— Ace I see none here in Gallup, where he returns to his worse ratings in the daily tracking (47/47).
He did get a moderate blip in Rasmussen, from 45% to 49%, owing to his solidification of the Democrats (going from 81% to 90% with that subset). But, you know, Scott Rasmussen is Hitler and can't be trusted.
More troubling for Obama is Rasmussen's findings that a majority of the public just doesn't believe his wild claims about "2 million jobs created" and the rest of the nonsense.

The question is, does he KNOW he is lying to us, or has he really convinced him self that his stimulus really did create or save 2 million jobs? He has GOT to know that the method you used for counting those jobs was utterly bogus. I mean, he HAS GOT to know that right?
When Nancy Pelosi tells us that she is going to do whatever it takes to pass healthcare for the American people and to reduce the deficit, doesn't she KNOW the American people have said over and over they do NOT want Obamacare and that they used accounting gimmicks to make it look like it would reduce the deficit.
I am afraid these people are drinking their own koolaid.

He has one of the common problems of academics. He refuses to think for himself on anything but his "core competency" areas, and relies upon authorities to form his complete opinion in all other areas. (And his area of core competency is 'community organizing', so be worried.)
If an authority he trusts (Say: Paul Krugman) says "Spending money is great, it doesn't matter what you're spending it on, just spend more!" he follows along like a puppet. It doesn't matter that even Keynes himself was talking about infrastructure spending, not random "Let's hire 150,000 geotagging Census workers just to blow more cash."
And it means he always has his perfect cocoon. Just watch his behavior in front of the Republicans. Watch very closely. His entire attitude says "You people are morons, I can't believe anything you guys say. The only plausible way I could see myself saying that is if I was bought by monied interests."
It's "his expert" versus "your expert." He's going into it with the assumption that your expert is a moron. And he can't accept the possibility that "his expert" might be wrong.
Even the cases in which he reverses himself - he's doing it because the political choice is different from what he considers right. Moving the terror trials? Well, ok, I guess we have to. Avoiding C-SPAN? Well, ok, Nancy says I have to. Etc.
It's as if he lives in a true echo chamber. And even when something jarring enters the chamber, he asks his pet expert and gets immediate revalidation.

She was in way over her head, and the walls crumbled down around us on a couple of occasions because of her incompetence. Her actions became delusional, paranoid, and hysterical. She'd run to a typewriter and start madly typing letters to authorities on who had done what. She literally ran around in a state of panic as her duties went undone. The teachers looked stupid in front of over a hundred students because we didn't have tests or teaching materials and no one knew where they were supposed to be going.

The funniest part about this whole debacle is that the Obama team seems to think that these speeches and appearances and photo-ops actually matter.
Ronald Reagan would have been run out of office on a rail in 1984 had the economy not ROARED BACK TO LIFE.
Bill Clinton was re-elected in 1996 because the economy had largely turned around and unemployment was at 5.5%.
If unemployment is still around 10% come November, the Democratic party is toast, regardless of how much bs this clown shovels between now and then. The media can't save Barry, nor can ACORN or SEIU.
The only thing that will work is GOOD POLICY. Unfortunately, this nitwit is too stupid and ideological to do what's necessary to restart our economy (i.e. major tax simplification, drastically cutting the corporate tax, regulation reform, etc.).

I'm not so sure brainless Joe loves his country -- but he is such an idiot (and precieved correctly as such by nearly all) that he would be more easily handled than mister not so wonderful.
I do hope they keep it up with the "economy is saved! we're doing great! the system worked!". It will assure that he is a lame duck president after Nov., and perhaps injure him politically enough to make him unelectable in '12 (and I really want to see P-lousy lose her position in the House; that would be the most wonderful thing ever).

Why should we? Cap'n' Tax is dead in the Senate. If Obama is dumb enough to revive some stupid climate change legislation, he'll get crushed again.
In fact, I look forward to the coming year in an odd way. It's going to be fun when he shrugs off "health" "care" "reform" and makes some lame, unconvincing show of getting all psyched about climate change and amnesty. I think he'd rather take to his bed and plead cramps.

One of the reasons I can't stand listening to His Greatness speak is because he talks down to his audience. He talks to them like they're idiots. Ok, so that's true for 52% of the country, but you shouldn't talk to them like you know they're idiots. Clinton talked to the country like the good ol' boy he was. Bush was a down home country boy. The Republicans don't even have to make shit up about Obama and the Democrats. They don't even have to be shrill. All they have to do is report the facts to the American people. Republicans are like fucking mimes!

A pathological narcissist will look you in the eye and lie to you, knowing that you know it's a lie, and that you know he knows he's lying. And if you point out the lie, you're a terrible person. But they will deny it's a lie, and act as if they believe the lie is true. It's disorienting to experience this in person.
Obama keeps telling outright lies to peoples faces (i.e. Wilson, Alito), and they keep calling him a liar. It never seems to occur to him to quit lying.

my humble opinion, the repubs just need to stay out of the way.
the fraud and the lunatic marxist party (which is what the Democrat's party has been) is self imploding.
The repub/tea party/conservatives just need to keep showing their ideas.. just hammering away at this.
People like me who believed everything the MSM said about Bush no longer believe a word that comes from the MSM ignorant biased mouths. Since the MSM was the campaign manager for the fraud starting in 2008, not only is the party imploding so is the MSM that promoted and continues to promote their fraud product.
The Idealagoue-in-Chief will continue to act like a petulant child, and more and more people will get disgusted. The MSM is essentially irrelevant at this point, thank God for the internet, most of us can get information unfiltered.
and for the repub and/or tea party movement, all is needed a commercial:
"My fellow citizens, where were you the day before Christmas? On December 24th, at 1AM, where were the 60 democrat senators? Voting for a bill no one had read and 60% of the American voters strongly opposed. They abused the power given to them, my fellow citizens: would you want to take a chance to vote to give them power again this November?"

