— Ace I say "boosts Rubio" because were the weaker (white) Democrat to win the primary, black voters would move massively to Charlie Crist, who apparently is somewhat popular with them.
Ergo, it's in Rubio's strong interest that Meek should win the nomination, and Obama came through for him.
The White House on Wednesday stressed that President Obama has fully embraced Florida Senate candidate Kendrick Meek, and when the president got off Air Force One in Miami, he gave Meek a hug.Obama is headlining a fundraising event for the Florida Democratic Party, an event that also features Meek as a speaker.
It will be the first time Obama has appeared jointly with Meek this cycle, in which the congressman faces a tough August 24th primary against self-funded billionaire Jeff Greene.
Still a tough race for Rubio, but it helps to have Obama pulling for him like this.

oh no. Glenn Beck is commiting career suicide right now on live tv. I knew it wouldn't be good when he started his show by stating that he's about to prove that a civilization greater than Rome existed in North America before Columbus. OH NO
He's actually bringing up the well known hoax of Egyptians and Jews being the ancestors of Native Americans. oh my
I'm waiting for him to bring up Joseph Smiths 'translation' of egyptian artifacts telling of the Jews journey to America. FACEPALM
I just lost alot of respect for Beck

"The White House on Wednesday stressed that President Obama has fully embraced Florida Senate candidate Kendrick Meek, and when the president got off Air Force One in Miami, he gave Meek a hug."
Which will not preclude him from endorsing Crist tomorrow. "Let me be clear: I did not say I endorsed Kendrick Meek. I said I fully 'embraced him,' and anyone who saw us on the tarmac in Miami saw for himself that this is true. But I did not, and will not, make any statement on the wisdom of voting for him."

Obama "Fully Embraces" Meeks, Boosts Rubio
...and when the president got off Air Force One in Miami, he gave Meek a hug.
Later, Obama made it clear he was a Meeks supporter when he picked Meeks up off the ground and carried him around for the rest of the afternoon.

--It's funny reading this when you bear in mind that in Australia "pulling for (someone)" means "masturbating to (someone)."

Obama demonstrated his commitment to the Senate candidate by cleaning Meeks' entire head with his tongue.

Let me see if I have this correct. A liberal/progressive that loves big government and all the benefits of living in the ruling class, deplanes in Miami to be met by another black liberal/progressive who hearts big government. All this smack mouth in the middle of Calle Ocho populated by Cuban's that hate big government and liberalism. Yea, that the ticket.

I think Ostumble is thinking ahead to 2012. He will need a strong AA turnout if he has any hope of winning.
His support will be much more tepid if the Tan Man has a shot at winning in Oct.

oh dear, did Beck let his inner Mormon sneak out of the box?
It's not career suicide though, it just reminds people he's a mormon. They all believe that.
Probably doesn't do a lot for Mitt Romney's chances, though.

He's a Republican. No lead is safe with those guys.

Obama's support for Meek is mostly "going through the motions." There's a good chance Meek can lose the primary to Greene, making Obama's offer moot. The Democratic Party is going to be in a huge dilemma of either backing a candidate polling in the 16-18 percentile or else throwing their weight behind the Independent candidate Crist who would at least assure a win against Rubio. Do not kid yourselves. Rubio and the Far Right made enough noise against Crist's moderate creds during the early half of this year to where the GOP won't be able to convince the moderate/centrist voters necessary to win in Florida to vote for Rubio. Also, Crist's veto of the anti-tenure bill was more popular in this state than the Far Right would like to admit.

He sold out b4 he soldout. There is no such thing as a "moderate". You are either a big gov tax and spend liberal commie or you are a small gov conservative.
So go find your box.

Lots of Crist love in the comments. If he keeps this up, I'm thinking he pulls more votes from Meeks than from Rubio.

Rubio hasn't spent $1 on campaign ads yet.... Why should he? The upcoming election is a PRIMARY and he's a sure bet there.
AFTER THAT, the many, MANY self-made campaign ads against Crist should start to flow and support for Crist will drop to racist Democrats that won't support Meeks, a few insider Republicans that would never support a conservative and some un-informed independents.
There's just too much video of Crist lying, beginning with the Fox New Sunday debate up through the "thank God I'm not a Republican" remark recently.
Rubio will win in November by a wide margin.
