Because you paid for this -- you might as well enjoy the fruits of your labor.
You ponied up good hard cash, that could have gone to your retirement, or a kid's braces, or a new plasma tv, so that NPR could insult you as stupid and crazy. And a "teabagger."
Definitely click -- you are paying for their servers, after all.

Well, when the Republicans controlled Congress they could have stopped funding these leftwing/Democrat organizations such as NPR and ACORN, but they didn't.
And they still won't say a peep about these politically-biased publicly-funded groups.

They key to this video is described in its own promotion:
The Wall Street Journal dubbed him "the undisputed guru of the form." He creates political animation from an undisclosed location somewhere in San Francisco.
A SF wing nut liberal made the video. Remember how much the left raised hell a few years ago when Bush appointed someone who was going to try to get this BS organization back toward the center and away from blatant political BS like this.
If I am not mistaken it is illegal for government money to be spent on political ads;. I guess we will all have to wait on Holder to prosecute.

But for Reee-ly Stooo-pid, I'm going for the administrator at National Public Radio who commissioned an animated video. What is this, the McCarthy era: Charlie McCarthy? Do they have a 1-800 number to call? Just go to various pay phones (yes, they still exist even in the Age of Cellphones), dial the number, and leave it off the hook.
I do this with "Pacifica Radio" fundraisers all the time .Those people have some non-profit radio stations here in California that are even worse than NPR, if you can imagine that.
Posted by: Curmudgeon at January 04, 2010 09:21 AM (ujg0T)
If you think about it carefully, you morons will realize that it is perfectly consistent of NPR to mock citizens for exercising their 1st Amendment rights under the Constitution!
You see, while the exact same amendment protects NPR from government censorship, NPR regularly self-censors itself on behalf of the Government!
It's analogous to a whore saying that a respectable lady, who doesn't rent her body out for money, is stupid. Insulting to the lady yes, but perfectly logical from the moral situation of a whore.

Intolerable Acts: (1774)
The Boston Port Act ordered that port closed until payment was made for the destroyed tea. The Massachusetts Government Act increased the powers of the British governor and forbade town meetings without his written approval. The Administration of Justice Act provided that Massachusetts courts could be deprived of jurisdiction over British officials. The Quartering Act authorized the housing of soldiers in public buildings. It is nothing new that government would attempt to suppress descent among it's people, it is however occurring at an unprecedented level in America.

Noticed that most of the comments below the video expressed anger or frustration at this propaganda clip.
There are two constants. The right always lets the left set the terms of the debate, and the left always overreaches.
This is an example of that overreach, and at some point, even the so called "moderate" portion of the '52' that were enthralled with Obama's pant creases are going to get sick of this stuff. The tea party participants were not all AoSHQ hardliners. A significant portion of those who voted for Obama will look at themes like this and say, "Wait a second. I voted for hope and change from a guy who ran as a uniter. I was one of the enlightened ones who wanted to dump Bush. But just because I'm not totally 100% on board with writing a blank check to Fannie or having the government take over healthcare, these Obama base guys are coming after ME. And they hate me. Wow. I thought I was one of the good guys."
Pour it on, libs. Keep mocking and alienating anyone who is one degree to the right of Noam Chomsky.

Thanks for playing the race card early; it saves time. A cursory examination of the videos taken at the protests proves that your assertion is false. my favorite sign seen at one of these protests captures your intellectual dishonesty perfectly:
"It doesn't matter what this sign says. You'll say that it's racist"
Further, these people are no 'angrier' than the so-called peace protestors carrying 'death to Israel' signs. And these people were lauded by the Left.

how is that something that sane middle-of-the-road people will look at and go "yeah, those people are talking sense! Obama really is a socialist nazi antichrist muslim!" it won't. because it's CRAAAZY.
My, aren't you a stupid and uninformed person?
More than four in 10, 41%, of respondents said they had a very or somewhat favorable view of the Tea Party movement, while 24% said they had a somewhat or very negative view of the group. The Tea Party movement gained notoriety over the summer following a series of protests in Washington, D.C. and other cities over government spending and other U.S. economic policies.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party, which controls both the White House and Congress, has a 35% positive rating compared with a 45% negative rating.
Thanks for playing, twit. Here's a certificate of participation to build your self- esteem.

