Gabe had him in the Maybe and Susceptible to Pressure category.
Indeed.
He's giving a fairly emotional speech using a bunch of constituents who are standing around him as the reason he is voting yes. And now they are going to tell his story.
Fox says they had him on yesterday and he was worried about cost. I guess the CBO-House Dem leadership two-step on the budget was good enough for him.

For a variety of reasons, this tally doesnÂ’t remotely reflect the billÂ’s real ten-year costs. First, . As most people are well aware, 2010 has now been underway for some timit includes 2010 as the initial yeare. Therefore, the CBO would normally count 2011 as the first year of its analysis, just as it counted 2010 as the first year when analyzing the initial House health bill in the middle of 2009. But under strict instructions from Democratic leaders, and over strong objections from Republicans, the CBO dutifully scored 2010 as the first year of the latest version of Obamacare. If the clock were started in 2011, the first full year that the bill could possibly be in effect, the CBO says that the billÂ’s ten-year costs would be $1.2 trillion.
of course we all realized it was bologna but i hadn't realized 2010 start date
also this;
The CBO projects that over the next four years, less than two percent of the bill’s alleged “ten year” costs would hit: just $17 billion of the $940 billion in costs that the Democrats are claiming. In fact, the costs through President Obama’s entire presidency, should he be reelected, would be $336 billion. What would the president leave behind for his successor? According to the CBO, he would leave behind costs of $837 billion during his successor’s first term alone. If his successor were to serve a second term, he or she would inherit a cool $2.0 trillion in Obamacare costs — about six times its costs during Obama’s own tenure. This legislation is a ticking time-bomb.

I couldn't agree more. Did you ever notice that the Democrats never include in their "emotional good intentions" any reference to the overall financial difficulties that their feel-good, big-spending policies will have on the same people they claim they want to help? If they were honest, they would tell these people they are supposedly "helping" that for sub-par health care managed by government bureaucrats, you get higher tax rates, higher interest rates, diminished U.S. dollar, sluggish economic growth, higher unemployment, etc. But, of course, they know these same rubes that support this health care legislation won't be able to make the connection between the legislation and these other economic problems.
I have to tell you that it's moments like this that I loathe what our country has become thanks to the douchebags in Washington, D.C., especially the Democrats.

Believe me, a lot of us feel exactly the same way. What makes it even worse is that these changes to our country and health care system are being pushed by a jerkoff with no relevant educational or private sector background that really had no business getting anywhere near the office of President. But many wanted to say they voted for the first minority to become President, while ignoring the guy's far Left background and associations. Too many of this group, especially those that regularly voted for Republicans in prior elections, are still hesitant to admit that they screwed up by voting for Obama and giving the Democrats full control of Congress and the White House.
Nonetheless, I've made sure to tell personal acquaintances that are in this group that they screwed up royally and now the country and all of us will have to pay for their emotion-ridden stupidity. Some agree with me that they screwed up, but others spout the "Obama's trying to help the country" and "Give Obama a chance." I would like to punch the latter group of morons right in the freakin' face. If this thing passes, next week could finally be the time to do this.

Which brings me to the thought of how demeaning it would be to have the libtards; the crying emos; the limp wrists; the girly boys; the tiny little rats bring down the greatness of America.
Seriously, or is that Internet hyperbole? Barack Obama has said exactly two things that I believe: One was that the healthcare bill will pass. When he said that a week or two ago, I knew it was in the bag. I also figured there'd be some "comeback" drama, because his side loves it so. Offically, they'll be a couple of votes shy at H-hour, but then it'll pass, "surprising" everybody.
The other thing he said is that he will transform America. Also true, but the transformations won't be because of what he does, they'll be in spite of what he does. If you really think these little rats (good description, btw) can bring down America's greatness, then you underestimate this country and her people.

