Already been done. Bush had some cockamamie "Human Terrain" program in Afghanistan for years. It was a bunch of anthropologists traipsing around the country trying to figure out if we were winning the hearts and minds. It didn't do much good and IIRC several team members were killed. The last one, I think, was a woman who met a pretty grisly fate. The program has recently been shut down.

That being said, anything by Robert Spencer, though taking that to work would start a fight with Aziz, because Spencer is a "scary enemy of Islam."

I agree with the principle expressed here.  The repression of free speech - and the truth - is sickening.  But there's little reason to get worked up - Europe is done.  Let's say they finally allow people to speak the truth about Islam - let's say to the point that we are able to speak the truth in this country.  What will it matter?  They will still just lay down and die.  They would rather shuffle into the gas chambers themselves than push the Muslims into them.

Nobody is talking about doing something to fix the Islamic problem.  In this country we bitch about this issue a lot, and most regular Americans have zero sympathy for those degenerates.  But nobody with any authority at all is proposing to do something.  We're still letting them come to this country.  We're still letting them breed like cockroaches.  We're letting them undermine our institutions, buy our politicians, commit crimes, and run training centers for terrorists on our soil, while playing defense in an effort to avert the worst acts of terrorism. 

The only long term hope for the US is that we're armed to the teeth.  When the Muz vermin finally feel strong enough to make their move, the rest of us infidels will not go quietly.  The sooner it all comes to a head, the better.

Americans are vaguely aware that the political axis is different in Europe, but aren't quite sure what it is.

The basic axis in Europe is "Nationalist vs. Internationalist." This is a longstanding thing, and we basically don't get it because we're a really big nation with a couple of neighbors, they're a bunch of small countries next to each other. Anyway, this is their big conflict, whether it was the pre-WWII mass conflict between International and National Socialists, or the battles over the European Union and EEU.

What really throws Americans off is that the "individualist vs. collectivist" line has just about everybody on the "collectivist" end of the scale in Europe. "Conservatives" in England are basically Democrats, i.e. "a little socialist."

Which is why "right" equals "fascist" in Europe, because to them, "right" equals "nationalist," and the only nationalists they have are "national socialists," quite literally fascists. Whereas in the US, the political spectrum is substantially broader, and almost no one falls into the "national socialist" spot on the spectrum (arguably you could stuff some "communitarians" here).

Which leads us, ironically, to the reason why Europeans look down on Americans and the American "right."
