist equivalent, belongs to them already. Therefore, if you have something they want or are using something in a way they disapprove of, you are "taking" it from them.

That's why they constantly rail against the rich, corporate fatcats, etc., yet they fawn over rich Hollywood celebrities, Warren Buffet, Soros, etc., i.e. rich people who mouth the same platitudes that they do.

Because they're greedy and stupid little maggots, that's why. Can you imagine anything more greedy than demanding that everyone else does what YOU want with THEIR resources?

165 A WS guy told me that the dems are getting ready to "box the republicans in".  They are going to suggest, according to said WS guy, that they will leave the Bush tax cuts as they are now, completely intact and create a new tax bracket for people making $500 grand and above  WS guy said that since that is like 1% of the population, most people will breathe a "sign of relief that their taxes aren't raised and think this is great".  Problem is, WS guy says the republicans will vote against this.  Giving the dems ammunition to say "see the republicans are the party of the rich and they don't care about the little people, cause we are meeting them half way and they can't even do that".   The effect of this is, that a guy making $250 grand will have no sympathy for a guy making $600 grand, and this will prove to be very popular with people.  If this happens, the republicans have to go along or at least most of them have to or this might jeopardize the gains they have going into the midterms, says WS guy.

170 Nice post over at Neo Neocon

"...Obama’s vanity is more on the order of grandiosity of the type common to tyrants, a sense of his own power and superiority to all surrounding him. It makes him believe he has the right to jettison the usual checks and balances of government in his quest to have his way. And saying something as absurd as “we shouldn’t be campaigning all the time” in the face of the bald fact that he, almost more than any other president, has been in continual campaign mode since the day he was inaugurated is more in the nature of the Big Lie than anything else.

Obama lies with the smooth and unruffled mien of the con man. There is little reason for him to stop now, nor could he. Most of his life he has gotten away with lying and benefited from it. What’s more, if he abandoned lying, he would have almost nothing left except the truth—which he knows the American public would reject. So what else is he supposed to do?"

I admit my weakness that I occasionally shout at them, but it has no real impact. They didn't reason themselves into the position (because it's unreasonable), so they can't be reasoned out of it.

Straight up whoppers like "we'd be glad to cut everything else" are just proof that you're dealing with someone who has zero honorable or reasonable intentions. They just lie uncontrollably, and since they have the MFM to help shape the perception, and they have made the longstanding claim that rules of decency and honesty simply do not apply to them, they largely get a pass.

Sooner or later, those chickens will come home to roost, and it will be very ugly. But it looks like that day is not today.

237 Republicans admit they favor the rich and wars too much.

You know why that seems to be true? It's because the rich
HAVE THE MONEY! The republicans try to make the economy palatable to people that HAVE THE MONEY to get them to SPEND AND INVEST THEIR MONEY. When the RICH SPEND MONEY, it is taxed. When the RICH MAKE MONEY, it is taxed. That's where INCREASED REVENUE comes from.

When you increase taxes, the RICH DON'T SPEND MONEY. That money is not taxed. Since they don't spend money, other people THAT DON'T HAVE MONEY don't make anything. Then the rich DON'T MAKE MONEY, and it is not taxed. That's where DECREASED REVENUE comes from.

The wars part, that's just part of the constitution, and defense.

Lying sacks about the war, how come 70% of everyone voted to go to war in Iraq? Including Clinton, Kerry, Edwards.  Obama didn't, because HE WASN'T A SENATOR, OR EVEN IN FEDERAL OFFICE at the time, so HE COULDN'T.  If president present was in office, he would have voted for the war. He hasn't bucked the party in his life, he wouldn't have started then.

Nice try Walter. At least you got the lib parts right. It's a start.

The Republican would let him rot in jail because he is a sleazeball criminal. As for the janitor, is it the rich person's fault that the janitor made bad life choices that put him in that posistion? Or maybe that janitor is actually a small business person who has contracted for the janitorial services, and he aspires to one day crap on the golden toilet. Don't forget, people make millions doing the jobs no one else wants to do.

This NEVER happens so I'm a little surprised.  It used a java script on the website to send the file, so it's likely that Hotair has been attacked.
