New York and San Francisco have the same disease.  San Francisco used to be called "The City That Knows How."  That was before it became a People's Republic, and now it can't even keep human waste off its sidewalks.  It's been over 20 years since the Loma Prieta earthquake made it clear that the Bay Bridge was seismically unsafe, yet it will be several more years before the replacement section is completed.

Same deal with the Freedom Tower: in an earlier, saner time, it would have been done within a few years of 9/11, a huge middle finger extended to the Islamofascists.  But now we will see a mosque raised at Ground Zero before any replacement for the WTC.
