Ovenight Thread-Genghis MIA In Thailand Edition [CDR M]
— Open Blogger

Greetings Morons, CDR M reporting for duty. It would seem Genghis has some business dealings in Thailand tonight so I'm filling in. You can discuss amongst yourselves what that might mean (he did say he wasn't going out like Carradine). In keeping with Genghis' desires (no not the Thai tranny ones), here is your obligatory Friday Warrior content.

I know, I know, not your typical warrior content but good none the less. Suck it up buttercup! Semper Fi! Oh my! Buzz Feed has the list of Disney Girl's gone wild. Wow. What a surprise.

Unless you got game, this is a must for you morons. I present to you, the Manslater! Not even Rosetta Stone has this!

The 30 Freakiest Ads of 2010.The 30 Freakiest Ads of 2010.

Wikileaks Ad of the Day, from Pakistan of all places:

The best Lost Pet Poster evah!

Meghan McCain is just stoopid.

Bon Jovi gets White House appointment. WTF????

Confused about what religion you should follow? This chart will help.

Friday's Musical Video.

A growing number of radiation scientists are concerned about the TSA's new scanners and how they might cause higher rates of breast cancer and sperm mutations. Don't worry, I'm sure Obamacare will cover this.

Giving XXX to the X-Box360. Kratos NSFW warning!

Dang. Han Solo kills Chewie. So it's not OK to shoot first against Greedo but it's OK to shoot your buddy. Got it George.

Turn in your Man Card immediately if you bought this or are tempted to buy this. Really, what moron needs a wine bottle opener? It's all about the val-u-rite screw top.

I leave you with this. A good summary of the latest going's on with Korea. Here's the money quote:

Date .......attack subs deployed | attack subs underway
Nov30 .............. 37% ................ 46%
Dec07 .............. 41% ................ 63%
Dec17 ...............43% ................ 67%

A full 2/3 of the United States Navy attack submarine force is at sea today, and 4 attack submarines have deployed over the last 10 days. I'm sure it is a Christmas coincidence.

27 The religion flowchart is missing something. As a third option for the question "Are you a naturally annoying person?" it should offer "There are no annoying persons, only persons with annoying behaviors." That's the kind of weaselly horse-shit answer Unitarians are supposed to give.
That I don't is what makes me a Unitarian heretic.

Of all the religions out there, being a heretic to Unitarians is actually pretty ok. I wouldn't suggest it with any of the others, though. They can get a bit pissy.

I don't like some of McCain's stances on issues, but he does have some actual life experiences. His spoiled ass brat of a daughter on the other hand, has nothing going for her other than the dumb luck of being born to a senator and a rich mommy. Actually, that's fairly accurate. Even cats I've had in the past learned to stand still if I threw something at them. If they ran, there was a chance they'd run into the path of the projectile.

The coffee thermos incident was early on in our relationship. I told him I didn't want to discuss X subject any more and if he asked me what was wrong again I would throw this fucking coffee thermos at his head. Although I missed and actually left a big dent in the front door, it was at that moment he realized that I actually mean what I say and say what I mean.

144 Many men take a woman literally though.  Sometimes in good faith and sometimes because they are obtuse.  Some even play dumb for their own benefit..

--------------------

Women are easy to understand.

When they're yelling at you, they're pissed off at you.
When they're quiet, they're pissed off at you.
When they're sarcastic, they're pissed off at you.
When you ask if anything's wrong, and they say no, they're pissed off at you.

"It's nothing" means it's something, "Fine" means it's very fucking far from fine, and "It's OK" means your dick is getting superglued to your thigh ten seconds after you fall asleep.

Shut your mouth, wait a couple of hours, and you might - might - be OK. But probably not.

Like the man said, "There are two theories about how to deal with a woman. Neither one works."

