— Purple Avenger Ouch.
...Overall, 41% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. ThatÂ’s the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-eight percent (58%) now disapprove. ...Not much longer before he busts into the 30's...you know...George Bush range.

Almost...as I recall reading in some history book, the best Hitler ever did in a real election was 38% plurality.
It wasn't a system like ours. So 38 percent didn't translate into 38% of the seats in the Reichstag, often it meant a largest percentage. Plus in those European systems no one gets more that 50%

Its Florida and Ohio that always matter in the general election.
He wont win Indiana, Nevada... probably has lost Colorado.

In my dream, I developed an acute infatuation for the neighbor's chocolate lab. During the day, while the owners were away at work, I coaxed their dog, Missy, into my backyard. We consumated our mutual attraction. In my dream, we had a litter of man dogs. Human heads on canine bodies. The neighbors were puzzled although they said the litter looked a lot like me.
I asked the shrink what this dream meant and why I kept having it. He sat back in his chair, gave it some thought and said, "I dunno kid. Cheer up, things could be worse. You could be Oilbama or that Hayward guy."
My spirits were lifted. I cranked out a check for his 200 per hr. rate. Money well spent.

"My mom would counter that she saw a NYT/ABC poll that has Obama at 54%."
Well, your mom is right: 54% of the people at ABC and the NY Times still do support The One.
The rest of us, not so much.
By the way, given the differences in support between blacks and whites, about a quarter of that 41% is black voters. Which means that among whites, supporters are outnumbered more than two to one by rational human beings.
Further, I'm willing to be a bright, shiny nickel that a large portion of that 41% consists of whites who don't want the nice young pollster to think they're racist and so give The One a tepid support, when in their hearts they know that The One, rather than being a "lightbearer" or a "Jedi knight", is in fact the village idiot. Maybe a quarter of them? A third, perhaps?
Hell of job you've done in the gulf, Barry!

From Dr K:
Pres. Barack Obama doesn’t do the mundane. He was sent to us to do larger things. You could see that plainly in his Oval Office address on the Gulf oil spill. He could barely get himself through the pedestrian first half: a bit of BP-bashing, a bit of faux-Clintonian “I feel your pain,” a bit of recovery and economic-mitigation accounting. It wasn’t until the end of the speech — the let-no-crisis-go-to-waste part that tried to leverage the Gulf Coast devastation to advance his cap-and-trade climate-change agenda — that Obama warmed to his task.
Pedestrian is beneath Obama. Mr. Fix-It he is not. He is world-historical, the visionary, come to make the oceans recede and the planet heal. [...]

Yep. The bloom is off the rose.
Two signs in media/pop-culture just about knocked me over. First, Carville's rant tearing Obama a new one was the political dam breaking. Next, John Stewart producing multiple, biting clips (finally the tangential critiques are gone) that hit at the core of Obama's incompetence was the youth vote/Hollywood aura dam breaking.

Meh.
If i take the 6500 credit and invest it with a 5% return, then the payout would be about $400 per year.
I can guarantee a risk free 5% return right now by paying down the principle on my 5% rate mortgage with the tax credit. And I could do better, maybe, in the stock market.
If I had bought my house at today's rates (4.5% ), the savings would be about $600 per year.
So I missed out on a little. The thing is, I couldn't predict that rates would go lower at the time i bought. Odds were, they were going up.

158 These are the same people who say Bush screwed things up so bad, that it will take Obama a long time to fix it. I'm sure if you press them on the details of the things Bush screwed up so bad, they will not be able to answer with anything substantive.
They usually answer in vague statements. "The war! Katrina! Big Oil! Lack of jobs!" As far as details are concerned, they just parrot what they heard on the MFM. One of my friends even quotes The View as evidence.

So you're saying that Barry still has plenty of downside coming. I can't really argue with that.

Obviously they're not quoting Hasselback then. She may not be the sharpest but compared to the rest of those bitches she does have a functioning brain.

Rasmussen was the last major poll to have McCain winning in 2008.
And when did he have McCain winning in 2008 you pathetic troll? You want it to sound like he had McCain as winning the Monday before the election. And I really doubt that was the case. Get lost John Ryan.

Obama will never get below 40% approval. 15% liberal hispanic vote+ 12% liberal black vote+13% liberal feminist vote= 40% approval...he can't go any lower than that....etched in stone.

"He's lost all the Hillary dems here that I know."
He never had millions of them. and now those Hillary dems, people like me, will even campaign against ANY demon-rat.
He's not just destroying his presidency, he is destroying the democrat brand, which is what Hillary dems were yelling about.
