— Dave in Texas Nothing.
He's ending his term as Florida's chief executive with little fanfare, and a handful of empty, meaningless gestures, including an odd grant of clemency for Jim Morrison's indecency conviction.
In his final cabinet meeting Tuesday, Crist and Florida's governing board approved a biomass energy plant to be constructed near Gainesville and honored a Labrador retriever named Ace on his retirement from the state fire marshal's office after a long and distinguished career sniffing out accelerants.
The Florida mid-terms were a trifecta of BOOYAH. That slimeball Alan Grayson got his ass kicked. Allen West will be sworn into Congress this January.
And this tiresome, pandering jackass Crist got kicked in the junk so hard his political career is finished.
Good riddance.
Also, congrats to Ace on the retirement, and go easy on the accelerants big guy.
SATURDAY FOOTBALL BONUS: One college game today, Army-Navy at 2:30 EST. Navy's got a better record, but I gotta pull for the Black Knights.

It was a bipartisan-ish affair on Thursday night at Woolly Mammoth Theatre. Twelve female senators (three Republicans, nine Democrats) came to see Chicago comedy troupe The Second City perform "A GirlÂ’s Guide to Washington Politics," which includes a roasting of many female pols including Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin and Nancy Pelosi.
In attendance: Sens. Claire McCaskill, Olympia Snowe, Blanche Lincoln, Maria E. Cantwell, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Mikulski, Debbie Stabenow, Jeanne Shaheen, Susan Collins, Kay Hagan, Amy Klobuchar and Lisa Murkowski.

--I don't like it either - but the racism in america demands it - the media is just slobbering over how great it was for them to be convinced by the white EX-preside
--I though my president , "the one" I voted for was looking like a school boy getting schooled in econ 101.
--It was sure good to see him up there taking questions. I find some measure of comfort from his words.
Reply: yea - all racist do - let the white man speak and they'll all believe him

Ah, one of the best, yet most contentious, days in the Unknown household. Our dream is to one day celebrate our anniversary taunting each other at opposite ends of the field. Last year my husband super glued my work gloves closed in revenge for calling him at work every time Navy scored. The year before that he put oatmeal in my riding boots as payback for the huge victory banner I strung across the front door. It's our little way of saying "I love you honey".
We're a "mixed" marriage...hopefully in a few hours I will be sitting next to my lovely husband's co-worker in front of the sports bar's big screen while jeering at my lovely husband during the annual Midshipmen's romp over the Black Nights. I will call up my two eldest here shortly and taunt them for a bit -- just to show I care.
Go Navy!

How to Tell the Difference Between the Branches of the US Armed Forces!
If you give the command "SECURE THE BUILDING", here is what the different services would do:
The NAVY would turn out the lights and lock the doors.
The ARMY would surround the building with defensive fortifications, tanks and concertina wire.
The MARINE CORPS would assault the building, using overlapping fields of fire from all appropriate points on the perimeter.
The AIR FORCE would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy the building.

The beauty part of the Climate Change Scam:
Twenty, fifty, a hundred years from now when the weather hasn't changed much at all, they can say, "See? See? Our "green" measures saved the planet!"
Posted by: Soothsayer for RNC Chair at December 11, 2010 01:30 PM (waTiq)
Yep, the perfect scam. If it remains steady then the measures are preventing it from getting worse. If the globe actually cools some then the measures are working. And if it increases then we need to do more. Everything requires us to keep giving. And since they just sort of fudge what the actual factors are its difficult to actually increase what we're doing and proving that it is not actually having much effect. And if that is the case they'll just shift the "coming catastrophe" another decade down the road.

I always laugh at all these corporations jumping on the 'go green' bandwagon. And they're usually the biggest polluters.
Take Poland Spring, for example. They produce obscene amounts of plastic bottles; have been doing so for years.
But now they have little guilt-lectures on their bottle's labels about 'going green' and how much Poland Spring is doing to save the planet. On their big trucks, they advertise how their fleet runs on bio-diesel or propane.
It's such a joke.

Underscoring what's at stake in the long-running climate talks, NASA reported that the January-November 2010 global temperatures were the warmest in the 131-year record. Its data indicated the year would likely end as the warmest on record, or tied with 2005 as the warmest.
Yeah, that "study" from the organization responsible for improving ties to Islam found 600°F temps in WI. IOW it is outright fraud. Of course AP conveniently forgets all the stuff that has come out PROVING what a fraud this is.

“The story line is how we worked with the Republicans and all that. But you know, we played political Kabuki for a year, had two government shutdowns; we can’t afford that now. The only reason we could do that is that the deficit was already coming down in a time when interest rates were the problem and the economy was coming back – people just didn’t feel it in ‘94.
We can’t afford that. We have got to pull together and both sides are gonna have to eat some things they don’t like because we cannot afford to have the kind of impasse that we had last time over a long period of time. We – we don’t want to slip back into a recession. We gotta keep this thing going and accelerate its pace. I think this [the current agreement] is the best available option.”

Wish I would've mentioned this in the Thanksgiving thread we had for service members, but today I attended one of the most emotional military events I think any Moron would be honored to attend.
Wreaths Across America was held today in military cemeteries coast to coast. One man in Mass. started with the idea of decorating the graves of our fallen military by using hiw retirement money to provide as many wreaths as he could afford, and it's grown to hundreds of thousands. FOX News Sunday has done segments on the effort for the past few years, and they'll most likely run it tomorrow if they decide to for this year.
The cost of each wreath is $15, and next year's campaign starts June 15. Tractor trailers deliver boxes of wreaths and volunteers place them on the graves of the fallen. My friend and I knew we were in the right location when we heard the roar of the Legion's bikers rolling down the street.
The local boy scouts and girl scouts participated in the ceremony, which included presentation of the colors, a 21-gun salute, speeches and the acknowledgement of each branch of the service as well as MIAs/POWs from those who either represented or retired from each branch as well as one retired colonel who was held as a POW for years.
Sorry for taking up all this space, but knowing you guys, you might want to mark your calendars for this next year. We had 400 wreaths to place at the cemetery we went to; we could've used about three times that, but it's a start.

Never heard of that but I guess it is possible. When I was on the Enterprise the only place you could get Enterprise shoulder patches was at the ship's store. So you would have had to be there to get one.
That being said, if I remember correctly my personnel file didn't list "Enterprise" patch either as a badge. Had all the rest though.
So what's the answer to above question?

- First, the idea for committing the crime came from the government agents and not from the person accused of the crime.
- Second, the government agents then persuaded or talked the person into committing the crime. Simply giving him the opportunity to commit the crime is not the same as persuading him to commit the crime.
- And third, the person was not ready and willing to commit the crime before the government agents spoke with him.
All of the recent cases fail the entrapment test on the first score because the "muzzies" were actively planning the job before the FBI entered the picture. Also fail on the other two. As the FBI said in the first case in NY, he had ample opportunity to back out at multiple steps along the way.

It's the New York State Thruway from New York City to Albany, then the Adirondack Northway from Albany to Canada.

The childish gags would have been more tolerable had Kate Capshaw been successfully sacrificed to Kali.
I would prefer to have glass rods shoved down my urethra than listen to her screeching voice for any extended period of time, say 5 seconds.
