Shock: "Head Stompee" Now Lying About Her Martyrdom on Olbermann
— Ace

At POWIP, video of the girl rushing to Rand Paul's car and, yes, assaulting him, by pushing a placard against his face.

Yes, that's assault and battery. You cannot just reach out and touch whoever you like. Particularly when you're doing so in a menacing manner -- like running up to an open car window while wearing a disguise to hide your appearance.

They allowed her to commit assault once -- how many times should she be permitted to commit? When she rushed him a second time -- her intentions already made clear by the first assault -- should she have been permitted to re-offend?

I wonder if liberals would appreciate Tea Partiers doing this sort of thing with their candidates. Or if they'd take it as provocative, violative, and possibly dangerous -- when a crazed person rushes at you, you don't know what their intentions are, do you?

And on Olby, of course she lies and claims she just wanted to "give" the sign to Paul. She omits the rushing-the-car-and-pushing-a-stiff-placard-against-his-face-through-his-open-window part.

Having done that already, she attempted to rush Paul again, at which point people restrained her, and good on them.

I bought into the spin. Sorry again. The only thing that was done wrong here was the guy gratuitously putting his foot on her head (for a second) before moving it to her shoulder. That seemed like a little bit of payback. Not much, but unnecessary.

But as for the people blocking her? Well done. We don't let disguised people rush at politicians.

If any liberal wishes to dispute me on the point then please name a Democrat politician currently ahead in the polls who you will grant us all permission to rush at menacingly.

And then we'll see how much you really want to stand behind this bullshit assassin-friendly "rule" you've concocted.

I bought into the spin. Sorry again.

I understand. Mentally, you know they lie. But your sense of fair play always gets in the way. When you're right, you want to explain not only that you're right but why you're right, figuring that if the other guy is intellectually honest he might see merit in your way of thinking.

But the other guy ins't intellectually honest. He's not honest at all.

11 That second video brought context. Fact is, crazy righties exist too. If both sides calmed down and said, "yeah, sometimes things get out of hand and we should prosecute both" then it would be fine. But knowing about Gladney, and then seeing the MSM go apeshit over this chick is very telling. ALSO TO ALL THE LEFTY FUCKSTICKS OUT THERE - JUST BECAUSE THERE IS NOT GREAT FOOTAGE OF GLADNEY BEING ROUGHED UP DOES NOT MEAN IT DID NOT HAPPEN. Shit. Did I just go all cap? My bad.

13 Here's what the spin does.  It gets the actions of a fool like Profitt to negate the actions of an agitator. It needs to be repeated to people that what VAlle did was a violation of the law and she does not get off because one person did something wrong.

22 And, sadly, the real "lesson" here (or, at least, the only one that will actually be absorbed by those who might not already have known) is: don't step on someone's head.

This is hard?

I haven't seen the video, I've read lots of different takes on it, but remember that all of this is based on hear-say from this (and other) sites- so, if I'm wrong about some of the facts, please be gentle.

She was wrong to do what she did (and, if she'd tried it on, say, the current or a former President, the Secret Service may well have just shot her).  Everyone else was justified in preventing a second "encounter" but once she was on the ground, she was no longer a credible threat- it was not necessary to "restrain" her in any way- certainly not with a boot to the head.

The lessons which should be learned are:
1) Don't rush up to a politician and push something in through their open window- that's dumb.
2) Having failed to obey #1, don't do it - again
3) Someone having failed numbers 1 & 2, then having been appropriately prevented, don't step on them unless they are specifically showing some signs of trying to fail at #2 again.

That's two lessons for the lady, one for the guy.  Which of the three do you believe will be absorbed?

Posted by: AllenG at October 28, 2010 08:13 AM (8y9MW)

23 I think Paul's supporters were overly enthusiastic, but they weren't totally out of line in wanting to "reach out at touch someone".  Hey - she invaded the candidate's space in a threatening manner, and there are lots of crazies out there.

25 She tried a Sirhan Sirhan on Rand Paul (without the gun), and she got her lumps for it. The last time I had to take down a woman it was a lot rougher than that. (And she tried the old, "I'm pregnant" trick. Claimed she was 5 months pregnant. I reminded her that the last time I arrested her was less than four months before and she had claimed to be 5 months pregnant then to. Drugs make you stupid.)

Of course referencing Sirhan Sirhan wont scare off the libs considering how well Obama thinks of Ayers who dedicated one of his books to the assassin.

Ace:

I had an epiphany a few years back, when going through a divorce...

When we judge other people, we do it through the perception of who WE are...

If you are a liar, you always expect other people to lie, because thats what you would do... if you are a cheater or have incliniations that way, you will always suspect others of cheating...

But if you are an honest, reasonable, truthfull person... your first instinct is to think of others that way.

Thats one reason the Right has such a problem with the Left... we really can't believe they would be doing some of these things out of malice, because we certainly would not do them... yet the Left, is ALWAYS in accusation mode, because they WOULD do them...

Sad... but its almos a rule of human nature.