Well this guy speculates a few reasons.  One being that Mike or Kyle Shanahan are looking for scapegoats for their mediocre season.  And they've ditched Haynesworth on Defense, Hunter Smith on special teams, and now McNabb on offense.  Also McNabb is an aging injury prone quarterback, so not who you want as starting quarterback for your rebuilding years.

275 Can't imagine women finding it sexy for a man to blow cigar smoke in their face.  As a little girl, tho, I used to love to sit in my uncle's lap because I liked how his pipe tobaccy smelled.

Whenever I pass by an old guy who has pipe smoke on his clothes and a hint of  whiskey around him, I'm back in my grandparents' kitchen, where my uncle would come to visit his dad (my grandfather) and they'd have a couple shots and smoke some great pipe tobacco.

With my wife, it wasn't that the pain relief had worn off.  She got itchy and nervous and wanted more long before the recommended time.  She started yelling at me to get her more and I said.  That's enough of that shit.  I'm getting hold of the doctor.

I told him my wife wasn't doing well with it and I wanted her off it now.  I think he understood and phoned in the prescription to the nearest pharmacy.

Yes - the criticism really wasn't about McNabb at all. He said that McNabb's stats were poor and the reason the press wasn't saying so was his color. Later on McNabb got better.

Actually I think he was incorrect in his analysis. I think the true NFL QB prejudice is in favor of 'mobile' or 'scrambling' QBs over the normal kind. Even at the time, the extra praise McNabb got was not given to Lefwitch and McNair.  And then later the Mike Vick years.

You are correct, sir.

Rush Limbaugh Was Right

Let's review: McNabb, he said, is "overrated ... what we have here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback can do well—black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well."

"There's a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team."

Might have to go all the way to the "How do you feel about suicide bombing" to settle that decision point.

I've speculated previously that it has to do with their schedules.  I still contend that Aguilera hasn't turned out that bad though.  But for the others it seems like they are forced into a nice little PR whore for disney to exploit.  For a non-Disney entity look at the Olsen twins.  Like a lot of Disney stars they also had a presence outside of their TV show.  So not only are you working on the TV show, but you also have to attend all the events and functions they want you to.  And so many of them are also doing the singing thing too so they're recording and touring as well.  A life of constant supervision of work before you hit 18, and then once you do, if your parents didn't blow all the money you're making you're essentially loaded.

Jamie Lynn Spears (yes, Britney's sister) is a baby mama. She's a Nick girl. Lots of furor over that. So far at least none of the Disney girls have done that.

On the upside, Hilary Duff, Raven Simone, Christy Carlson Romano, Selena Gomez (so far) have not become Disney sluts/whores/drug addicts. Same with Vanessa Hudgens (except for the nudie pictures) and Ashley Tisdale. Emily Osment has kept herself out of trouble, afaik. So really, the majority of the Disney girls have been fine. And I never really believed Christina Aguilera veered that far off, either. She was never known for boozing and drugs.

About that power corkscrew... don't need it.  I can open a bottle of wine with a boot lace.  Just poke the cork into the bootle, then use the stick to poke your boot lace, knotted on the end of course, into the bottle below the cork which floats on the top of the wine, then the slick wet cork just pulls out with the knot under the cork bottom.  Great party trick & makes the cheap plonk taste that much better.

I don't think so...at least not that I was aware of. She did a couple of cutesy non-Disney rom-coms. Well, only one that I can think of. And she was in L&O:SVU a couple years ago. She's been really low key. Or, in other words, her fame faded pretty fast once she left Disney.

Tylenol is scary stuff -- I refuse to have it in the house. It has the smallest gap between "effective dose" and "LD50" (Lethal Dose for 50% of population) than any other nonprescription drug, and is the #1 and #2 cause for acute liver failure in the US and UK respectively. It combines badly with alcohol, and is found in many "cold and flu" medications so that it's easy to get overdosed. Considering the relative safety of ibuprofen, I figure the only way it's still legal in the US involves major bribes to the FDA.

