Nomageddon: Only 201 House Votes for Health Care?
— Ace

15 votes shy?

Here's a detailed round-up of the persuadables and long-shots. And here is Jay Cost's take.

DrewM. just emailed me that Dennis Kucinich just reaffirmed his "No" vote so that's one less in the persuadable pool.

On the other hand -- at that first link -- Democrats now have 50 publicly on board for reconciliation in the Senate.

2 I doubt it. More likely disinformation to get the opposition to ease up.

The senate is attempting to trick the house with the reconciliation promise.

That's nice news.  Hopefully the nomentum will kill this pig.  Soon.

There are all the problems with it we've heard and talked about.  But there's another one:  I'm so damned sick of it.  I have healthcare reform fatigue.

7 There won't be reconciliation, it's a lie to get the senate bill through the house so it's at least passed.

Question for Obama from Cato Inst.

"The rationale for your proposed tax on high-cost health insurance plans is that it would encourage people to purchase less-comprehensive coverage and thereby reduce health care spending.

If thatÂ’s a good idea, then why is it bad when insurers raise premiums?"

The White House & its resident apologists seem to think the problem is that we the people need just a little more disinformation, just a little more of the phony lying pr sales hype that has always worked before.

Too bad for them and good for us that the magic is all gone, and we can see their lies more clearly every day.

I want all of them to just shut up and leave us alone.

Posted by: Boots at March 08, 2010 04:32 PM (06JTY)

15 One more thing.  Fuck ObamaCare, Fuck the House of Representitives and fuck Obama.  Get a fucking stake and drive it through the heart of this piece of shit legislation. America's tired of it and if you Democrats keep on pressing it and actually do shove it down our throats, you won't like the results. The American people will revolt and it will be of epic proportions.

18 The 50 votes in the senate isn't at the link. The link goes to HA which then goes to some hyper libtard blog which then goes to some rancid libtard daily kos spread sheet. The info may be correct but the source is questionable. It will probably take more Rahm fingering.

20 Not getting my hopes up on this one, there are Congresspeople holding off disclosing if they are going to vote yes or no till the day of the vote.

22 The 50 votes for reconciliation don't matter. It wouldn't matter if they had twice as many; there will never be a reconciliation. Once the thing passes the House it will be on its way to Obama's desk to be signed. The House Democrats will be hung out to dry, and any one of them that doesn't know that has no business in the House.

This thing lives or dies in the House. Anybody with a Democrat representative, call him and tell him to vote against Obamacare.

25 A good friend of ours is about to run against that turd John Barrow (D-GA).  He's a staunch conservative, former head of security for the U.S. Air Force.  He's Mike Horner.  Anyone from Barrow's district needs look no farther than Mike.  He's never held any political office.  No one owns him.  He's one of the most decent, admirable people ever to run for office (especially in this cesspool).

Not so sure about that.   Swamp Yankee over at Red State suggests the Open Left spreadsheet was crap:

"Cost isnÂ’t counting Senate heads, but the same media spin is happening on that side of the aisle. There has been a much ballyhooed report of Senate Democrats obtaining the necessary fifty votes for reconciliation. It is based on an Open Left spreadsheet, which is little more than propaganda."

36 House members getting lined up for their "payoffs" by declaring a "no" vote now.  Pelousy has two weeks to buy their votes...and she will.  Remember what the fraud said "I will do anything...".  And he will.

39 #38  Same problem here.  Peter Welch is a first-class Obama whore and would vote for ANYTHING a Democrat proposed if there was something in it for him.  He's looking for a step up to replace Pat Leahy in a few years, so he'll toe the strict Democrat Party line all the way.  I've written....several times....but opposition mail goes in file 13.

I see Steve Driehaus from the Ohio 1st is on the "long shot" list.

Nonsense. The guy is a fucking idiot. Seriously...he's Maxine Waters fucking stupid.

He has no fucking clue about what the fuck is going on and will only do what Pelosi tells him he should do.

I'd actually be OK with Slaughter if she brought something back to us or if she was ambitious. I could understand and sorta respect that. Instead, she's just a robot that votes with the Dems no matter what, hasn't ever sought higher office, and brings nothing. Seriously, she's an idiot - the one that did the 'dead sister's teeth' crapola - thats her.

49 Why is three nomemtum, probably has to do with Obama telling the far left that congress has to sacrifice their political futures to ensure his health care plan.

Everything out of his mouth has always been about "Me Me Me" Many DEMS and Congress are saying "hell to the no" and are getting sick of his narcissism. I think Obama in the end will do far more damage to his own party than he will do to this country. Many DEMS are starting to realize this but unlike America, the damage done to the Democratic party will be permanent or long lasting.

He will be the LAST Black president we will see in a LONG time.

50 Intrade has shot up to 60+ for ObamaCare to pass sonce the Rahm in the shower story broke and Massa decided to quit. A lot of Dem Reps are going to ose in 2010 no matter how they vote. BUT if they vote party line maybe they can catch another Federal appointment. I am sure that Rahm will be able to find them something
