— Gabriel Malor Whoa! That report from the Medicare actuaries released last week that concluded ObamaCare would raise premiums? The Obama Administration had it a week before the final vote...and sat on it:
The economic report released last week by Health and Human Services, which indicated that President Barack Obama's health care "reform" law would actually increase the cost of health care and impose higher costs on consumers, had been submitted to the office of HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius more than a week before the Congressional votes on the bill, according to career HHS sources, who added that Sebelius's staff refused to review the document before the vote was taken."The reason we were given was that they did not want to influence the vote," says an HHS source. "Which is actually the point of having a review like this, you would think."
Apparently, copies of the report were sent to Sebelius and to the White House.
So in addition to midnight votes and bribes to reluctant Congressmen, the Obama folks sat on government reports, reports that the taxpayers paid for, which would have shined a light on the President's healthcare reform lies. And that's what they were. He can't plead ignorance. His own actuaries were telling him it would raise premiums while he was going on TV and saying the opposite.

Making legislation is like making a tasty sausage. You put skin and blood and insects and rat feces into a filthy pig's rectum and twist it up real nice and tight, and the next thing you know, you have a wonderful bag of biohazard that requires a special EPA license to dispose of it.

This is pure madness. The congress should vote based on any and all influences like this. voter outrage, studies, opinions, and serious flaws found in analysis.
I hope some democrats are smart enough to run against Obama. Those who voted for this mess based on lies (obvious lies, but still) can claim they wouldn't have done so if this hadn't been covered up.
This is what the left accused Bush of doing with Iraq: of knowing the truth and covering it up before the AUMF.

Except the report suggests it was passed on and read, but just sat on because people were afraid to come clean.
If true, and this is no hyperbole here, this may be the most damning bit of evidence against this administration yet. This is legitimately, an impeachable offense.

But since both parties work towards the same goal (larger, more powerful, more centrally controlled government), we're basically fucked.

A. We used to like Fox's Juan Williams. But the guy has gotten to be a jerk. He now defends Obama's behavior, now matter how sleazy Obama gets.
B. How did bow-tie boy, Tucker Carlsen, get a job on Fox as a fill-in moderator for talk show hosts like Sean Hannity? He is a wussy. He has no control over guests. He has screwy perspectives. He can't articulate his positions, Democrats talk over him, spouting their talking points without any interruptions from a flailing and inept bow-tie boy, who makes dufus points himself. Ever since he was on CNN, he has always been a putz, kind of like Fred Barnes, but worse.
C. Last night on Hannity, Bob Beckel remarked that he used to date a girl, who was in the radical Weather Underground, downplaying the significance of his admission, and trivializing those radicals, and even scoffing at the idea that they were terrorists or radicals. I'm incredulous nearly everytime that I hear Democrats. They're not even rational.

Quit apologizing, America. You need not respect a man who has unearned it. You need not temper the words and lower the bar of expectations because of some unwritten PC rule. Obama is a man and nothing more. Turns out he's not much of one either. But he's a fantastic fraud, so give him his due - proudly and unabashedly.

Unbelievable, it gets more unbelievable every day with this crew.
killthehippies makes a good point about the real story being the legacy media's anticipated spike of this lie. Obama has no compunction about lying because he knows he can count on the media to protect him, which is an amazing thing if you think about it.
But it is also important because Obama argued, near the end when this was all coming to a head, that the Obamacare plan was financially sound, would not increase premiums. Due to his and the media's dishonesty, he was able to take potentially fatal flaws in his plan (if the public was aware of the facts), and spin them as strengths of the plan. And it worked.
Someday there will be a saner world where people will look back and shake their heads unbelievingly at all this. Or there will be a world where 2 +2 = 5.

Obama didn't lie. He said premiums would go down 3000%. (video is out there, if you google on "Obama 3000%"). A new word is needed. The word "lie" just doesn't cover it.

But this is a big fucking deal, if it can be proven Obama was lying to the public while he had his own report suppressed.
He has of course lied a lot, and must have known this bill would raise costs without the report. But to bury his own strong evidence, and then to contradict it publicly right before the vote, should be hard for him to dance away from.

Can i point out that CNN dot com has had no less than 5 polls on the arizona immigration issue in the past few days.
Why do i bring this up. Well they essentially change the wording a little bit so they can put up a new poll, as the poll results always end up supporting the bill, which clearly cnn doesn't lilke.
As evidenced by their non stop coverage of this issue. Sure it needs to be covered, but on every show? and would it kill one of the anchors to read the bill. all of their questions start off like this, "This bill seems to...." Well if you actually read it you could say for certain. Or you might notice that parts of it are a word for word copy of federal immigration law.

