A fist/knuckle itself also does not break teeth in the middle.  Knocks them out, sure.  A ring might crack a tooth mid-length, but it's the second hit (the one into the concrete or floor) that cracks teeth into noticeable pieces.  Knuckle will not take a corner off a normal tooth, though I guess an uppercut might make the teeth smack together hard enough to crack.

Curious, I believe that it's highly plausible that someone with the level of rage exhibited in the tapes (doctored or not) could get physically violent with someone. I'm inferring this because I've experienced it, and because I know what people are capable of. 

I'm not sitting on a jury, so I'm not assessing Gibson's guilt from a legal standpoint.  I'm merely making an inference based on my knowledge of human nature.

Reminds me of the time when I was walking down a dead-end street in the East Village with a friend.  We came on a bunch of teenagers with late-model BMWs and pure-bred pitbulls having an argument about a "missing package".  Am I allowed to make the mental connection that they might be part of the drug trade?  Or did I have to immediately give them every benefit of the doubt?  (Maybe the cars belonged to someone else... maybe they were on their way to a dog show....)