Show up on election day bright and early when the polls open. Count the number of old people vs the number of immigrants.
You don't win over the public with long-term analysis of the cost trends and CBO reports. You win by keeping it simple- it's how Obama got elected in the first place. The GOP should be running ads non-stop during Wheel of Fortune and Matlock reruns pointing out that this bill makes huge cuts to Medicare and will increase health insurance premiums.

Not a single kindness for them all. I wish nothing but miserable failure and pain for them.
What saddens me the most is that their "winning" argument to the people is;
They stand before the American people holding a dark colored bottle and say,
Drink this! It is a miracle and it will restore and improve your health, lower your costs, trim the deficit, create jobs, and provide disaster relief!!
US; What's in it?

156 And that, imho, is precisely where we made our (hopefully not in the long run) fatal mistake: let's face it, we went to sleep and lived happy, comfortable, safe lives thinking that it would never end, never be threatened. We let the foxes into the farmyard, thinking we were strong enough and perhaps lucky enough to never need worry about them making a straight line for the chicken coop. We forgot that the world is indeed a very evil and dangerous place that America wasn't necessarily safe from and freedom is something you have to be vigilant and tough in order to keep; we forgot that not all enemies come from outside. Now here we all are, and the big question is: does America still have the heart and the grit to get over this and forge ahead from a very serious setback?
It's not over yet, and even if this stinkbomb does pass, it still isn't over. As somebody already said above: see you in November.

I really hate these people too. Of course our ruling elite and their families will be exempt from all this crap. I still think that if they want to be leaders, they should lead by example and be the initial subjects of a pilot study to see if their bright idea works. If it does, then fine (which it wouldn't) and if it didn't then the rest of us wouldn't have this crap foisted on us. When the health care bill was being debated in committee, a Republican from WA state (Dave Reichart) tried to put in an ammendment that would force members of Congress to be subjected to the same health care reform as they want to legislate to us. It was voted down on party lines. All the Democrats voted no, and all the Republicans in committee voted yes. Of course the majority party ruled.

199 The Olympics was supposed to be the payback for helping Barry get into office...much like his contempt for the rank and file kool aide drinkers; Barry's contempt for the Chi-town pols, mobsters, union bosses, race hustlers, and affiliated thugs knows no bounds. It is perhaps not such a wise feature in his narcissism. I have long held the opinion that he despises everything, in particular those who he panders to for support -- in that regard he's very dangerous, but he does have some weaknesses that need to be exploited.

All of this talk about getting revenge come November is all nice and sweet and stuff but really, what we will get is more R's than D's who will NOT do whatever they have to do to roll this garbage bill back.I just don't see the fight in the R's.
There are flashes of fight with certain R's such as Colburn but then again, what are we really seeing when Colburn dons the brass knuckles and throws a punch.What I see is a "single" Senator doing what we need ALL of them saying and doing in unison, it isn't there.
We need the R's to continue using any and all loopholes and legal proccesses to stop this garbage bill but at the same time these R sons a bitches need to bring their self described level of lividity up to the level of their constituents and join Colburn in a bare knuckle, take no prisoners brawl on these disgusting little socialist sons a bitches to let them know that there is nothing for them in accepting these bribes that are flying around at light speed in "our" capital.
People like me will not trust people like what we have in our political system if they don't bring it full bore NOW.Simply changing D's to R's does not give me so much as a single wink more at night.
Revenge is NOT putting a gutless politician into office who will have no stomach to roll bills like these back.It's not called being vengance, it's called being a sucker.

Jesus.
So it was like this yesterday:
Pelosi has 192 "definitely voting yes." This leaves her 24 votes shy of the necessary 216. There are 28 maybes ... and she needed to get 24 out of 28.
So today, with Boccieri declaring Yes, it's like this:
Pelosi has 193 "definitely voting yes." This leaves her 23 votes shy of the necessary 216. There are 27 maybes ... and she needs to get 23 out of 27.
Why all the wailing and gnashing of teeth? She was bound to get some of the 28 'Maybes'. Possibly Pelosi and the dems will pull this out, but the numbers say she's still got an uphill fight.
