3 Thanks, Dave.  I can't take any more of the feeding frenzy on yesterday's shootings.

WTF happened to the official's flag on that last pass to the Raven's guy?  The Chief was all over him.  Should've gotten a flag on that one.

4 She looks happy in her job.  Otherwise, I really don't like most of the teams left so I will guess I will go with the foot fetish team because they kick really well.

How about the Pack?  They're kind of the remaining feel good time in a way.  Old school.

9 I haven't watched the whole game but, are the Chiefs getting jobbed by the refs?  Some of these calls seem ... questionable.

the key to this game is the quarterback picking up the pressure

Good D by the Chiefs.

14

Well at least the CL is pretty good to make up for the tardy thread.

Hoping for Chiefs and Packers to win today.

Don't care for the Ravens.

I loathe Philly for obvious reasons.  Aaron Rodgers seems like a good guy actually worth rooting for, unlike the sociopath on the other team.

15 If the Chiefs want to win this game they're going to have to put up more points.

Another great red zone hold to a FG by the Chiefs, but it's time for them to get points.

If by "job" you mean "blowjob," then, yeah I kinda think so.

I thought the officiating in yesterday's Jets game was odd, too.  Officials had a "let them play" philosophy going which certainly gave the advantage to the team playing the physical running game.

Usually when the defense and special teams fail, the procedure is to blame Peyton Manning (kinda like blaming Sarah Palin for political violence while Barack Obama is actually advocating it...). Thank you for deviating from script.

Am I confusing lacey and Heather?  I thought lacey was the Colts fan.  Anyway, condolences to you, Heather.  It was a disappointing loss.

A few things about that game.  Peyton made some amazing play calls yesterday.  Having said that, I see little evidence that the 'new' head coach brings anything to the table.  Also, I thought the officiating grossly favored the Jets' game plan.  Way too hands off, empowering the physical team.

240 The other announcer's name escapes me, but I like him OK.  Most of the shit they say is just background noise and I don't really pay too much attention to them.

That would be Joe Buck.  But I'm quite the opposite.  Troy brings something to the table simply because he's boiled a few mouth pieces and he knows what he's talking about.  Joe is famous because of his dad.  He's got a deep voice that he loves to hear and is pretty much an empty head.

Posted by: Mallamutt, I ain't above repeating a joke at January 09, 2011 05:39 PM (OWjjx)

Here's the deal. Back in the 60s, the Eagles were owned by a cheap bastard who threw nickels around like manhole covers.  It was the last game of the season, the sorry team putting to bed yet another 2-12 season.  And it was obvious that the owner didn't give a shit.  Well, team management decided at the last minute that they ought to trot out Santa at halftime, but they were too cheap to hire a professional Santa.

So they got a raggedy old Santa suit, and the day of the game they started looking in the stands for a suitable Santa.  They settled on a drunk 20-something who was skinny as a rail.  He put on the suit, which was falling off him, and the beard, which hung off his face like a bib.   He stumbled out and waived to the crowd.

Well, this was the last straw for the fans who saw this as a feeble attempt by a cheapskate owner to condescend to the lumpen proles.  It was management the fans were pissed at, not Santa Claus.

347 337 Booger, there's a lot to be said for high-scoring games and exciting touchdown plays, but once in a while I like to see an all-out, take-no-prisoners, great defensive battle.  It reminds me of watching football games with my dad when I was a kid.

Yeah, me too, but there's something about the Steelers and Ravens that just sucks the fun out of a game. Kind of like when Brad Johnson replaced an injured Tony Rome for a while a couple years back and it was the most tedious thing ever to watch because everyone knew Johnson couldn't throw more than five yards so everyone just loaded up the line all the time.