Yes, this is damning evidence against this administration, but how many other pieces of "damning evidence" are there? Nobody is going to do squat about this. There is a big difference between should, could, and will.
Besides, you bring this up for public discussion. and the kool aide drinkers immediately start yammering about it being from "faux news" -- which isn't so much a fact based response to you, but an attempt to discredit for the audience's sake (and some of the audience will buy along with it -- because everyone knows that "faux news" is a nazi corporation in league with the evil booosh...the kool aide drinkers did their part admirably this past decade).

#138 Shooter, thanks for reminding everyone that the Bush adminstration did almost exactly the same thing to cram Medicare prescription coverage down our throats. And the House, under that useless fat pig Hastert, engaged in a very Pelosi-like trashing of procedure by keeping the vote open long after time had expired so that W could twist arms to pass that piece of crap.
Don't get me wrong. I have absolutely no regard for the Obama/Pelosi/Reid axis and consider the Obama administration to be the most mendacious and lawless in our history. And that's after just 15 months. In fact, Obama makes Clinton look like an honest man. But this incident just reminds me why I consider myself a conservative and will never consider myself a Republican - even if I vote almost exclusively for Republican candidates. I'm glad that there are people within the party fighting the good fight. But I can't bring myself to do more than vote in the primaries and contribute to select candidates (and never to the party or the committees).

Oh, and this week in Illinois, home of corruption, Obama will be appearing in Quincy with the current democrat candidate for Obama's former US senate seat, one Alexi Giannoulis (D-current Illinois Treasurer, yes there are no decent ethical standards in Illinois).
Whose family's (allegedly) mobbed up Broadway Bank in Chicago was just taken over by the feds last Friday, and will end up costing US taxpayers hundreds of millions of tax dollars.

And that did not work out for her very well. Meanwhile, Alice and the gang kept living it up. Now, Enos did a little better leaving Hazard County and moving to L.A.

194 Hmm isn't this exactly what Bush was accused of doing with respect to Medicare Part D?
The difference is that Bush was publicly accused. Obama will never even be accused as far as most people are concerned - they will never hear a peep about it.

The irony of President Barack Obama visiting Beckley, West Virginia, Sunday to read a eulogy at the memorial service for those who died in the Upper Big Branch Mine accident, has not been lost on some White House aides. "If we had our way we'd be mourning the mining industry, not miners," says a White House aide. "As an environmental issue, we want the majority of these mining related industries just to go away."
They're still looking to "bankrupt the coal industry" ... "as an environmental issue". These people ought to be forced to stop using energy and to live in the dark that they are trying to bring to the rest of the civilized world.
Just one more thing for the neo-Pravda media to ignore. Ignoring real news and making up fake news are the only jobs they perform. This neo-Pravda puts the old Soviet Pravda to shame with their enthusiasm and unrestrained propaganda. At least the Soviet Pravda had the excuse that the state was forcing them. The neo-Pravda do it of their own America-hating, criminal volition.

It surprises me every day I walk past our local NBC affiliate that there are not throngs of tea partiers protesting en masse. Nope. Just biz a usual. Not a peep.
This is the real danger in our society today. We should have a 24/7 protest against these treasonous bastards. They should be afraid. Very Afraid.

I suggest:
Cancel your cable for a month campaign
Cancel all of your newspaper subscriptions for a month campaign (obviously happening now without a campaign)
Start making executives at the major networks, cable companies, and print news media get a little squirmy about losing revenue because Americans are shutting it off.
We have to start thinking outside of the box with creative ideas to get these sinister fuckers off of their elite asses and back to hardcore journalism.

progressiveoverpeace,
Your right. Obama is going to use this mining incident to make safety rules that will greatly increase the cost of coal. It's the only reason why he is making a big deal about it. Its a back door way of increasing costs to reduce consumption or eliminate actual mining.

Those miner's got what was coming to them.
Dressing up, all in Blackface, every single day. God has cast judgement on them! ...and where are my beautiful Sisters in this Coal Mining Operation?
I haven't seen one. The White Man is keeping us out of the Coal Minin' racket!
...and although Barack isn't really a black man, he's as close as we'll get. So I suport his efforts to Bankrupt Big 'White' Coal. Return the Coal to its' rightful owners. My Native American Brothers!
We're all people of Color. Even Barack.
Everybody say-
"Hell no, 'White Coal' Must Go!"
"Hell no, 'White Coal' Must Go!"