44 ystanders held a woman to the ground after she attempted to shove a sign at a politician in a Palookaville campaign stop yesterday. “She rushed the candidate several times,” said one bystander. “We thought she was dangerous.” Colleagues of the woman, a Miss Emily Litella who by sheer coincidence is an activist known for provocative incidents, criticized the crowd’s reaction. “Holding her down like that was completely unnecessary,” complained one activist. Another of Miss Litella’s colleagues agreed. “Seriously, why hold her down? The Secret Service had already shot her three times.” It turned out that the politician was not an obscure Senate candidate, but rather the President, who was also in town to campaign for the upcoming elections. Miss Litella could not be reached; our technicians believe that six feet of dirt and stone are interfering with cell signal strength. Friends were quoted as saying “Never Mind. She’s with Aqua Buddha now.”

I think this is a stretch. Unless she was trying to poke his eye out with the corner of the cardboard sign. The KY code only defines 'deadly weapon' (and it doesn't fit the definition) -or- there's dangerious instrument (again it doesn't fit). Has to be capable of 'causing death or serious physical injury)

I think battery would work though.

FWIW, I was proud of Ann Althouse sticking to her guns on her assessment.  As it turned out, she was right.  She laid out two scenarios: set up (which I don't think is completely wrong, btw, since I still have no idea who the filmographer was and how/why s/he photographed the incident the way s/he did) or Paul supporters restraining a threatening person who was behaving unpredictably.  The latter proved correct.

It's real freakin' easy to criticize an assault situation with the benefit of hindsight.

In the heat of the moment, when you don't have anywhere near enough information like - is the attacker armed with a deadly weapon?  Is the attacker alone? Is she going to try and bite you with her plague-infected mouth? - then I'd say this woman should be thankful she didn't end up with serious injuries from her little stunt.

I'm having a hard time finding significant fault on Paul supporters here.

82 So all the media who only showed her being held down, as opposed to running at Paul twice, are now going to excoriate themselves for showing the video out of context a la Shirley Sherrod, right?

84 Unfortunately, we put a loser w/a mob background up against him.

How?  Gotta be a RINO.  The Dems have the mobs all sewn up.

But seriously, when we were looking for candidates, a lot of these Dem seats looked safe.  So these guys were tokens.

86 I'm sure it's been pointed out but if she did this to Obama the Secret Service would have tackled her and not been nice. And if she actually managed to attack Obama the way she did Paul she'd be dead. Honestly I have no sympathy for this woman. And not only because she physically assaulted someone. The left has beaten up some poor guy selling t-shirts. Bit the finger off another. Sent Black Panther terrorists to intimidate voters at the polling booth. They send Acorn to frighten children at banker's homes. Every semi-famous conservative gets massive death threats. The President is best friends with the mad bomber Ayers. Soros is pushing for complete collapse of our economy for his profit (and cause he's a Nazi) which will lead to complete anarchy and horrendous violence. Seriously the heads of the American Left gathering together must look like a meeting fo the Legion of Doom from the Super Friends tv show. So if some Acorn, SEIU, or Code Pink nut job gets beat up I feel no pity for them. They drew first blood.

87 If any liberal wishes to dispute me on the point then please name a Democrat politician currently ahead in the polls who you will grant us all permission to rush at menacingly. No, see, that's different because all you right wing tea party types are crazy and prone to violence, not like all us peaceful liberals who are merely expressing our first amendment rights.

91 Went looking for the "what's your name boy?" video and couldn't find (kept getting video not found and  503 messages) it but it is apropos to this subject:  "Etheridge is guilty of criminal assault under Washington D.C. law. DC Criminal Code §22-404(a)(1) dictates, “Whoever unlawfully assaults, or threatens another in a menacing manner, shall be fined not more than $1,000 or be imprisoned not more than 180 days, or both.” Generally, assault requires four elements: (1) ability to carry out a threat (i.e. Stephen Hawking threatening you with a personal kick to the jaw would probably not constitute assault); (2) an unlawful attempt (the perp actually has to try to do something); (3) to commit a violent injury; (4) upon someone else (you canÂ’t assault yourself – duh)."  link

And speaking of assault, have you guys thought about your reaction when, on election day, some thug tries to intimidate some "sweet little old broad" into not going into some polling place and casting her vote only to find out that the "sweet little old broad" likes to give martial arts instruction on the fly?

92 Let me preface this with the fact that I haven't seen the videos nor read the accounts, have only heard what the MSM is pushing and what they are pushing is paul's opponent saying he is anti woman and that women should rise up over this, so he got his little commercial.   Heard also that paul fired the guy who did the "alleged stomping".  The firing is interesting cause usually the dems don't fire for stuff like this which led me to believe that the "alleged stomper" and the "alleged stompee" were somehow in collusion and in fact knew one another and this might have been a well coordinated scam.  Now, that only my humble opinion having gotten ALL OF MY FACTS FROM THE MSM......

This dumb broad reminds me of those crazy old hags at Code Stink.  Wouldn't surprise me if she wasn't a member.  What worries me is election day.  I have an uneasy feeling that there is going to be a whole lot of Panther/SEIU shit going to be tried....question is, how are we going to respond this time?

For me, a very sharply pointed umbrella and my camera at the ready.

