First, if (hypothetically) I was walking my dog and came upon an unopened can of Heineken laying in a snowbank, would taking it home and drinking it be the same as eating out of a dumpster? OK, that's a rehtorical question, I'm drinking it right now.
Second, I keep seeing the heir apparent of N. Korea being referred to as Kim Jong-Un. Now, my understanding of naming customs in Korea (at least for males) are that the Family name comes first, then the individual's given name, followed by the father's name. So Kim Il-Sung has a son he names Jong, who is then called Kim Jong -Il. Consequently, when Kim Jong-Il has a son he names Un, that person should be called Kim Un-Jong, not Kim Jong-Un, right?
Maybe some of the morons who have spent time in Korea (or are Korean) could enlighten me.

I think the smartphone contenders out there now are iPhone Blackberry Droid and windows phones. And I think the only one that actually has any limitations is the iPhone since its AT&T only. No clue on if Blackberry and windows phones have the open source abilities like the Droid phones. I think one source for comparisons would be to go to g4tv's website and search their gadget pron segments. Because when they do review things like smartphones they do usually offer some comparison to other smartphones.

The family name is Kim. The given name (John, Jake, Ebenezer, etc) is Jong-un or Jong-il or Dae-jung or Yong-sam or what have you. Most Korean given names are two syllables.
The "Jong" in Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un are not inherited; they're given.

If people primarily buy diamonds to facilitate decadence, then either your novelty diamonds would end up mounted on rings and used for decadent purposes, or they would appeal to a completely different target demographic, and therefore you wouldn't be competing with the other diamond sellers at all.

For Christmas, I'm decorating a different door at our church building each week. Next week, the theme is: Divine Encounters. I want to depict the shepherds and the Heavenly Host but I need a decent picture I can copy from. Anybody know where I can find some decent angel pictures? Just try using an image search engine. Most artists who draw angels are pervs.

The Heavenly Host are archangels, cherabim, and angels, not seraphim. Seraphim guard the throne. You're also more likely to see angels more properly portrayed in Medieval and Renaissance art, though we can't be exactly sure how they look. We're only told about cherabim and seraphim.

What we were laughing about earlier this evening is not that the Giants got diverted here to KC, but now they have to spend the night. Can you imagine trying to get that many rooms for that many people on a couple of hours notice?

Ezekiel says that the cherubim have 4 faces. You can look at several different biblical version here. It seems like a few say that "each of the cherubim had four face, one of them a cherub..." which seems a bit confusing to be but oh well.

It's more a question of whether the angels described in Revelation 4 are the same as the cherubim as described in the OT. The ones in Revelation 4 seem to be a cross between cherubim and seraphim, but we don't really know.

yeah, I expected the twist though especially after the comic and the books. It's been a pretty good arc with her starting off as the naive character to becoming what she is now.
We'll they've said that there will be more DLC. Just don't know how many yet.
Also, I'm really hoping Adam Baldwin's character is in the third game (maybe even as a recruit-able character). That little bit made a great counter point to Tali

yeah, Legion would definitely have to be in the third game after the out of nowhere appearance of him and the time you do have with him sets him up as a special being. And I wouldn't be surprised if they have him live through the 3rd game so they can use him in the other Mass Effect games.

The "consolification" of the video game industry is killing off all the games I like. Soon there will be nothing left but games with poor camera management and terrible control schemes. And writer-driven plots and annoying scripted sequences that take your decisions away from you.
And repetitive minigames. And restrictive clipping zones.
And expensive expansion packs (DLCs) and limited development resources for amateurs.

My biggest problems were the continuation of the whole scripted plot thing where you can't control major events, and cutting down on explorable area (the Citadel was a huge disappointment).
On some of the forums online the console gamers were complaining bitterly re: Mass Effect 1 about pretty much all the parts I liked about the game.
The good news is, if all games go console play-style, it will free up some of my spare time for more productive endeavors.

Don't get your hopes up. Fallout: LV was made by a console dev, and it shows (for example the restrictive clipping and more linear gameplay).
On the other hand they didn't pull back on the "aftermarket" development.
I'm very worried about ES:5, however. And Thief 4. The Thief fanboys are a particularly odd bunch and were very, very loud pre-development.

There is no end to the crap the socialist assholes that run the major cities in this country will go to fund their commie programs. Busses already get 20% of the gas tax money to subsidize their operations. Last month they tries to push another sale tax hike through to fund them but that was defeated because people are sick of that game.
Now they have a new gimmick.

Yeah, that’s the way it always starts. Sales tax was 3% when I first came here, its 8.5 – 10.5 now. Hey Mayor I’ve got one for you. Shut down the bus system, kill the gas tax, and fire all those freeloaders in the bus service. Hell, I don’t get paid for driving empty vehicles all over the city.

That "average" bill of $87/month is BS. Electric rates here are low compared to most of the country, but they are not that low.
My bills on a 1600 sq ft house run from a low of about $100/month to a high of around $300/month. The only way you will have an $87/month average is to not have A/C or electric heat.
But even if the bill were low for this crap, this is still the way it always starts. They sneak in some low rate that most people will not notice and then it gradually increases over time to the onerous rates.

This past year my peak electrical bill occurred in the Winter instead of the Summer. That is a massive change for the Southeast. Traditionally the South has always had more "cooling days" than "heating days".
But I guess all that globull warming has made the Winters colder and the Summers cooler.

Now they're after Drudge (want to own his site) over pictures from The Denver Post. First, the Post would've had to send him a cease and desist letter which he ignored. Second, even if that happened there's the fair use argument.Drudge has enough money to buy a bunch of lawyers smarter than the Righthaven boys so I don't see them winning that one. I hope Drudge blows a bundle on lawyers and sues Righthaven for his legal fees. That would be flaming skull in a pudding cup worthy.

They have been getting their money from a few "poorer" blogs by suing on ridiculous grounds and expecting the blog to just fold and "settle". I guess DU told them to pack sand and hit them back.
Drudge may do the same thing, but a picture is harder to defend under the "fair use" doctrine. This is part of the problem, "fair use" is muddy as hell because the courts have ruled up and down all over on it.
But most of these Righthaven suits from what I have seen have no rational basis at all and should have been thrown out from the beginning.

Our electric bill is the same annually as it was in PA, which also included natural gas, even though we used oil for heat. Three Mile Island had supplied the electricity for that area in the past, which I assume is why the bills were so high.

That would be stupid. I note that they have already spent a fortune on NO2 scrubbers and fly-ash percipitators (noisy SOBs).
You guys have some of the highest rates in the country already. (15.5 - 16.0 cents/kw vs 7.1 here)
But the overall problem is not just the high rates, it is the lack of generation in the NE. You guys are already importing from Canada and from the Midwest. You are currently at about the limit for doing that. Taking off 750 MW of generation would be insane.

Since I have been posting here, I have noticed a weakness in my punctuation skills regarding quotation marks. Specifically, the placement of periods and question marks inside and outside of them. I shall try to fill that void in my education.
for example:
You said, "I don't give a s***."
Who said, "I don't give a s***"?
That's the sort of thing that keeps me awake nights. Next I will go back to diagraming sentences. Carry on.
