Rasmussen: Raese Takes Six Point Lead Over Manchin
— Ace

And at 50% -- 50-46%.

Margin of error +/- 4%, so still in the MoE. But almost sorta out of it.

Connecticut Really Doesn't Like Jobs: 54% to 43%, Blumenthal well ahead of McMahon.

It's going to take awhile for the Obamanation to really affect CT.

First off, being sandwiched between MA and NY, CT leans hard left.  So you're starting with a loonie group to begin with.

Then consider the western chunk of the state.  Lots of Wall St. bankers communting into Westchester.  Lots of very wealthy lawyers.  These people aren't hurt by the economy at all.  Comrade Obama is very much like Soviet Leaders before him - he wants everyone to know he's boss, but he doesn't slaughter the cash cows either.  He bailed out the bankers, and spared the lawyers any angst with his "healthcare reform."  Those people are untouchable until Wall St. truly bombs.

Consider the eastern half of the state.  Insurance is the big gorilla there... and ObamaCare hasn't devastated that group.  Yet.  Give it time.

The scary thing about the upcoming crash in CT is that it will be structural.  Think Pittsburgh, when the steel industry collapsed and moved to China.  When banking is gutted and Insurance is owned by the State, CT will have nothing left to do.

Whaling is illegal now, smoking is almost illegal, and Danbury hasn't made hats for a very long time.

Bon Appetit, CT Comrades...
