— Ace Everything they said was a lie; everything we said was pretty much true.
Thus, ObamaCare offers not much of a clear benefit to either party.
I promise if you like your coverage you can keep your coverage; that said, you can't keep your coverage.

By Obama's estimates, as many as 69 percent of employees, 80 percent of small businesses, and 64 percent of large businesses will be forced to change coverage, probably to more expensive plans.
If you like your health care plan, you can blow me. I mean keep it. But first you will blow me.

Well at least he can say he saved and/or created jobs at the GPO with a straight face.

If this article could be put in the hands of every American who has health coverage today, Democrats would hang two to a lamppost.
Figuratively speaking, of course.

No, there was an actual rider in the bill that required that the pens used to sign it would have to be developed by NASA (with 25% of the engineering input from Muslims), at a cost of no less than $4 million dollars, with an additional $2 million dollars going to the SEIU. The pens had to be delivered by a 'special' Chevy Volt convoy consisting of at least 2,500 vehicles accompanied by a police escort of 500 more Chevy Volts.
Goddamn these fuckers.

The ones in Washington are too insulated from the commoners.
Since the frontrunners for 2012 are Romney, Huckabee, and Gingrich, it isn't a given Obama would lose. Those 3 are as clueless as the rest.

Today is the first day that a one of the "unintended consequences" of Obamacare rolled out. Insurance companies have dropped plans of "child only" coverage because they didn't want to have to deal with the regulation being foisted upon them by Obamacare.
Thank you Obama! We loooove you!

Yeah, I got my company's plans in the mail yesterday. We get the option of 3 plans from one company this year, and we're stuck with one plan in 2012.
November can't come soon enough, and I'm gonna primary any Republican who doesn't vote for repeal in 2012.

The only question that remains, if this is true, is how many waves in the tsunami? We need a series of sea-change elections. And after this one, the subsequent waves will claim many currently entrenched "republicans" if things go as they should.
If not, this election will just be a short pause in our head-long dive into the abyss.

Yet another thing dim congress critters were shocked to find out was in the bill.
When a bill was introduced to repeal that particular part, odumbass sent word to the leadership that he didn't want that part taken out, because he didn't want to set a precedent of repealing any part of the bill.
Another reason people hate that pos bill.

Let's do a thought experiment.
(I know all the Morons/Moronettes here know the answer because you have a keen grasp of the obvious. But let's just say an Axelrod troll comes by or Fapdragon or something)
You are in the buisness of selling apples. You make money by buying apples from the grower and then selling the apples to people for more than you paid for them (i.e. you can profit). The government tells you to sell apples for a lower price than you can profit from.
In response to the government's demand you:
A) Sell apples until you are out of money and go out of business.
B) Go out of business.
Note that regardless of whether you choose A or B, the end result is that you stop selling apples. Also, as you go out of business, community activists and politicians will curse you for being a greedy apple-hoarder who cares nothing for the children who can now no longer get apples.
It's a trivial and simple example but that's what Obamacare does to insurance. It's already happening. This is affecting peoples lives on a massive scale. This poison has been forced on us and it's just now hitting home. People suspected what would happen but now the devil has come to collect.
(The Democrats will be lucky if getting voted out of office is all that happens to them...)

All the time that Pelosi and the Dems were calling the Town Halls "astroturf" and "UnAmerican" last summer, I thought they knew the town halls, Tea Party protests, 9/12 on the mall, etc were actually real grassroots efforts, and that they were just trying to convince their base not to take all that "astroturf" seriously.
But now I think they must've really believed that. It looks like it's just now starting to dawn on them what's actually been happening.
And they have completely backed themselves into a corner. They can't reach out and try to win over the Tea Party (by attempting to say the right things) because they've done nothing but demonize them for over a year, which has only motivated them more. They can't try to blame the Repubs for any part of Obamacare because it was strictly a party-line vote (there's a reason for seeking compromise and bipartisanship). They can't even talk about "improving" Obamacare because of all the vast lies they told about it to sell it to their own Dems.
This Obamacare debacle will go down in the books as textbook what not to do. There's simply no way to spin it or to fix it (from the Dem standpoint). But the best part of it all is the crystal clear lesson the politicians of both parties will learn: listen to the people, or else.

Wrong. Note the key point above: The government tells you to sell apples for a lower price than you can profit from. The end result is the same: you go out of business.
See, that's why you will be completely bewildered when your insurance (if you have it) will go up, be cancelled, or drop most of its options. You live in some fantasy land where magical things happen. Tell me, will new insurance policies suddenly appear for those children who's policies were cancelled (see link above)?
Another example. What will happen to those companies that have to report every little transaction on a 1099? Will they:
A) Blindly comply with the law doing the same number of transactions as now even though the cost of compliance is high. After all, this is the path of rigorus honesty.
B) Cut back on those transactions as much as possible, thus slowing their business down?
C) Do a lot of work under the table, by barter, and/or in cash?
(I predict you'll say answer "D) the skittle shitting unicorn saves the day." ...)
Posted by: Warthog at September 23, 2010 04:25 PM (dFJla)
But it's not happening. Even in this once-in-a-generation moment where the public is clamoring for the Hairy Testicles of Titanium(tm) to come slamming down in their states and districts. Why?
I find this worrisome. My suspicion is because the Repubs don't really want to push back hard on the spending and make the tough decisions like Chris Christie is doing.
After Nov 2nd, it's absolutely critical that conservatives/Tea Party stay in the faces of the Reps. They must live in fear of being primaried in 2012. Reminded that this wave voting for them is skeptical of the elephants and they must prove their worth or they're out.
One thing I do like is that the Reps platform includes repeal of Obamacare. For awhile I thought they'd try to focus only on "fixing" the bill. So maybe they do get it.
