— Gabriel Malor Sweet. And here I was about ready to give up on the whole American experiment, but it seems there's reason for hope. Americans learn:
The new survey found that just 29% believe last yearÂ’s economic stimulus plan has helped the economy while 43% believe it hurt. Not surprisingly, there is little appetite for another round. By a 69% to 15% margin, voters believe tax cuts is a better way to create jobs rather than more government spending.
Last week, President Obama was telling the G20 that more spending would bring around their national debt-saddled economies. They ignored him and pledged to cut deficit spending by half instead. It looks like they can learn too.

You gotta go on a credit card spending spree to kick your finances back into gear!

Happy Fourth of July to all real American's, and as an afterthought, fuck Obama, the Wookie, and fat ass Orca.
Beaches in Juno/Jupiter, Florida loaded with chicks, mommy's with kids, dogs, and the ever present fat broad in a string bikini who thinks she looks good? Better known as cellulite butt, lard ass, or a beached whale.

IOTW had a video up a couple days ago titled "What If," that highlighted the Founders and their intestinal fortitude. At first, I thought, Meh, what a lousy title. Then I ruminated on the title a little more. What if the Founders hadn't done what they did. Where would we be? Happy Independence Day, my Moron Friends!

Just because people are waking up to the true dimensions of the catastrophe uninformed, race-guilt-ridden fools (aided by the bought-and-paid-for MSM) visited on us 18 months ago, nothing is being done.
We all howl about the crimes committed by Osama Obama, crimes that would have gotten any past president impeached and jailed, but he and his thugs have what seems to be an unbreakable hold on the country.
The Declaration of Independence lists the reasons we gave King George the finger. Most apply to the Traitor-in-Chief as well.
He's going to get his way if it kills us.

I believe the 200+ economists, including several nobel laureates who signed a letter to the Jug Eraed Idiot-in-Chief, insisting he not sign the porkulus bill because it would massively only add to the deficit, lower tax revenues, and cost millions of jobs..

This is an example of why progressivism is a precursor to fascism.. These do-eyed idiots are so impressed with title and fame that they'll follow the latest star, believe anything anyone says 'cause, in this case, "He won a Nobel prize!".
Krugman has been nothing but a water carrier for Preznit Ass-Kicker and has reversed so many things he's said in the past in trying to do so without people laughing at him too hard that it's almost funny to watch.

Jean, It's not that distribution isn't carrying the inventory or don't want to. We can't get it in fast enough from the manufacturers. The company I work deals mainly in process control and not board level components though.I've spent more time the past few months expediting orders as I have processing new ones. I have heard that the chip mfg have really dropped the ball.

There are some people that want to believe the worst about what's good and the best about what isn't good because they have a personal stake in believing it, regardless of the facts on the issue. The're fooled because they want to be fooled.

That is pretty much that the US Govt is doing.
I like how cash strapped the G20 nations are basically telling Pres Obama to F*** off. These are the nations that were once all ga ga over him, this guy is WORSE than Carter in being totally ineffectual. Obama still thinks is kingshit and all should listen and obey him. 2012 cannot come fast enough, November 2010 is going to be a bad month for Obama and his party.
Obama lost Doonesbury, even Rolling Stone is slamming his ass calling his bank bailout a sell out to the bankers and this precious Health care reform a sell out to big pharma, and big insurance. He has become a disappointment even to the leftists. The GOP is going to win big because many of his past are going to sit the next one out, vote for some radical third party or go GOP. The ones that so GOP are probably going to stay that way.
Only people will be left will be the deluded die hard fanatics, like the Michael jackson wackos who still see hism as a 25 year olf black man not the shrived and bleached Dripinol taking pedophile.

I know, it sounds expensive, but really- it would be a bargain compared to letting the 'tards remain here in the US.
--------------------
When USA 2.0 is up and running, we need to settle on a way to strip individuals of citizenship and expel them. If the current crop of legislators understood that they could be exiled to Bangladesh, they MIGHT pay a little more attention to that silly "oath-of-office" thingie. Who knows? -- maybe they'd even take the time to READ THE DANG BILLS before voting "yes". ~=sigh=~ or maybe they still wouldn't....

We don't need a tax cut to rescue this faltering economy, as much as we need some tax decisiveness.
If businesses knew with relative certainty what their taxes and unemployment insurance costs would be for the next 3-5 years; and knew this from a source they trusted to defend this decision come hell or high water; that would likely be sufficient.
Lower taxes are good, but the problem right now isn't the actual tax rates as much as the uncertainty of what fresh hell the government will spring on them in the months and years to come. With the debt skyrocketing, and So-So Security and Medicare looking to drive the government into a corner, businesses know they'll get hit. And they know they'll pay higher UI per employee for as long as the Government decides to extend benefits...
Actually lowering spending, getting so-so security and medicare costs under better control, and you can let the Bush tax cuts expire with a promise that you won't raise anything any further, and you'll let UI coverage get back to normal... that would help right now more than a tax cut; if it were a reliable source who kept promises and was fiscally and politically reliable.
Sadly I don't think any part of that is even vaguely possible.
Posted by: Gekkobear at July 05, 2010 02:19 AM (I+L6x)
It's not that simple. I just took a pay cut, in the form of an unpaid, forced, four weeks off. I consider myself lucky to still have a job. So, what doesn't get bought or paid off so I can give the government more money? There isn't a lot of slack in the family budget, and I'm one of the lucky ones. The certainty for business is no certainty at all. When the customer has no money, you don't sell much.
This is going to end, and end badly. I just hope the folks who caused it get theirs in full measure. It didn't have to be this way.
