A FORMER driver of mine called me up here in Cali. She wanted to know which prop was the anti-global warming law bill so she could vote for it and suspend the law (the diesel part of it has been just KILLING independent intermodal companies here, we have lost 10 drivers thanks to its restrictions).

Not only did I help her out with Prop 23, I informed her that only ONE person in any of the races sided with the truckers and business against the law because she knows it kills jobs- Carly Fiorina.

Both her and her husband are straight ticket Democrats but are so burned by the Diesel law they will vote for anyone who vocally supported its suspension.

Prop 23 would pass if only the supporters spent the fucking money to show what AB32 has already destroyed. Fiorina should keep pushing down here- lots of people in transportation and logistics hurt by it that are willing to break ranks and vote for somoene who has their back.

61 There are two headlines on drudge regarding voter fraud.  I just realized, in NY when you hand them your vote to run through the new voting machines it doesn't show how your vote is recorded.  It just scans the paper (the guy was showing me how it doesn't matter how you insert it, it reads it all ways) and say "Thank you for your vote".   So I have no idea how my vote was recorded.  I almost think they should allow you to see that part or at least generate a printout that shows how you voted or something.  I was surprised by some of the outcomes, maybe there was cheating.

Residency is often hard to pin down.  Pretty much if she doesn't vote in two different places and has some claim to recent residency in Savannah, she should be able to vote there.  Especially if it was a few weeks ago that she moved.  If pressed, she would be able to claim she intended to move back (no matter how impossible that really is).

The governor's race between Malloy and Foley is also hotly contested and close. Malloy (D) general has a lead in polls but at 5% at best and never at 50% or better. For this to be correct and the Blumenthal poll to be too that means a significant number of people will vote for Foley and not McMahon. I don't believe it. Blumenthal is definitely favored but it's not even 10% never mind 12 IMHO.

Remind people who are squishy about voting that EVERY vote for a Republican is one more vote that the Democrats have to match in order to keep it close.  At some point, they won't be able to "find" any more votes.

I still say that a good number of the early votes that are categorized as "Democrat" were actually cast for the Republican candidate.  There are LOTS of people crossing over to our side because of what "their" party has done over the past 2 years.