Re: being delushional, did you see/hear Rush's letter to Obama after the SOTU? He hammered him. Snip:
This is a representative republic, not a banana republic, and let me remind you: Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky are not our Founding Fathers. This is a nation built on individuality, built on liberty, free markets, and faith. Yet you, Barack, demand fidelity to a different belief system: A system that crushes individual initiative and free will. The president does not berate Supreme Court justices who are guests of the Congress and who have no ability to respond to your attacks. You've made such a mess of things, Barack, and it's time to stop deluding yourself. It's time to stop blaming others. You are delusional. You are delirious. It's time for you to assume the responsibilities of a president rather than pretending to be one.
You've driven the nation's debt over the edge. It is your responsibility to fix it now. Otherwise, our young people will have no future. You were wrong to grant terrorists constitutional rights. Even the libs in New York don't want the trial there now! You, Mr. President, are endangering the security of this nation. Now fix it! Reverse course, and end the terrorists -- all of them -- back to Guantanamo Bay, where they belong. You are wrong to nationalize one industry after another from automobiles to banks. You are destroying competition and jobs. You need to stop what you were doing before millions of more families go broke from your misguided policies. It's not too late to stop this. I know you're not going to stop it because last night you said you don't quit, and I know what you mean.
You're gonna keep plugging for the same agenda, which is going to destroy this country even more -- which makes me think, Barack, that's your objective. You know, Barack, unlike most presidents you're dealing with a Congress that has super majorities in both houses, fellow Democrats. It amazes me that with all the talk about your ability to persuade and communicate, that you can't even hold your own party members together anymore. Is that Bush's fault, too? Is it is fault of the banks and the insurance companies and the lobbyists that you can't keep your own Democrat Party unified -- or is it a problem with your leadership, Barack, or lack of leadership? It's the latter, Mr. President. I'll tell you, you are not a leader. You are an agitator and an organizer, and a process guy, but you are not a leader. It is you who are doing something wrong.

Depending on the intelligence of the charging design, a failed parallel cell could be benign and the net output of the pack simply degrade to a straight series pack. Or, it might blow up or cause a fire as happens with LiPo's on occasion when they're a little fucked up. Without knowing the specifics of any particular pack design and its charging apparatus, its hard to say exactly what's going to happen.
OTOH, if you have two simple seried packs, and one cell fails, you have one dead pack that's going to register 0V and refuse to charge, and another perfectly good pack.
Myself, I'd buy two ordinary packs. That leaves you the flexibility to charge one offline while using another (if an offline charger is available), and the flexibility to keep the thing light if you don't want to tote the weight around.

I use the Flesch-Kincaid and some other metrics all the time when I write tech doc or presentations for management. I try to keep the F-K down into the 9/10th grade level for those audiences. Not because they're stupid, but because it takes less effort to read and comprehend when something is written to that level; IOW, they're less apt to go MEGO on you and actually read it.
Lacking that conscious effort to simplify it, I'd otherwise tend to write formal shit on ~13th grade level.
If Obama's speech writer did this on purpose, it was a smart move since the SOTU's audience is the nation, not congress. I suspect it happened accidentally due to the campaign'esque nature of the speech.

Being a hard-core conservative my entire life, I've seen some krazy shit. For example, human sacrifice. But I've moved past that and now I'm a solid republican. Being religious and shit, I realize that Obama is super awesome and needs our support. He is not a miracle worker and, as such, needs time to fix America's myriad problems. He will succeed if we support him, so lets do. God bless America and God bless Texas!!

sheik Y ...
Is Obama leaving ? Please say yes ...
Obama has reached the point of no return with his words. People no longer beleive what he says. He now needs to do something and not just match his deeds to his past words but do things that people want done.
He is now a hostage to the Democrats in Congress and their deeds. He is being held accoutable for their actions as he should be.
No matter how many times he tries to blame the politics of DC people just don't care how he gets things done they just want something done about the economy. Or at least do something that makes some sense. Spending more borrowed money doesn't make sense to most Americans but Obama appears to be stuck on stupid.

We can have the first President AN HERO.
This is what the DEMS get for making Obama the Messiah. Maybe he is the messiah, we all know all messiah's all end up getting the same fate, Crucifixion.
So far it is the Tea baggers and teh voters who are crucifying him on a cross made up of his empty promises.

The SOTU made Obama look once again like the “good guy” but voters are a little bit smarter than the average Democratic Congress-critter thinks, so they aren’t blaming Bush for Obama’s policies and proposed legislation, they are going to blame Congress. Obama’s “detachment” from the legislative process frames Congress as the “bad guys” as well.
Yeah. Call it a variant if you must, but itÂ’s triangulation at itÂ’s best and Congress doesn't even see it coming.
