Oh My...Take A Look At Mexico's Immigration Laws
— DrewM

Sorry for the back to back post on the topic but this was too fun to pass up.

Back in '06 Human Events took a look at the immigration laws of Mexico and found some interesting things....

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:

* Foreigners are admitted into Mexico "according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress." (Article 32)

* Immigration officials must "ensure" that "immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance" and for their dependents. (Article 34)

* Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets "the equilibrium of the national demographics," when foreigners are deemed detrimental to "economic or national interests," when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when "they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy." (Article 37)

* The Secretary of Governance may "suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest." (Article 3

...

Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:

* Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)

* Foreigners who sign government documents "with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses" are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)

There's much, much more sweet hypocrisy at the link.

"Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets "the equilibrium of the national demographics,"? That sounds, what's the word I'm looking for? Ah yes, RACIST!

I know liberals will say that we aren't Mexico and shouldn't pattern ourselves after them. Well, i guess it's nice to know there are some cases in which they believe in American exceptionalism. Too bad it's only in cases that lead to bad policies like open borders.

More to the point, I really don't want to hear about racism or fairness or well, anything from the Mexican government about this. Of course as FUBAR points out in the comments, the Mexican government is advising Mexicans not to travel to or do business in Arizona.

But only Whites are allowed to be Racists, silly, Obama says that's the definition.

So Mexico can pass any law it wants, it doesn't matter.   Unless you can prove that Whitey is running things it don't count.

South of that could just remain party land.

Thank Gaia that the AZ governor isn't giving in to economic bullying.

15 Mexico's own enforcement is interesting, but I really don't care what they do and we certainly don't need the laws of any other nation in order to defend US sovereignty and the concept of our national sovereignty, itself.  That is the very foundation of the nation-state and should not even be open to argument among reasonable people.

I am loathe to argue anything about US domestic policy using any other nation's domestic policies.  We don't need, nor want, justification for running our nation the way we want to by referring to how anyone else runs theirs, unless it is being used to show what consequences one might expect (i.e. for use as data, not policy).

The other hypocrisy from Mexico is that they have a bit of an illegal immigration problem on their southern border with Guatemala.  Guatemala is even worse off than they are, and so they get some illegal Guatemalans crossing the border every year.

Suffice to say, those immigrants aren't exactly treated humanely.  Here is a random blog post I just googled on this topic.

17 Black Orchid: I worked in Mexico for a few years and you are correct. Most of the the very very very well heeled and connected Mexicans looked like they were from Barcelona with blonde blue-eyed wives (the hawt, too) Mexico's anger at this is all about not receiving the money illegals send back to Mexico to keep their corrupt government barely solvent.

OT - It's great to know that even smaller cities are considering bankruptcy.  Like the capital of my home state.

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Council Told to Consider Bankruptcy.

“Bankruptcy might be the best option,” she said. “This city is so indebted there’s really no way out.” Council member Eugenia Smith said she was relieved to hear several of the witnesses say that the city has time to consider its options. “I don’t want to rush into anything.” Moody’s Investors Service in February downgraded Harrisburg’s general-obligation bond rating three levels to B2, five steps below investment grade, from Ba2.

In the end, there will be only chaos.

62 Simple solution: anyone caught trying to sneak into the US from Mexico has to work on the giant fence on the border, from the Mexico side. Once the fence is built in one area, they'll be trying to sneak across another part of the border that doesn't have a fence. Grab them, put them to work building a fence in that area. End result: a nice new fence across our souther border, built with free labor. After that, work on a fence around California to keep the Stupid from spreading to the neighbor states. Simple, huh? Me for president.

90 63 I am part of Obama's coalition of voters....someone tell me why he is for people here illegally taking jobs when I can't find one?

They deserve jobs more than you! Mexico is poor while the US is rich, and you're probably white and privileged. "We" must share our wealth with the rest of the world. Together, we can make a difference! Be the change you want to see in the world!

Who's watching this imbicile on Fox?

He's claiming that Fox is editing footage to only show that the immigration rally was made up of hoodlums. He's saying it with a straight face. Of course Kelly had to tell him they weren't Fox cameras.

I'm very much embarrassed for him.

100 They certainly have a lot of youths of indeterminate ethnic origin.

Could be native-born.  Immigrant women of indeterminate origin have way more babies than ethnically European women.

Also note that "born in France" doesn't equal "French citizen."  Parents have to be actually resident and request citizenship when the child is 13, or they can do it themselves at 16.

Hey, lefties, let's be more like France.

Indians need not apply.

Most people have just no idea just how insanely racist Mexico (culturally as a nation society) and most/many Mexicans (personally) really are. It would be as if the only standard of beauty here was blond haired and blue eyed Nordic models and every other combination was un-clean and repulsive, and so that was the only type you ever saw on TV, movies, or in magazines. That kind of explains why many of the actresses in Mexico tend to look alike.

