— Gabriel Malor He will therefore delay his trip to Asia from March 18 to March 21. Inconveniencing foreign leaders is not as important as his failing legacy. He's going to contribute his "personal touch" to the next critical week.

Jim Geraghty has a good point: if Pelosi has the votes, as she insists, then why would the President need to delay anything?

Health care brings lots of talk about Congress "ignoring the will of the people." We have to be careful here-- being the "will of the people" doesn't always make something good.
Majorities polled always want "free" stuff of some kind or another from the government. Is that good? How about the other way around-- does the fact that majorities don't want something make it bad? Like Social Security privatization, flat tax, abolishing minimum wage, etc? I think these things would be great but "the people" say otherwise.

I believe the punative energy taxes paid by people who aren't on public assistance contribute to the direct-deposit-cash (no guarantees they will use it for energy, especially when state laws prohibit gas/heat/electricity from being cut off 6-8 months of the year) for people who are on public assistance, but I don't have a link handy.

My thoughts tell me that a big part of him really believes his own rhetoric...not just the sleazy lies he knows he's telling the American people to get them to buy into this rag. He continually surrounds himself with his ass-kissing worshipers, and stacks his audiences with wildly cheering SEIU members and other assorted useful idiots. Hence the 'closed to the public' speech he gave in Missouri a day or so ago. Only his fans are allowed to participate. I would imagine, for someone as mentally unstable as I see him to be, when they are continually stroked with endless adulation, they truly come to believe their own hype. It pours gasoline on the fire in stoking his own image of himself. To him and those surrounding him, we don't really exist or are inconsequential.

I have a question-a serious question. Please answer.
Is there any way to verify that Sen. Bird is alive. Supposedly he voted recently to pass the bill by reconciliation, when he clearly stated previously that he was against reconciliation being used in this case. It seems odd. Are there any laws about verifying votes cast by absentee members? Or their mental abilities?
Also, I read on a different blog-dancingczars.wordpress that Fox is now banned from saying anything negative about Sharia Law. Is that true?
Thanks

Sure as long as Deputy Dawg drops out because of a teenage gay lover coming forward.
If we can steer the HTTM to 1986, I'd gladly offer myself up as a nubile young congressional page to the new Senator from Arizona. Well, not gladly, but I'd face forward and think of Romney.

What if March 21 rolls around and no bill passed?
Then the talking points are rolled out.
Insurance co's , big pharma that O was striking deals with, the Party of No, and Nazi 'baggers are the reason that little Brittni Backwoods Hilljack and Laqueta Precious Crackbaby can't get a checkup.

Sounds like crap to me, but then Saudi Arabia does provide some financial backing to them.

Everyday I am amazed at what he does and what he tries to do. IN a sane world he would have been impeached after 3 months.

I've given up trying to find a rational explanation for him; I think he's doing Ayers' bidding by pissing off enough people to start a civil war posing as a Constitutional crisis. Billy Bombthrower had visions of it being a race war but, well, Ayers isn't very fucking smart.

Statement from Utah House Representative Kevin Garn --- Delivered from the floor of the House on March 11, 2010
"Twenty five years ago I made a mistake that has now come back to haunt me. I was 28-yrs old and I foolishly went hot-tubbing with a young woman nearly half my age. Although we did not have any sexual contact, it was still clearly inappropriate -- and it was my fault.
One of the consequences of that decision was the negative impact it had on this young person's life. Years later, when I was running for Congress, she decided to bring this incident to the attention of the media. Shortly thereafter, my wife and I met with her, and at her demand, I paid her $150,000. While this payment felt like extortion, I also felt like I should take her word that the money would help her heal. She agreed to keep this 25-year-old incident confidential. Now that this issue is coming up again, it is apparent to me that this payment was also a mistake.

Again, let me assure you that that was a pee pee boner and not a sexual boner. I had way too many bottled waters and I had to go number one really bad. Make no mistake and let me be perfectly clear, not a sexual woody.

Short of Barak murdering Michelle or (better) Rahm in the Oval Office, there's no way a black pres. would ever be impeached.
Can you imagine how much we would hear of a "high tech lynching" if we tried?

The rumor started after Krauthammer, Kristol and Beck all trashed Geert Wilders of the Netherlands. When supposedly smart guys screw up the FACTS as badly as all three did, that's a sign of "something" going on.