They don't say what these "preliminary" votes are for though. On the BS Tax scam what they called "preliminary" vote actually turned out to be the one for "cloture". If that is true for these, it is NOT a "preliminary" vote. It is the actual vote for the bill.

They say the DADT is expected to pass easily.

Here's a news alert for Morons like me who file a quarterly tax estimate

13M get unexpected tax bill from Obama tax credit

WASHINGTON (AP) — About 13.4 million taxpayers may be getting unexpected tax bills because they were awarded too much money under President Barack Obama's Making Work Pay tax credit, a government audit said Thursday.

This happened to me last year. About half of my retirement income comes via a corporate retirement. I had not noticed but the accounting had "adjusted" my withholding after I had calculated my quarterly payments EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE DAMN OBAMA CHEESE.

I wound up owing the exact amount that they had changed the withholding on.

There are no lows that this commie lame *uck congress will not sink to.

They intend on placing DADT with the Start Treaty because they think Republicans want the Start Treaty.

US senator: Gay ban tied to Russia treaty

The White House's Democratic allies in the US Senate should drop plans to repeal a military ban on gays serving openly or risk the fate of a nuclear pact with Russia, a Republican senator said Friday.

Republican Senator Bob Corker, who has played a key role in debates on the new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), urged Democrats to scrap plans to hold a key vote Saturday on ending the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" prohibition.

I have some news for Corker (M-TN), I don't like either of these damn bills. And personally I can not see how they will tie ratification of a treaty which requires 2/3 vote in the Senate alone to DADT?.

But if they do, I will be glad because BOTH will go down in flames.

Venezuela has taken the final step into communist dictatorship

UPDATE 6-Venezuela assembly gives Chavez decree powers

All you liberals who just love communism take note. Not only does communism NEVER work for reasons we have discussed over and over again but this ALWAYS happens.

You see people do not like their earnings and property being confiscated by the government and doled out by the apparatchiks. They will actively or passively resist.

In addition, all those proles who this is supposed to support eventually see that destroying the "wealth" of a country doesn't not make their lives any better. In fact, the opposite normally happens.

So the end result, dictator for life begins ruling by decree.

423 Want to make a vibrant, debt free city?

Then don't do this:

Allentown passes union-friendly bill
Critics say it will drive up costs and stifle competition.

Allentown City Council passed a bill Wednesday that forces contractors to hire union workers on large city-sponsored projects that rely on state or federal funding.

The bill applies to city-sponsored projects that receive state or federal support and cost more than $250,000, excluding engineering and architectural costs. Under the bill, contractors must sign a project labor agreement that includes a requirement that they hire employees from local union halls.

The bill passed by a 5-2 vote.

[ . . . ]

Council members Michael D'Amore, Michael Schlossberg, and Peter Schweyer — a trio that has received financial support from the unions during elections — were joined by Ray O'Connell and Julio Guridy in supporting the bill.

Mayor Ed Pawlowski, who has also benefited from union financial support during elections, co-sponsored the bill.

Supporters said the project labor agreements ensure that work is done by highly skilled and highly trained workers, thus protecting taxpayers' investment.

[ . . . ]

Jeff Zeh, president of the Eastern Pennsylvania chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, a trade group that represents nonunion contractors, said contracts "should be awarded to the lowest possible bidder" and "not on labor affiliations."

He said the bill is not about better training or increased safety — "it's purely a mechanism to ensure that union have a monopoly over construction."

I learned that there are things worse than watching golf.

434 Never did see any of the Toxic Avengers series, TV or otherwise. By the mid 80s I had given up on all TV except news, football, and some movies.

Now even the movies have been culled down to those I get with no commercials and in HD and very few of them.

435 This is the danger of being overwhelmed by illegals who refuse to assimilate. Corruption to them is a way of life. You live with it and device schemes to get your own piece of the corruption pie.

Soon, it is just like communism. Business can not thrive in this environment with the added "CORRUPTION TAX".

