Olbermann: Lean Forward Into Hateful Misogyny
— Ace

A spoof of MSNBC's "Lean Forward" ad (which is there at the link for comparison), which better describes Keith Olbermann's very speshul style.

2 A more accurate depiction for sure....

Here's something related to how you will personally be impacted if the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire...just type in your income after deductions and you will see how deep your pockets will be affected by the expiring tax cuts...show this to all of your friends...I don't think most realize how they've benefited from the tax cuts.

21 As even a pseudo-news organization "Lean Forward" is a horrible slogan. "Lean" maybe in terms of skinny, no fat, or no overpaid - poorly performing anchors otherwise Lean infers bias; and "Forward" isn't the reporting news inherently reactive -- oh I get it you want to be the news and help shape public opinion, but then your no longer news. Good job guys, how much did you pay a consultant to come up with that.

What I don't understand about the NRA is why can't they endorse both candidates? If both candidates are good on gun rights, why not give both the nod?

It's not like the NRA is the NYT, a newspaper with editors who take into account all issues when choosing a political endorsee. The NRA is about one issue: gun rights.

And the VFW can do the same thing. If both the D and R candidates are, in their view, good on veteran's issues, endorse both of them.

44 Congress should only be allowed one staff member, and that staff member should be paid out of the congress-critter's own pocketbook. That would lead to more lobbyists. I think Senator's should have their staff paid for by their respective State legislatures - if we can't amend the Constitution - at least tie them back to their home states.

It's not like the NRA is the NYT, a newspaper with editors who take into account all issues when choosing a political endorsee. The NRA is about one issue: gun rights.

To be fair, in many cases the NRA does the right thing. They endorse the person with a better history of defending gun rights. And if it is a wash between the two candidates, they side with the incumbent.

It makes sense. We also have to understand that the Republican party isn't in lock step on gun rights.  John Kasich, who i like, isn't 100% on gun rights, so the NRA endorsed his opponent who is.

The NRA has to endorse candidates based on their stance and history when it comes to gun rights. In many cases it goes to the democrat. I believe the NRA endorses most PA democrats because they are all pro second ammendment.

However what the VFW PAC is doing is clearly bull. They aren't endorsing the candidate who is more "pro-military, soldiers, soldiers benefits, etc". They are simply endorsing liberal incumbent democrats.

How else can you explain endorsing Klien who has never served or done anything of distinction for veterans over Allen West who has served.

Or Barbara Boxer who attempted to embarrass a general but inadvertantly beclowned herself.

I hope the VFW votes to dissolve the PAC in their August meeting. I would suggest those of you in the VFW to send an e-mail or make a phone call letting them know your membership depends on them doing so.
