When the left wants to demonize the Tea Parties, they characterize them as being made up of peculiarly right-wing nutjobs. But when some violent nut shares one or two ideas with the Tea Parties, among a bunch of leftist claptrap, the Tea Parties become nonideological "populist" events. As Goldberg explained, when a historical leftist sins, his sin is America's collective sin. When a historical rightist sins, it's the right's sin alone. That's what's happening here. Incidentally, I saw a leftist try to make the opposite argument today, i.e., the Tea Parties claim to be ideologically diverse, but when someone who shares some ideas with the Tea Parties does something violent, the Tea Parties become strictly right-wing. It's nonsense of course. The Tea Parties are ideologically diverse, BUT they have some basic principles that are non-negotiable, and this nutjob didn't share them.

The poll shows that only 25% of respondents want 0bamaCare to be passed. But the headline is "CNN Poll: Health Care Provisions Popular But Overall Bills Unpopular." And the majority of the article is dedicated to explaining just how wildly popular some of the provisions of 0bamaCare are. This is obviously an attempt by CNN to say to the voters - "Hey, dummies, you should really start supporting this 0bamaCare bill, because you like what's in it."

And while they mention the popular provisions, they don't mention many of the unpopular parts, like higher health insurance premiums, Medicare being gutted, tax increases, benefits being delayed several years, bigger government, bigger deficits, more spending, more debt, and the assorted bribes and kickbacks that were required to get it passed in the Senate.
