— Ace Actually, it's his response to a Bush SOTU, but do enjoy the symphony-like irony.

Off topic and maybe someone has already pointed this out, but Shuster is interviewing Breibart at 3pm.
Also, he got the smackdown from MSNBC for his O'Keefe tweets.

Regarding the symphony: Upon reading that surreal piece again, I entertain the notion (meaning: likelyhood somewhat greater than zero) that we've been punk'd by the Rara Avis.
Which would be uncharacteristically subtle and witty of him.

Thinking about the passing of Salinger kind of triggered some literary memories and what I focused in on was the phrase from Tale of Two Cities - It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... Bush's presidency was kind of like that - good economy, escalation of the war on terror. Obama's unfortunately isn't like that. It's just the worst of times.
Bush could have spent his whole presidency blaming Clinton for his lack of initiative in pursuing the war on terror. He didn't.
Kind of revealing.

he probably does MO doggie style so he can look at himself in the mirror while doing it. (not that I would want to look at her either, or touch her for that matter... )

But gays can't serve in the military! Even though there are thousands of gays currently enlisted in the military... they just can't flaunt that they're gay in their Commander's face, except for when they do because they want to get out of serving.

I'm so pissed I'm missing this interview.
You just know that Grand Canyon Shuster calls a mouth is trying to shout down Breibart--who will just smile and politely tell him in a manner of speaking to sod off.

"I guess I saw a different speech than everyone else. I thought it was pretty good.." delivered in a blue collar, every-man schtick.
Why they have this guy on at drive time instead of Hannity or Fred astounds me.

#2 is his video for Dan Deacon's viral monologue "Drinking Out of Cups."
Nice career.

No, the ban on gays in military was enacted by Congress to keep Sick Willie from further meddling with the issue. At that time Dems in Congress had sense enough to realize how radioactive Klinton was making himself over the issue.

Those damn Republicans!
WASHINGTON – Just days after President Barack Obama endorsed a partial freeze on domestic spending, his Democratic allies in the Senate have rejected a plan attempting to do pretty much the same thing.
Old-school Democrats were the driving force in killing the bipartisan legislation, sponsored by Alabama Republican Jeff Sessions and Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill.

Tom Coburn still kicking some moderated ass:
"This Senate did unanimously approve a Coburn amendment directing the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to annually identify federal programs, agencies, offices, and initiatives with duplicative goals and activities and make recommendations for consolidation and elimination of such duplication."
and from the WSJ last week:
"A few examples [of duplicative programs]: A 2009 Government Accountability Office report found 69 early education programs, administered by nine different agencies. A 2003 GAO report found 44 job training programs, also administered by nine agencies. The Department of Education runs 14 separate programs for foreign study exchanges. Taxpayers spend more than $300 million annually on at least nine Agriculture Department programs to develop biofuels. Too bad we can't pay for all this with wood chips."

You're right. And it is so sad that the strengthening democracies in Central and South America are the ones that Barry, Hillary et.al are marginalizing. Barry's buddies like Hugo, are mooning him and laughing at him. Of course Barry knows that it's just because he hasn't explained it to them adequately.
What a jackass he is.

14 separate programs for foreign study exchanges
What is the possible point of this? Why would we pay for anyone to partisipate in foreign study unless we are immersing them in arabic so we can intercept their messages?

I feel sorry for his kids, Americans are never going to forget this disaster, and their credibility will be mud!

"It was a spit shined, varnished, grafitti painted PIECE OF SHIT!"
And you can quote me!

Posted by: dagnyI understand having a program or two, but 14 is more than necessary. Plus we'll need a lot more than just Arabic if we're going to keep our No. 1 status.

The libs hate the policy since it doesn't allow gays to flaunt their homosexuality to the detriment of the military. And you know how they love to prevent the military from being effective.
That said I do fully expect Obam to do it. The thing is he won't do it until he's on his way out. This way he gets the credit for ending DADT without suffering any of the potential fallout to the military it causes. For instance lower recruiting numbers or lower re-enlistment totals.

Heh! Jonah Goldberg's response to the SOTU is awesome:
"In fairness, the president took a French-bath of Clintonism before he took to his beloved TelePrompTer. He doused himself with the scent of the deficit-fighter and trade-promoter. He unveiled a slew of small, easy, applause-gathering proposals and populist appeals that he knows will go nowhere.
He also indulged in a lot of feel-your-pain pathos, trying to connect with the real Americans suffering from the recession and the misdeeds of a "Washington" that Obama seems to think is run by someone other than him.
But the eau-de-Clinton couldn't mask the stench -- and Obama, in his supreme arrogance, didn't really seem to care."

Heh! Jonah Goldberg's response to the SOTU is awesome:
That's a great quote. I watched in amazement as he lied, after lied, after lied, noting his absolute arrogance. He was like a teenager, daring the adults, but knowing full well that he could speak with impunity. I could almost hear his underlying shouts, "Freedom! I have it and you don't!"
