I hope comcast does a thorough house cleaning.

I am sick of being told by hollywood and the media that they do what they do because of money not ideology. Yet anti films flop and family freindly films make a fortune(i am looking in your direction PIXAR).

More importantly in the arena of news, Fox  is beating every cable news network combine and multiplied by two. CNN loses 50% of its audience from 2009(which i am sure has nothing to do with Lou Dobbs leaving) and how do they plan on winning back ratings? Why a TV show with David Shushter and some yutz from NPR of course.

If I owned Comcast, I would revamp MSNBC and turn it into a right leaning channel. what happened to the old saying, "if you can't beat them, join them."?

Back in 2002, I used to watch Fox and MSNBC, because MSNBC was a lot more middle of the road. Then during the Bush administration it veered hard left, probably to capitalize off the disenfranchised lefties. Ok fine, good business sense. But now that Bush is gone, don't you think you should do the same thing in the other direction?  Veer to the right to get the disenfrancshised righties and centrists.

Yes, Reagan worked with Democrats who were willing to work with him.  The difference is that Nancy Pelosi hasn't been willing to work with Republicans -- in fact, she's used all the tools at her disposal to exclude Republicans from all significant decisions taken by the House.  So the Reagan example is not germane to any discussion of Pelosi as a Speaker or as a human being.

What exactly, do you find faulty with this response?  I know there's plenty wrong with the invented, imaginary arguments you guys have been knocking down all thread (and I encourage you to keep up the good work -- whoever that guy is arguing that Coburn has to go deserves a good lashing), but were we not also right to be angered when self-styled conservative lodestar Newt Gingrich sat down with Pelosi to talk about their agreement on a rollback to the stoneage to fight the invisible killer CO2?

And another thing.  Coburn does deserve major props for his pronouncements to hold appointments that were obviously purchased in exchange for Obamacare votes.  He recognizes that this kind of horse trading is -- dare I say it -- evil.  But who the hell does he think was making those promises and soliciting those bribes?  Ed Markey?

The Republicans need an easily-digested, clear-cut message for November, and one of the readiest they have at their disposal is to paint all Democrats as allies of Nancy Pelosi.  Most people despise this viper and see her as emblematic of a party gone mad with power.  The ads write themselves.  Or at least they would if the man entrusted with the responsibility for making the machine work wasn't busy painting her as a grandmother just doing it for the children.