436 Fox is still talking about that 15 feet of snow in Reno and the Sierra Nevada mountains. This is actually good for Northern CA. They depend on that snow runoff to fill their reservoirs.

437 The insanity never ceases. On Fox just now.

ICE will now provide free medical treatment to illegals for non-emergency services.

Or the ever odious Captain Planet.  Fewer "factual" self-serving, hypocritical, and inaccurate cartoons have ever been made.

I was just thinking about this. How is it that they did this without authorizing legislation from Congress?

No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.

I don't recall congress appropriating funds for free medical care for illegals. Who can get standing on this one since the Supreme court has ruled that simply being a tax payer defrauded by the government is not grounds.

441 How is it that they did this without authorizing legislation from Congress?

Aside from Clinton's response when asked wtf, "Because I could," recall GWBush's exiting executive order enabling Treasury Secretaries complete autonomy.

442 Holger was on the ONT last night and told us that his dad, who posted here as Pelayo, had passed away the day before

Sorry to hear about this.  Good bless Pelayo, Holger, and his family.

Good morning folks.  We're having light snow here.  The dog loves it.

Probably a good day to stay inside, wrap Christmas presents, and catch a bowl game.

443 Two men in MD (great State that it is) rescue deer stranded in freezing waters. Get a ticket for not wearing flotation devices from wildlife officer, even though they were to required by law. Now they will have to fight it in court.

Lesson learned!

Next time I see a creature in distress I shall point and laugh until the "appropriate authorities" are called out to  "most humanely" effect their rescue / botch the job.

Fuckin', Maryland!

*spit*

I have personally escaped almost certain death not just once but two times at the hand of Parris Glendening when he felt like getting all "drive my own car and shit".

One time was Church Circle, other one was State Circle. (Pretty much the driveway of Annapolis, I guess.)

"What the fuck was that?!"

*heart pounding*

"Is everyone Okay?!"

"That was the fucking Governor!  Look at the plates!"

"Governor of what?!"

"The State!"

"Whaaa???"

*blood still pounding in her ears after bodily lifting one of her male classmates (who went on to serve with distinction in the Coast Guard) from the "lane of certain doom"*

"Maryland is a state.  Annapolis is it's capitol.  That was the governor!"

"I don't care who the fuck that white haired lunatic is!  He ought to be shot!"

2 years later, me and a friend, were going for a Swedish Potato and I heard a Vroom!

Oh, Holy Crap!

Fuckin' tackled my buddy (who was, in all honesty, pretty slight.  If I weighed 105 lb he could not possibly have weighed more than 120 lb).

"What the hell?  Who was that gray haired lunatic?  Don't ever touch me like that again, BTW!"

"That was the Governor!"

"Governor of what?"

"The state of Maryland, silly!"

Went on to do some good work (I assume) in Army Intelligence .

Yep, a good and completely NATURAL occurrence. It's the dry years without the mountain snows that trouble the West.

445 "I see nuhtink" Seattle fascist enablers.

This is what happens when the law becomes a force for PC instead of enforcement. England has already been swamped with this kind of shit and we are not far behind.

The liberal's answer?; ban guns and knives. I can say this though, in SC those girls could be charged with "lynching". That carries a very stiff penalty, especially if the attacked party is injured in any manner.

A "mob" is defined for the purpose of this article as the assemblage of two or more persons, without color or authority of law, for the premeditated purpose and with the premeditated intent of committing an act of violence upon the person of another.

450 So, Captain Beefheart is dead. I watched Ice Cream For Crow on YouTube. When he says, "Stop the show. I need to say hello to the crow." I thought of Obama's press conference after the Fort Hood massacre. Did TOTUS feed him Beefheart lyrics? Was he high?

452 Here in Wis. we had a state legislator go flying through an intersection one evening and almost kill a biker rider. Must have been some tax raise he was in a hurry to vote for, since that's all we get here.