98 Hey, I know. Let's all rush Obama and hand him an award for destroying the country. And we can all put on disguises to do it! Wouldn't that be a hoot? Why, the Secret Service would laugh themselves silly. I'm sure the MFM would laugh too and probably turn the video into Emmy material.

So, here's the plan. When Obama (or Pelosi or Reid et al.) show up in public, give 'em the bum's rush. Fun for everyone!

99 We also get dipshits like Chris Matthews ignoring the radical activist actions and instead pushing the talking point that this "head-stomping" is "right-wing by its very nature". The MF-ing media is doing all they can to lie and smear in order to help Democrats.

97 I'm fortunate, because I live in a relatively rural area.  The only stomping that goes on is for something important: like who was caught sleepin' with somebody's spouse, or who was caught cheatin' at pool at the bar Friday night.

However, for the rest of you, I would recommend being situationally aware, carrying your cell phone recorder thingys, and looking out for your fellow, weaker voters.

It bothers me that most of these idiots (like rage girl here), having never known true violence, are all too eager to engage in it. [although in fairness, the guy shouldn't have put himself in a position to get videotaped with his foot on her -- hold her down, yes, but don't compromise yourself; that was foolish]

My constitution is sorely vexed when I read the bilous outpourings of your black, capitalist hearts, Morons. Your noxious attempts to justify the unwarranted and brutal curb-stomping of a frail, innocent girl are repugnant.

Fie, you jack-booted menaces, with your unlettered speech and conspicuously absent terminal g-sounds! Cads! Bumpkins!

This brave young flower merely exercised her patriotic, democratic duty to Speak Truth to Power! For this, she was forcefully molested! Shame! A thousand wonders she now lives, after so violent an assault.

Truly, I say, you are all abhorrent! Good day, sirs!

105 I like the way that people who don't look at half a video in the stupidest way possible like Palooka did are supposed to think they are somehow disgusting. Never trust your own lying eyes. Check with some loudly shrieking, liberal asshole with an obvious axe to grind first. LOL. Two videos of a known confrontational activist doing a dumb stunt where she rushes an SUV and sticks a sign in the window twice and then runs around the car to try AGAIN and then gets tackled and has a foot put on her shoulder and immediately taken off when another Paul Supporter objects is NOT the same as a peaceful polite respectful innocent protester getting their head head stomped. No amount of dumb bullshit distortion will make those two things the same. No amount of dumb distortion can make people who have actually SEEN these two videos feel any real shame at what happened. And then when you consider that the guy who did it said he may have over reacted and was then fired by Paul and had his actions condemned by Paul THAT NIGHT, it makes the current "nazi head stomp" bullshit narrative look EVEN STUPIDER. It makes the dim people who try to pass it off as "the truth" look stupid dishonest, uniformed or just mentally unreliable. This kind of weak, dumb, stoked up, overblown, barely even plausible, half-truth shit is why the left is having more and more trouble finding anyone who believes them anymore when they cry foul. People have seen you oafs pull this kind of crap TOO MANY TIMES to forget that you lie and distort a lot for very short term gains. Palooka you are either a delusional brainwashed nitwit who sees whatever he is ordered to see and hears "boy" sliently tacked onto "you lie", a thick -skulled uninformed dupe repeating crap from your whoever leads your local echo chamber, or a sad, ridiculous, desperate fucking liar who has no idea how stupid this looks to other people not in your group ( who fully expect what you say to be a lie or distortion and so now habitually check out everything you say any time you make an emotionally charged accusation) . You are almost certainly one of those three pitiful things. So which is it? It doesn't matter. If the right was as violent as you claim you'd be making excuses to avoid confrontations with us, like you do with radical islamists, or totalitarian socialist thug nations. The fact that you confront us with this shit shows that you understand that we are NOT violent. We do not trigger your instinct to pussy out and avoid conflict at all costs. But you know that we are basically decent people with a lot of self control so you try to intimidate us instead with these pitiful accusations and bullshit distortions. Voting your heroes out is going to feel SO GOOD on Tueday. So good. Now, go and hide behind Keith Olberman, John Stewart, and Steven Colbert....quickly!.... while you can still believe that they (and some election fraud too maybe) will somehow miraculously keep your favorite corrupt, amoral, elitist screw-ups in power with their goofy dog and pony shows. Savor the illusion while it lasts.

106 Palooka you have no idea what a curb stomp is. It ain't having a foot on your shoulder. Sorry. Not even in your made up bullshit version of the world. You won't convince anybody with a brain that that was actually a curb stomp. But keep trying tool bag.

Liberals lie about everything. They claim Bush stole the 2000 election - they know it's a lie, but it's what they want people to believe, so they say it anyway.

This was an instant Liberal Lie Hit, top of the charts, and ten years from now it will be part of their Popular Narrative no matter how disproven it is.

The only, ONLY way to get a little peace and quiet will be to marginalize them so badly (and this goes for the MFM, too) that the only time they ever get to complete a sentence is when they're huddled in a small circle around a burning trash can in a dark alley.

Liberals ABSOLUTELY will not stop lying, you can't make them, period.
