— Russ from Winterset OK, we all know that Islam has some "interesting" ideas about how to live your life.
If a woman is raped, but she cannot find not one, but two MALE witnesses willing to testify that she was raped, she will be found guilty of adultery and stoned to death.
If your daughter is too friendly with a Christian or Hindu young man, religious leaders not only allow you to kill her, but they ENCOURAGE the murder.
If you compare two Muslim men; one is a civil engineer who works his ass off to bring people into the 20th century with indoor plumbing, adequate roads and properly treated drinking water, and the other is some moke who straps Semtex to his body and blows up spectacularly on a bus full of Jews...........the splodeydope is the one who is celebrated and will (supposedly) be rewarded with 72 virgins in the afterlife.
All that being said, today's news makes me think that Islam isn't COMPLETELY crazy. Thanks to the United Arab Emirates, we now have a Fatwa (Fatwa #11625 if you're keeping score at home) against..........vuvuzelas.
Maybe they're right.......we're not that different after all?

Turned out it had gotten into some cracked corn. Took it down yesterday and fed it a little bit of hay. Went to take care of it this AM and there was a huge, glorious turd in the stall. He's fine. My daughter was scared to death it was gonna blow a stream right there in front of everybody and get booted out.
Still not feeling so good, bloated and stuff, but getting much better.

Speaking of Moose Limbs, anyone watching Holder lie his ass off on "Face the Nation".
Pure comedy. The live audience is laughing at him.

Is that hyperbole, or are they actually laughing at them? I don't watch the sunday morning shows, since my kids have the TV. But Phineas and Ferb is nearly as newsworthy as the crap they usually have on those shows, so I'm not all that disappointed.

Another strange Muslim belief is that if you feel that a foreign nation is offensive to you and yours, it is Okay to murder a passenger aircraft's crew and fly the plane and it's innocent passengers into the foreign countries buildings, killing even more people indiscriminatly.
really...that's what they believe.
Torabora believes that total war needs launched against this culture until IT breathes no more. Sadly, he is a minority so the response is another long dragged out brush fire war that will cost trillion$$$, many thousands of our sides people will die in the fight, and take decades to resolve.
If Mecca and Medina were gone...this would roll up fast.

Holder was laughed at when he gave Clintonian lawyerese answers to questions that weren't asked. Douchebag interviewer let him off the hook, and didn't mention anything about Holder's love of the Black Panther Party.
Typical.

Lymph infections can be very tricky and serious.
It's usually due to staph (esp around animals)
Best if they draw some fluid and test.
If it's the same node or group of nodes in a limb they can be a lifelong problem.
Godspeed

What I've also noticed is that it isn't so much religion that people find unsavory, but puritanism. The UAE bans vuvuzelas. Why? Because they are annoying and because the imams can do it.
But it's the same impulse that bans transfats or plastic bags or soda pop.

75 Islam is inherently incompatible to any sort of civilized, polite, and freedom loving society -- fini.
Although this vuvuzela fatwa is the only sensible one I've yet read about -- a sensible fatwa...has anyone checked to see if there are four, ghostly riders scampering about?

You really are a good bunch of morons.
Doc keeping her on a regiment of augmentin for now. Big reason she went to Urgent Care was because of severe pain in the other ear. (Lymph infection along jawline, ear pain opposite ear). Ear pain: swimmers ear, of course.......
And Baldilocks, she is as tough as Nancy Pelosi's face leather. If she says "I don't feel very good", might as well just head straight to the ER, because she's sick.
Thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers.

Of course.
Just another illustration of the birds of a feather connection between Islam and Progressives....both want take away personal decisions and control every aspect of your life.
Ummm, ok. So, say we take the personal responsibility route instead. Blow your vuvuzela in my ear and damage my hearing while I'm at a public event I paid to attend. I'll then take said musical instrument and stuff it straight up your ass and let the ER surgeon sort out the damage.
With rights, comes responsibility.

It's way more than 11,000 fatwas. Every damn imam can issue a fatwa on anything from jerking off to planing a bomb in your butt, perhaps both at the same time. Search Ask the Imam for the giggles if nothing else. But learn a lot by accident.

Yes.
It's the government (federal, state and local) infringements on liberty which have set the table for this--not just the infringements carried out by the Obama Administrations, but all of the others, pretty much since the Civil War.

Despite all of advancements we as a society are not that removed from the Salem Witch Trials. back in the 80's we spent 15 million on a trial because some alcoholic schizo mother accused a daycare center of molesting her son in underground satanic rituals. After 5 years they did not even find a food code infraction, this case was caused by the satanic abuse panic that was caused by a book we later found out to be a hoax. We fell for it because a large section of our population still lives in fear of a mystical, goat hoofed crazy man who lives underground and punishes those a Loving God send to him for their sins.
IN 3000 Years the descendants of the remains of your civilization will have a religion base on a book that is noting more than the collected scraps of DC comics. We will have archeologists digging up ruins to find the REAL Metropolis and Gothan City and have debates on how SUPERMAN was able to have these amazing powers. Anyone who dares to call these ancient stories as FICTION will be called heretics and punished.
So far here is what organized religion has given us. Irrational Fear, Persecutions, Intolerance, genocides, unequal monarchical societies, slavery, mistreatment of women and children and slavery.
Here is what modern science and reason has given us....
Representative Democracy, Vaccinations for Measles, Smallpox and many other diseases that killed people back in the biblical ages. Leprosy was a major disease in biblical times, it is pretty much wiped out in advanced western countries, Was it the result of the total adherence to the faith in jesus? No it was adherence to proper sanitation, hygiene and nutrition.

Not necessarily mutually exclusive.
"Faith is the beginning of wisdom, [not the end.]" --Solomon, son of David, King of Israel (apparently, one of ST: VI's writers had been cribbing Proverbs for dialogue).

Don't you thing that it just might be a bit more than a mere coincidence that these things developed only in a society characterized by "the faith in Jesus"?
And FYI: the slavery canard is beneath you. Slavery was banned only in the West, by Charlemagne, the Norse, the Crusaders, the English parliament, the Massachusetts colonial authorities, the Union army, the British/French/American navies, &c. solely on the grounds that it was an un-, and indeed anti-Christian institution.

Meanwhile organized atheism has merely given us: the Gulag, the Holodomor, the Lao Gai, and the nightmare that is North Korea.

What bothers me are others who force their beliefs on others. THere are so many things I don't like about Islam, but I don't like the western civilization trying to break-up their beliefs & try to get them to conform to our beliefs.
Missionaries did that in Africa by destroying local religions & then 'civilized' the natives by teaching them how to be good house servants. Those local religious treasures are now lost. Are we now trying to do this with Islam?
I sure don't want Islamic people coming to my hometown & forcing me to change my religious beliefs so why are we judging their ideas?
This is probably the main cause of why the world population hates us. We are always forcing our beliefs, MTV, drugs into their culture.
