"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal..... endowed with certain unalienable rights"
Unfortunately, you have to start listening at about 21:45 if you intend to keep your lunch. At that, it's still hard to hold the gorge down until the misquoting of the DoI, at which point you're free to release your inner burrito. You can see his distaste as he pauses to parse the words on his teleprompter before striking "Creator".

TEHRAN, Iran — Iranian border guards detained seven U.S. troops as they tried to illegally enter the Islamic state, the semi-official Fars news agency reported on Sunday.
"Recently seven American troops were detained by Iranian guards in a southeastern province of the country," Fars said. "Two Iranians accompanying the troops were also arrested."
No other news agency immediately reported the incident.

Values Voters Sip From Tea Party Cup (by NPR Staff)
Values Voters have been called many things: the Christian right, social conservatives, evangelicals and more. Names aside, they are most known for being a dedicated subset of the Republican Party that focuses on social issues like abortion and gay marriage.
A few years ago, Values Voters were a driving force in elections across the country. Now the spotlight has shifted to their brethren, the Tea Party, which is primarily concerned with fiscal issues. Is there really much difference between the two parties, or are their messages starting to overlap?
They are trying to tie then Tea Party movement to social cons because they think that that will hurt the movement with respect to independents. They are scared to death of the Tea party now.
And they can't blame this little bit of BS propaganda on the AP, it was totally written by NPR assholes.

My channeling of Eleanor Roosevelt was a gimmick used to fool the rubes into believing that progressive theories were factual and proven. Once over that hurdle, it was simply a matter of plucking the low hanging fruit, also known as the unwashed proletariat, and those classless buffoons were herded into Marxist dogma like sheep to slaughter.

Let me be clear®, the word creator was improperly placed in the Declaration of Independence, and I have rewritten that portion to properly reflect what the founders should have said.
None of the founders would be considered scholars, so repairing their mistake and bringing clarity to fore was my best hope. It has been done.

Yeah, if the Minnesota game gets too boring, we'll check out RedZone. We had it before when we had DirecTV and I wasn't too into it, but back then I had any game I wanted so maybe under these circumstances it'll be more appealing.

I have it made. My cable carries channels from NY City, Philly and Scranton. A lot of duplication but I don't watch ABC, NBC or CBS anyway. But during football season there are different games in the different markets sometimes so I have a good chance of seeing the most interesting games.
Posted by: PoconoJoe at September 19, 2010 07:53 AM (BMOIE)
Which carrier? I had DirecTV in Indiana, which doesn't as much snow as NE but definitely has lots of grey skies and rain (plus tornadoes) and we didn't get knocked out very often, certainly no more than cable did in Houston or Boston.
Maybe you should try again. Dish technology has improved, I think, so if your experience was a few years ago, it may be much better now.
Now in Indiana we couldn't get any locals or any CBS, so that blew, but I think that was a rural market thing.