my point is that the tea baggers' ire is not infectious
my point was that the shambolic tea party movement is a bunch of perma-angry white people shouting and holding grammatically incorrect signs on Fox news.
These two points are not synonomous. One casts doubts upon the effectiveness of the protests. The fact that this movement is outpolling both existing parties is proof that your latest assertion is spurious.
The other uses no fewer than five slurs/ talking points/misrepresentations to demean the movment. You cannot prove that this movement is composed entirely of white people. You cannot prove that all of these people are permanently angry. Shouting tends to be the norm at most protests. As for Fox news, the fact that other media outlets chose to ignore or downplay these protests was their choice. Fox didn't obtain exclusive rights.

Here's what I posted on NPR:
'Thanks NPR. Those in the TEA movement should learn to talk the way progressives did for eight years: "I blame Chimpy McBush-Hitler Halliburton. We're ruled by Cheney's JUNTA that steals elections and will NEVER surrender power! Eleventy!11! RACIST-HOMOPHOBE-NAZIS!"
That progressive-speak was so darned sophisticated. I'm starting to get nostalgic.'

Jack Kemp II- your advice for Conservatives is akin to a weasel advising hens where to hide their eggs.
Vim Toot!
Here's my comment at pbs' site:
Get ready for the unemployment line, npr hipsters. We're going to fire you. With malice.
Get off our backs. Get out of our pockets. Get a job because, we're gonna privatize you.
A very scary prospect for leftist parasites.
This one hit is all you'll ever get from me. I registered just to spit at npr for your intentional insult of people unlike you.
DIAF, liberal.

Because pointless pathetic existence seemed a bit harsh. In some ways, being a cautionary example is a valid reason for living. But I digress, we can only judge you by your fruits: you come here where you tired act is not wanted, you come with nothing, you use nics that frequently reveal you lack of education in the subject and which actually undercut your own attempted pointmaking, in your confusion, you link to posts that show the opposite of what you intend and yet you are content to be the punching bag for us semi-literate knuckledraggers. You're an auto-contrarian semi-educated bot.
Not much of a life, that.

my point is that the tea baggers' ire is not infectious. and it's leading to the marginalization of the GOP as a political force. Let's say the Democratic party f**ks things up on a massive scale a la GWB, the great centrist middle of America will be scared off from voting republican by the hysterical extreme right wing personified by the Teabaggers. it's simply not an attractive or marketable product.

It doesn't matter what you personally think of the Tea Party movement. The fact that NPR is blatantly promoting propaganda against a group of citizens based on a difference in political views should be very disturbing to anyone. Look out, Code Pink....you may be next, after they get rid of all the conservatives.
Do the libs not realize that not all of them will have a place in the new Obama regime, once the dust settles? Just as the left used Cindy Sheehan against Bush, then dropped her like a hot potato, they will do the same to any of you. Illegals, minorities, feminists, gay activists....you will all be expendable at some point if you stand by and watch this kind of thing go on.

Why do you persist in calling decent people "testicle-lickers?" Are you just being an asshole or do you just have political Tourette's or something?
I think we established a long time ago that a lot of people are no longer going to accept the double-standard that lets the left shout "go back to the ovens" at pro-israel rallies and it gets swept under the rug, and yet when the right raises its voice we're "too scary" for moderates.
If moderates think radical racism and marxist mania is okay, but stating the truth loudly is unacceptable, they ain't moderates and they wain't gonna vote for us anyway.