Skin color (lighter is better always better - no exceptions) and blood lines (traceable directly back to Spain with no interruptions please) are everything.

All that in my mind helps explain the mindset of many in the Aztlan and Reconquesta movements and their overt racism toward Anglos and Whites in general. That is what they (in Mexico) are used to.

Hey 19, not that there was anything wrong with LemonKitten's version, but I tried a FIFY:

OK, LET ME SEE IF I GOT THIS RIGHT...

IF YOU CROSS THE NORTH KOREAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, YOU GET 12 YEARS  HARD LABOR WHILE SUBSISTING ON FISH HEADS AND BROWN WATER.
IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, YOU ARE DETAINED INDEFINITELY, BLINDFOLDED AND TORTURED
IF YOU CROSS THE AFGHAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, YOU GET SHOT AND YOUR HEAD WILL BE USED AS A SOCCER BALL.
IF YOU CROSS THE SAUDI ARABIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE JAILED, WHIPPED AND BEHEADED.
IF YOU CROSS THE CHINESE BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU MAY NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN AND YOUR INTERNAL ORGANS WILL BE HARVESTED AND SOLD.
IF YOU CROSS THE VENEZUELAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE BRANDED A SPY AND BROUGHT BEFORE A FIRING SQUAD.
IF YOU CROSS THE CUBAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE THROWN INTO  POLITICAL PRISON TO ROT BUT YOU WILL HAVE GREAT HEALTH CARE UNLESS YOU ARE A HOMOSEXUAL.

IF YOU CROSS THE U.S. BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET:

1 - A JOB
2 - A DRIVERS LICENSE
3 - SOCIAL SECURITY CARE
4 - WELFARE
5 -  FOOD STAMPS
6 - CREDIT CARDS
7 - SUBSIDIZED RENT OR A LOAN TO BUY A HOUSE
8 - FREE EDUCATION
9 -  FREE HEALTH CARE
10 . RIGHT TO VOTE ILLEGALLY

11 - A LOBBYIST IN WASHINGTON
12 - BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS PRINTED IN YOUR LANGUAGE AND THE RIGHT TO CARRY YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG WHILE YOU PROTEST THAT YOU DON'T GET ENOUGH RESPECT.

UNLESS YOU CAME FROM CUBA AS A CHILD, YOUR MOTHER DYING ON A RAMSHACKLE RAFT MADE OUT OF MILK CARTONS, THEN HELMETED PARAMILITARY LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPONS WILL FORCIBLY REMOVE YOU FROM YOUR HOME ON GOOD FRIDAY AND YOUÂ’LL BE HARVESTING SUGAR CANE OR ROLLING CIGARS BY EASTER.

So, mexico wants to boycot Arizona.  I guess that means that all the libtards there will be moving here to California to help us straighten out our state.  And I also suppose that the tijuana border crossing guards will be moving from Arizona to California too.

BTW.  A liberal is a person who helps destroy a city with noxious laws, then reduces/restricts the police department so they will all be touchy feely, and then sues the city when they get raped.  Then they become republicans.

121 I wonder if Telemundo is aware of this key demographic. I always enjoyed the kids shows most, the ones that appear to be populated by strippers, hookers, and the hostess with the world class cleavage and latex hot pants.

It all goes back to Xuxa. Huge star of kiddie TV in LA and SA in the 1980s. While also appearing in porn. With a twelve year old kid. At the behest of her boyfriend, Pele. Yes, that Pele. Who was producing and bankrolling the porn.

Amazing thing about it is, she kept the kidvid gig even after the project made headlines. (Well, she kept it in Brazil and Spanish-speaking markets; Pat Robertson scuttled a project he'd lined up with her. Which, y'know, of course.)

123 So Mexico can pass any law it wants, it doesn't matter.   Unless you can prove that Whitey is running things it don't count.

Have you seen what the "ruling class" in Mexico looks like?  White as the freakin' snow.  Check out their TV shows.  If you aren't of pure (or nearly pure) Spanish (as in, from the country of Spain, Spanish) you probably won't get far at the upper echelons of society.  And despite what the Census people think, Spaniards are Caucasians.

My position on all this stuff, be it Mexican immigration laws or EU Green standards, that the official US policy should be to precisely mirror the other countries requirements.
Seems fair to me.
And the sound of exploding foreign heads would be sweet, sweet music.

124 I thought of moving to Mexico because it actually feels like I'd have more freedom there, as a business owner.  However, the thing that stopped me was their law that non-Mexicans can not hold jobs which Mexicans can do.  And for a while at least, my wife or I would have to have second jobs.

So I can own a business, but can't be a bartender, waiter, construction worker, etc, even if I'm legally in the country with a legal work visa.

Actually, I don't mind that Mexico has those laws.  I think America should have the same restrictions.
