24 I remember the initial thing about Lowden being hot, but the only thing I've really heard about this race recently is "GOP establishment rejected by voters." That's a good thing. I was worried it would take two elections to neuter the problem parts of the parties. Further, the only polls giving Reid a chance were the ones with a third "tea party" candidate, a ploy which cannot work if Angle is our nominee.

As for the kooky, well, that's what 99 other Senators are for.

The chicken remark was self-induced, but it came at the worst time, since it wasn't only Reid who stood to gain from making an entire ranch out of it. And Ace is right: if Sharon Angle wins tomorrow, Reid and the Big D machine are going to be so all over her with years of video tape and tea party policies, she'll be leaking centrist voters worse than BP's Deepwater site. This is Reid, after all: the D's Big Kahuna of the Senate. There just won't be enough money in circulation to compete with what the Big D machine is going to throw at her in between tomorrow and November.

Yes, it was a stupid idea, but the desperate Lowden camp is making it WAY more then it is (the bill never passed anyway).
