I want my soldiers sleeping, cleaning, fucking or fighting.

May look a little Gay but the soldier who came up with the idea is married and graduated from a Christian academy. From The Smoking Gun..."The video's cinematographer, Douglas Lake, termed the clip "funny as shit" in a message Wednesday on his Facebook page. Lake added, "I couldnt stop laughin while I recorded it lol."

I dunno. I think it may put the fear of God into the enemy -- that's what matters.
I'm reminded of the scene from The Battle of the Bulge (one of the all-time best WWII movies, imho) where the German commander, upon discovering a chocolate cake with a captured prisoner, comments on how this means the Americans have the resources to fly cakes across the Atlantic.
Same thing here. These are the benefits of a high-tech military.

I think it's funny as hell. There are a lot of these videos of soldiers dancing and the like in the midst of combat zones. I don't know why they do it, but it's extremely awesome.
So good on them. Have fun.
But most of all - Stay Safe, my friends.

Nothing wrong with soldiers having a bit of fun, especially if it boosts morale. The video's funny. I didn't get too much of a ghey vibe from them doing this, but it came close *shivers*.

The stuff that really pisses me off is the soldiers getting knocked up while deployed. That is much more serious and says something about poor discipline from both the women and the men.

Here's an update on the Mass. Gov's race, a.k.a. as lil Obama's reelection test. We have a shithead for a Republican on the ticket who is running a terrible campaign and thought it would be a good political move to snub the Tea Party rally earlier this month.
Before Baker, the Republican, entered the race, our treasurer switched from (D) to (I) and entered the race. This guy, Cahill, is thought to be in the race to act as a spoiler, but I don't think so. And he's running a better campaign than Baker.
The way it stands now, if both of these selfish turds stay in the race, we get Deval Patrick for another 4 years, winning with 35% of the vote.
And if that happens, expect to see it happen in 2012, too. I have no doubt that a Libertarian or Independent or both will run in 2012 and take away a substantial % of the votes, especially if the GOP nominee is as lame as McCain.

Even better than just recovering. As the Indonesian Imbecile just babbled:
"'In the first quarter of last year, our economy shrank at a rate of 6.4 percent. Today, we learned that in the first quarter of this year, our economy grew at a rate of 3.2 percent."
Keeping in mind that The Precedent doesn't understand fractions or percentages, which is, once again, proudly displayed in the following:
"...What this number means is that our economy as a whole is in a much better place than it was one year ago."
Okey doke, Einstein. "Plus" is good. "Minus" is bad. But, do you actually know what it all means?
"The economy that shrank for four quarters in a row has now
grown for three quarters in a row."
Spending a trillion and a half dollars, along with the Fed printing money (one and a quarter trillion a year ago) and swapping out cash for worthless bundles of toxic assets will put a little growth in. But at what cost and how long can that effect be expected to continue without the constant federal money?
"And that growth has been a condition
for job growth"
Huh? What the hell does this mean? I guess to someone who doesn't understand fractions or percentages it sounds pretty smart. To normal people, it just smarts, intellectually.
"-– the economy that was losing jobs a year ago is creating jobs today.'"
"Creating jobs"? Now, the Imbecile can't even understand integers. Did anyone call the Indonesian Imbecile out on this utter stupidty? Not that I've heard.

Well, just to switch subjects to get everyones' minds off of that evil link that Wyatt posted, if anyone wants to gander at the big old racetrack up the road from me there is an Indy race at the Kansas City Speedway today. ABC is showing it. And since it's supposed to rain today, could be fairly interesting.
I'm not into NASCAR, but I will watch Indy racing. Probably from growing up watching the Indy 500 that ABC Wide World of Sports used to show. That, and the fact the company I work for is a major sponsor of one of the cars.

Let Us All Pray for Barrak Obama
I pray your brakes go out runnin' down a hill
I pray a flower pot falls from a window sill
And knocks you in the head like I'd like to
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flyin' high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are, honey, I pray for you
I pray your tire goes out at 110
I pray you pass out drunk with your best friend
And wake up with his and her tattoos
I pray your brakes go out runnin' down a hill
I pray a flower pot falls from a window sill
And knocks you in the head like I'd like to
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flyin' high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are, near or far
In your house or in your car
Wherever you are, honey, I pray for you
I pray for you

Kemp, do you know how much money that Burger King makes? They had one for us in Camp Doha as well. It perpetually has a line going around the chow hall and out the PX doors. Because people get tired of eating canned bullshit in the middle of moon-dust land. If it costs the government anything (which I doubt) it's the last in a laundry list of half a million things that we could cut first.
Also you can shove it up your ass with the "harumph they should be marching around and having no fun" bullshit. I do hope you were kidding.

r.e. 109: "I suppose it really doesn't need to be said but WWII happened before the whole internet thing so the silly skits that those soldiers put on are lost to time. "
Not entirely. If you get a copy of "Victory at Sea" (available on DVD from the History channel) you'll see soldiers and marines doing similar things. Not imitating music videos, as they didn't exist. But putting together bands to play swing music onboard the troopships, and dancing with each other.
I suppose bored young men, a long way from home, have been recreating whatever passes for pop-culture with whatever is available as long as warfare existed.
