ObamaCare Target List
— Gabriel Malor

If you intended to pick up a telephone, send a fax, an email, or a letter (although a letter is too slow to matter), here are my suggestions for Dems leaning toward voting against the healthcare bill. They are "maybes" who have not publicly declared, but who may need a gentle nudge from their constituents.

3 What about Michael McMahon, Super Genius Moderate?  He advertises himself as such, and this would provide fuel for the claim for his entire career:

7 The Tennessee "Blue Dogs" have decided to all go down together. They will not respond to phone calls or e-mails. May they rot in hell.

10 Call your governors also, tell them to publicly affirm the 10th amendment, and to call the states reps and tell them to vote no.

Posted by: Rebar at March 19, 2010 06:04 AM (Or4Gk)

11 Pence on Beck just now said that he thought that the people of PA, Indiana and OH need to get on their representative cause they are the ones that would be responsible for this passing.  If you think about where the prez has been traveling,  Pence seems to be correct.

Interesting, prez going to George Mason university.  Isn't that in Virginia?  Isn't the governor of Virginia one of the Governors working on legislation like the Idaho legislation?

Organizing for America sent out a letter last night asking people to call their democratic representative and remind him "who they are fighting for" and individually listed your representative.  The email gave my friends the creeps as no one asked them for their addresses when they signed up so they want to know how they got their representatives name correct.

Patterson?

Ravitch? (second banana)

Eliot Spitzer? (power behind the throne)

Posted by: curious at March 19, 2010 06:18 AM (p302b)

14 Where do the country's governors stand on this?  Awhile ago, I thought I had ramblings that Obamacare would create havoc on their budgets.  With so many states in fiscal trouble already, how will this affect them?  And why aren't we hearing from them?

Posted by: dnb at March 19, 2010 06:21 AM (/4bpO)

15 I've faxed 'em all. Now I'll call.

Posted by: arhooley at March 19, 2010 06:25 AM (LGC1a)

16 Paris Paramus: Considering how the administration and the Democrat machine has fucked Paterson, it might be worth a shot contacting his office. He might just affirm the 10th amendment as sweet vengeance. You never know. Worth a shot. I live in the Village as an aside.

17 15 I need to remind you that our prison system does not allow direct calls into holding facilities to speak to inmates.

Ours does. In fact, you wouldn't believe the kind of shit we allow.

Posted by: Louisiana at March 19, 2010 06:30 AM (F5Gxy)

19 By the way, here's a thought. What if all the undecideds and maybes just voted PRESENT??? Now THAT would be so absolutely fucking karmic!!!

20 Boccieri is announcing his "yes" vote at a press conference this morning.

21 On Bishop's site he is talking about "our bill" in his health care quiz.

And of course, every asshole here in Illinois is sucking Dear Leader's pipe, and are as entrenched as the crabs on a West Side whore.

Shit...

23 He's telling all the gimme-gang Reps that if his presidency tanks on healthcare, he won't be able to give them amnesty/greenie goodness/card check/whatever.

We've got to tank him on healthcare.

24 Busy signal at Boccieri's local office.

25 Is Bobby Rush D-IL,Criminal still fence sitting (waiting for a bribe)? I do not want to give a Black Panther my contact info, I don't even want to show up on his office's caller ID, maybe the Gov will help out...oh wait, this is Illinois.... As if Illinois can afford this bill, we can't even pay our teachers. Brady should go after Quinn on this, call him out in asking our so called reps to vote no "for the children" at least my rep is voting no

Posted by: d-People's Republic of Illinois at March 19, 2010 06:44 AM (uTknY)

26 Bishop's office just said he hasn't decided how he is voting on the bill.

28 I just tried faxing them all. Got thru to Shuler, the rest were busy signals, will keep trying.  I'd fax my own rep but that's a waste of time.  Cleaver would jump off a cliff if Obama asked him to.

30 Boccieri is on Fox now - with human shields who all suffer cause of the lack of coverage....he want to vote yes to make his momma proud. DAMN

31 I think you can't just call the undecideds you have to call your own representatives.  Everyone said my representative is a solid democratic vote, not to bother.  I called anyway.  The girl proudly said that he was voting yes on the vote.  I then said well we would like him to vote no.  I then reminded her about some of the fascinating political stuff going on in my state.  While we were on the phone, she looked us up.  I think I was the first constituent to call to ask him to vote no.  When I talked about the recent surprising democratic losses and how I would campaign tirelessly for his opponent and raise money for his opponent she made an audible gasp.

This phone call made me realize that they all have to be called.  All of them, even the republicans to make sure they stay on the straight and narrow.

Wrote Shuler.  Told him I was going to tell Lawrence Taylor that he had a whole stash of Slice of Jesus crack in his underwear if he voted for the bill.

I also bought up the constitution and the founders and the courts.

These guys have to realize that there are people who want them to vote no in their solidly blue, solidly democratic districts.  It's good for the soul to know there is decent.

Got through to my Congressman, Teague.  Staff wouldn't say what he was going to do.  He's a likely one-termer anyway, hopely he doesn't decide to kamikaze.

Posted by: Emperor of Icecream at March 19, 2010 07:22 AM (epBek)

35 If you e-mail John Barrow and live outside his district, your e-mail is declined.  I've called the local office.  He's swishy and I think could vote yes.  Plus, while Jack Kingston, my rep, was hosting at least two big town halls here, Barrow was mostly silent and hard to reach.  A Republican friend of ours will be running against him in the next election.  The nail in Barrow's coffin will be a "yes" vote.

36 Called and emailed most of 'em, still getting a busy signal on a couple.

Posted by: willy at March 19, 2010 08:23 AM (8dVfR)

37 Why not suggest that they follow WWOD (What Would Obama Do)?  Faced with a thorny political bill, he would have voted "present".  They should do the same.

You can strike this one off your list, he caved and is voting Yes

John Boccieri (OH-16)

39 If you dial *67 before you punch in the phone numbers it will block your number and the people cant see your AREA CODE on their caller ID.  They wont answer the phone if they see you are from OUT OF THEIR AREA.

Some even block phones with non resident area codes and if you block your phone.   So, on some there may be no way to get there if you are not from their area.

I always at least try the *67 thingy first.