1) NPR receives less than 2% of its funding from the government.
2) Fiore does not work for NPR, nor was he commissioned to do the piece. NPR picked it up.
3) The cartoon was neither novel nor funny. (Wow, tea partiers call liberals fascists, socialists and nazis. What's new?).
4) Blaming this cartoon on government support is a very "teabag" thing to claim.
5) Does the tea party movement really want to engage in a discussion of tax-exempt orgs crossing the political advocacy line?
Posted by: Jeffery at January 05, 2010 09:55 AM (Vb+Z0)
Wow, Jeffery. Since the cartoon wasn't commissioned by NPR, but only "picked up," there's no bias. And today when I listened to some Brit douchebag from The Daily Show on All Things Considered describing how crazy the tea party and Sarah Palin supporters were (apparently they are "comedy gold" because they believe in things), that didn't display any bias either. Even though the appearance on ATC was basically a promo for said Brit douchebag's new show on Comedy Central as well as the increasingly pathetic Daily Show.
I guess we should just sit back and enjoy NPR's totally coincidental propaganda on behalf of liberal causes, and obvious logrolling benefiting liberal media outlets?
No.
Let's take back that "2%" (why do I suspect it's higher?) and go after their non-profit status. Let's mess with their happy little sandbox of mutual promotion. Let's make them as uncomfortable and unhappy as possible, within of course the limits of the law.
Yes we can!

There have been some other advances GHD Hairs since the early invention by Issac Shero and the addition of having straighteners that allow the user to straighten wet hair is one good example. Overall though the ceramic ones are the most common and remain the brain child of the early day inventors Replica watches and will be around for many more years to come.
The GHD Hair Straightener or some may call them hair tongs either way they have become the modern day must have hair accessory for women and now many men. The humble GHD Hairs Straightener some say can date right back to 1872 to a Parisian gentleman called Marcel Grateau. His early invention which was basically heat rods which were used with chemical lotions which were then added to the hair to straighten it. http://www.ghd-hairs-online.com/ghd-rare-styler-p-2.html£¡£¡£¡£¡Like many early day inventions there were many draw backs and many people would find their scalp and hair became damaged and in many cases burnt. The first registered hair iron patent was in 1906 by a chap called Simon Monroe, his invention was basic and in a different format. The hair tool he created consisted of metal teeth which the user would use to comb through the hair; these worked but would not be considered the same product as the GHD Straightener that are used today. £¡£¡£¡£¡The first real hair straightner design that could be considered would have to be in 1909 by Issac Shero, he patented and invented the first heated hair care tools. The first designs were basically hot metal plates that were used to slide through the hair, the products were a great improvement on the early day inventions and provided the user with a much reduced risk on damaging the hair. He then advanced the designs at a later date and introduced more advanced ones which included the ceramic straightener and electrical straighteners. Not only this, but he was also the first person to provide the user with the ability to adjust the heat settings and the sizes of the straightener. £¡£¡£¡£¡There are some Chinese herbs also which helps you to reduce the hair fall like psoralea seeds, mulberries and oyster. These herbs are also very effective and reduce the hair fall. Henna is also very effective herb for hairs. It is one of the oldest herb which helps to reduce the hair fall and it act as the conditioner to the hairs. Rosemary is also very good for hairs. Boil the rosemary with nettle, peach leafs, burdock and sage. And wash your hairs with this solution on regular basis, this will help you to reduce the hair fall and gives you healthy and strong hairs.£¡£¡£¡£¡Most of his design techniques are still used to this very day in the modern day hair salon or home and the reliance on his invention has become second nature to most people. The most common straightener today would be the ceramic ones with the heating elements. The technology remains the same, however has become more sophisticated. The ceramic ones became the chosen type for many for a number of reasons which include the fact that they are less damaging to the hair to use and the ceramic heating elements heat up quickly. http://www.nicewatchessell.com £¡£¡£¡£¡It was proven by the early models that using straighteners can be damaging for the hair if not used correctly or too much, this still applies today and the chances of getting split ends, or brittle and broken hair is increased. Unlike in the early days though there has been advancement in many of the hair tools to prevent this from happening. Products such heat protection sprays and creams will reduce the amount of damage caused by excessive use.
