— Gabriel Malor After the carefully crafted optics of Obama bowing to certain foreign leaders, I can't believe that this was an accident:

I get the impression that Obama and his crew think these sorts of pictures make him look good. HeÂ’s sticking it to the man, or something. The look on HarperÂ’s face, I canÂ’t read. HeÂ’s either cowed or repressing his own anger. He appears to be looking directly at ObamaÂ’s finger. He is making a fist. Anyone want to supply a caption?
I miss the swaggering cowboy. He may have been tongue-tied; he may have screwed up with an errant backrub, but he didn’t bow to royalty, he didn’t give embarrassing gifts to allies, he didn’t show the Dalai Lama the back door. He never said to a visiting ally (paraphrased) “I’m gonna go have dinner with Laura, and if you decide to obey me, I’ll be around.”
He didnÂ’t shove his finger in the face of another countryÂ’s prime minister.
Yup.
I don't think President Obama set out to be rude to Prime Minister Harper. It's just that he couldn't be bothered to be polite and it didn't occur to him that Harper, the leader of a close U.S. ally, is someone he should be polite to.

This is why I am concerned about the 2012 election. The media is so invested in this guy. I remember during 2008, we were told by them, the world would love us and we would get much more out of europe and other nations. Now that the exact opposite is true, the media is blaming the Foreign Leaders for the setbacks. It couldn't possibly be Obama's fault. No siree.
I remember thinking the media was biased in the 2004 election cycle, then came 2008 when it was clear they were 100 percent in the tank. I think 2012 will be the year they completely become an arm of the Democratic party, and don't even pretend to hide it or be ashamed by it.

We're also taught that it's impolite to:
--insult another person while they're in the room (inauguration, SoTU)
--return meaningful gifts in a rude fashion (Churchill bust)
--interrupt another person while they're speaking (too often to count)
And so on. Obama's campaign, with the help of the press, created an image of him as a sophisticated, world-wise gentleman. But he's exactly the opposite - our president is a boor, an immature lout. And the more time he spends in front of the cameras, the more his true nature will reveal itself.

NYT: If there is an Obama doctrine emerging, it is one much more realpolitik than his predecessorÂ’s, focused on relations with traditional great powers and relegating issues like human rights and democracy to second-tier concerns. He has generated much more good will around the world after years of tension with Mr. Bush, and yet he does not seem to have strong personal friendships with many world leaders.

My understanding is that the WH vets most photos in this new opaque style of transparency. I read somewhere that pool photographers are pissed since they are not allowed to, you know photograph as Barry has his own glamor photographers attending most events and the press office picks which ones to release.
So even if he is not dressing him down the WH press office felt it was a good idea to release a photo having it appear that he was. And surely the photo will travel north and Harper will feel dressed down anyway.

The first tiers are personal liberty, the national interest, and security of the individual from foreign and domestic threats.

Canada has lost more soldiers per capita than any other country. We've been fighting in Afghanistan (and right in the fray as opposed to all those pussy Eurowiennies hiding in the safe parts) the whole time while the US was in Iraq. Harper has done more for the military than any other Canadian PM in a very long while. The former Liberals gutted the military and sent us to A-stan in green camo as we didn't even own desert camo, all the while having to flip up a thumb to hike a ride over there. The reality is that Harper is head of a MINORITY government with the other 4 parties left to hard left. There is no way in hell he can get them to vote for an another extension of the mission even if he could win over the people which have been brainwashed and dumbed down by the left MSM. Obama isn't fit to lick the dirt off of Harper's shoes. This Canadian and practically most others in rural Western Canadian would never have voted for this idiot for President.

It was relayed to me by one of my African American associates that CNN had watered down it's content substantially to gain ratings back from Fox. I hadn't read that anywhere so am relieved that their heads remain firmly ensconced in their nether regions. That is a network that deserves to die. On another front, I continue to proselytize my AA friend since a more conservative individual one will never meet. She's a born Republican and knows it's true. It is amazing, however, the degree to which the press has convinced them that white conservatives are racist.
While Commie Canucks have long trailed Zimbabwe on my favorite countries list, the fact is they are our largest trading partner and Harper's a conservative. The world ruled by Obama and the gang of "Highly Educated Whites' would be so kweel.
When you pay $300,000 for an Ivy-Inbred degree there must be something to show for all that money.

Barack (and Michelle) are country bumpkins, lacking any social graces, which makes their pretentiousness only that much more exasperating, for they just make fools of themselves in front of the whole world. There is nothing genuine or authentic about those two clods. The world's leaders are smiling at them patronizingly, and snickering about those two phonies behind their backs.
And they said that Andrew Jackson was rude and crude? Compared to the Obamas, the Jacksons were suave, sophisticated and well mannered upper crust gentry, and they were never pretentious. They were comfortable with being a couple of hicks, for which they deserve respect and admiration.
(Never mind that Andrew Jackson had leadership skills and he was qualified to be POTUS, which Barack Obama is sorely lacking, also, which is why, of course, he compensates by being pretentious. What an empty suit. The guy is a disaster. What the hell were those 52%ers thinking?)
To have lost to that clod, of all people, McCain must feel like such a loser and such a fuck-up, and an embarrassment to himself.

"Hey Harper, check out the wall down there...looks like I'm aimin' some big battleship guns, or maybe like some hotdogs on the grill...man, I'm hungry! Where's the buffet?"
