— DrewM Earlier today, I blogged about Sanchez's attacks on Jon Stewart during a radio interview that degenerated into an attack on "people like Stewart" and other networks, aka The Jews.
Looks like it's Network Running Jews 1- Rick Sanchez 0.
CNN released this statement today:“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.“
They will broadcast CNN Newsroom from 3-5pm for the foreseeable future.
As always, the man Sanchez killed while Driving Under the Influence could not be reached for comment.

What's amazing is that he ever ascended to this level in the first place.
I recieved an OUIL about 12 years ago driving back from a friend's house (no accident, just pulled over) after watching a football game. I blew a .012. It was a misdemeanor offense - I received a fine and had a restricted license for six months.
This well-earned misdemeanor almost cost me my career. I was extremely lucky that I had an outstanding work record to fall back on - if my bosses wouldn't have gone to bat for me, I would have been done.
Still, twelve years later, this mark on my record effectively prevents me from interviewing for a management position.
I'm not complaining. That's the price you pay for being a reckless idiot. I just cannot believe that Sanchez can commit vehicular manslaughter and end up making millions on CNN.

Doing that with Lost now. Did it previously with Sopranos, Rome, The Wire, The Shield, Nip/Tuck, 24, and Flight of the Conchords. Definitely the best way to watch that kind of show. Even better when the show is over and done with.
