Patrick Kennedy: O U T
— Ace

He won't be seeking reelection, as he's decided to spend more time with his dangerous narcotic diet pills.

From Gabe on Twitter:

Poll had only 35% saying they would vote to reelect P. Kennedy. He faced primary challenge from Jon Brien and GOP fight with John Laughlin.

And also, his 2006 campaign slogan -- Less Hookers, More Blow -- was "dated."

When Patricia Bowman (The Blue Blob) made the complaint against William Kennedy Smith, and the Palm Beach County District Attorney filed rape charges, the entire clan descended to protect on of their own.  There were limited seats in the Court House because the Kennedy family had "reserved"seating?  Just how do you reserve seating in a public arena?

One final point.  After Willie raped Pattie Bowman by the edge of the pool at the Kennedy compound, Ted testified he never heard any sounds from the pool area.  On that evening, the winds were SE at steady 15, gusting to 25 and Ted's bedroom window was only about 30 feet straight line distance.  You make the call.

PS  Willie was acquitted of rape!  Psssst, he did it!

For those of you wishing for him to leave a Cessna-sized hole in the ground - please no.  General aviation does not need another Kennedy contributing to the CFIT statistics.

Watson's district's a lost cause, the anointed replacement Karen Bass might almost be sane by comparison but she's a creature of the usual run of California Dem interests, doubt there'll be a measurable difference in their votes.

139 We've had our first "concerned conservative" sighting of this campaign season.  In our statewide daily paper, they ran a letter from a "lifetime, rock-ribbed conservative" urging every conservative to vote for Blanche Lincoln.  The writer claimed that she was our best hope to elect a moderate who would represent our conservative values.

Pickup is now unlikely; depends on how well this fellow Loughlin can do the Scott Brown act against the RI machine.  However, there is a possibility with the upcoming redistricting that RI could lose a seat anyway.

I doubt Buddy will run (yes, he's out of jail).  The bigger problem may be to keep Lincoln Chafee out of the governorship.  That's the kind of rearguard action we're fighting.

158 A happy day here in the 1st Cong District of RI. But, the Republican will have a difficult time of it even if he runs against the proverbial Democrat yellow dog. Speaking of yellow dogs, we have the Lynch boyz - Patrick, the ethically challenged AG and his bro, William, head of the state Democrat RICO conspiracy party. There are others, but I doubt they include Cianci. I consistently voted against Cianci in Providence after his first term, but damned if I wouldn't vote for him against either of the Lynches or most any other Democrat who might take a run at it.

Come to think of it, this has been a terrible year for the Clan. Teddy's seat goes Republican, Obama declares that we can't go to the moon, and now their weakest link finally snapped.
The country, and probably future Kennedy kids themselves, are better off for it.

Also, elective politics are out for the Ks, but not appointments, now that Obams rules the world with his Treasury and EPA robots.  Algore did pretty well with his cooked up AGW with the help of the government. The Ks will answer the call and skim off another billion or two before they are done.
