— Ace What? 110?
Even with the help of the rightroots?
She still says she thinks she qualified but I'm starting to think that claim that she already had 3500 was just completely made up.

Yeah. Of course she's a whackjob, duh. That's why we wanted her as the demunnist candidate. Sounds like the machine took care of itself here, though.

Maybe its me but if she really was trying to challenge Bayh, wouldn't she already have the 4500-5000 signatures. She knew the deadline and what was required, it just didn't sneak up on her.
It doesn't matter anyway because Bayh royally screwed the Democrats in Indiana. The ads practically write themselves, "the Democrat 'party bosses' are trying to choose your Senator for you".

Okay, even proceeding under the assumption she's delusionally optimistic and didn't get close to the goal, I still question that 110 number. There are only 110 friends of D'Ippolito, lefty moonbats and right-wing saboteurs in Indiana, all added together? How many signatures got disqualified? I think this needs investigated. The people have a right to know!
Seriously, any division on the left can only help us. And I've met a few leftists who, in unguarded honest off-the-record moments, admit to "understanding how things are done" in close important votes. Whether she even came close or not, I really do doubt the 110 figure.

I know you all haven't gotten there yet, but did you see where Barry is embracing (not close enough, imo) nuclear power?
Just goes to show the power of peer review on leftist bullshit data. A few short months ago, nuclear energy would have killed all of the whales, destroyed the rings of Saturn, and made every man's dick fall off. Why, you ask?
Because leftist bullshit data said so, that's why. It was settled science, for crying out loud.
But not now. No sirree. Now the bullshit leftists have applied the magic of peer review to the data and found that, not only is it absolutely safe, it is now the only energy known to exist that will make a man's penis longer (the glow in the dark feature is just an accidental benefit).
Thanks be to Barry for the magic of peer reviewed data.

Oh....I see they get to select the Nominee.
Well, that's where I'm confused. Why was it that everybody on the left was pretending that Evan screwed the Mommy Party?
I can understand that they figured he could probably win a third term, but they acted like he totally screwed them. In reality he did it in a way that might have saved them...No?
Or are they just whinning to put on a show, because the polling was telling them he was going to lose anyway?

I don't think this was it, but it is along the lines of what I was talking about. From a New York Slimes article in 1994 (though my recollection is from earlier):
The unmapped territory into which psychiatry can lead the courts became apparent earlier this year when a man on trial for rape in Arizona took the witness stand in a skirt, pink sweater, high heels and press-on nails.
The man, James Carlson, claimed to have 11 personalities, eight of which knew something about the crimes in question. So the defense called each one as a witness, including the lesbian prostitute in the powder-pink sweater.

Did you see this nugget further down in the article?
In 1990 a grocery worker from Oshkosh, Wis., was tried on charges that he raped a 26-year-old woman, who said she learned of the attack after two of her personalities told her that a third had had sex with the man. In court, six of the several dozen personalities claimed by the woman testified. At one point, the prosecutor and the judge recall, the woman even switched briefly into the personality of a dog.

Tamyra For Senate It is true I do not know much about your party because I am a Democrat. But, I do have respect for all parties and I think we all in our own way want to make our state and our country better. We are all united in that agenda even if we express ourselves differently from time to time.
Tamyra For Senate I want to personally say I am sorry to the people of the Tea Bag Party if I have offended your feelings in any way. I still do not understand the terms you are speaking about but when I asked someone they reported back to me they thought it was something graphic. That was never my intent because I had never heard that term before in my life.

I was skeptical, but Mom said she would mail it anyway. I think maybe there is some misinformation somewhere--either us, in what we had to do to get her signatures, or the courthouse, in thinking more steps are required. Either way it's annoying. If she wasn't going to challenge Bayh, why did she have any signatures at all? And if she was, why didn't she already have enough?
Then again, we were supporting her because she's an idiot and a kook, so what do you expect.

Washington Examiner:
In [The Audacity of Hope], Mr. Obama...attributes his 1996 victory to his message of hope, and his exhortations that Chicagoans drop their justifiable cynicism about politics...Mr. Obama writes that even if the voters were not impressed by this speech, "enough of them appreciated my earnestness and youthful swagger that I made it to the Illinois legislature."
In real life, it did not matter what Mr. Obama said on the stump or whether South Side voters were impressed. What mattered was that, beginning on Jan. 2, 1996, his campaigners began challenging thousands of petition signatures the other candidates in the race had submitted in order to appear on the ballot. Thus would Mr. Obama win his state Senate seat, months before a single vote was cast...
In the end, Mr. Obama disqualified all four opponents -- including the incumbent state senator, Alice Palmer, and three minor candidates. Ms. Palmer, a former ally of Mr. Obama, had gathered 1,580 signatures, more than twice the 757 required to appear on the ballot. A minor, perennial candidate had gathered 1,899 signatures, suggesting the Obama team invested much time working even against him.
