Some Pudding For You
— LauraW

We've played this one before, more than once.
But I hope you Morons agree that this is an oldie that just keeps getting better with age.

Dip 'em if you got 'em.

UPDATE: Sorry about the double-post...it still shows up as only one post in Pixy's editing menu. There doesn't appear to be anything I can do about it.
I so confuzzled.

It's Abraham Lincoln's birthday today.  Truly tragic to think that this facile schmuck is the inheritor of his legacy.

Imagine, Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address was reportedly delivered without a teleprompter:

The Almighty has His own purposes. "Woe unto the world because of offenses; for it must needs be that offenses come, but woe to that man by whom the offense cometh." If we shall suppose that American slavery is one of those offenses which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now wills to remove, and that He gives to both North and South this terrible war as the woe due to those by whom the offense came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said "the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether."

42 What really sucks it canceling the Ares rocket. Zero heavy lift capability.

Actually, that's about the only smart thing this stupid f*cking administration has done suggested (since Congress still has to approve). Constellation was a disaster, a completely wasteful clusterf*ck. If the idea is to get humans into space, then a) you want to encourage private companies and b) you don't really need heavy lift ... at least not to start.

I  like this part from the article:

Referring to Obama’s quote from “Dreams from My Father” that he associated with Marxist professors, Drew says, “What he’s not saying is that he was in 100 percent total agreement with those Marxist professors. When you understand that, Obama’s later associations and policies make more sense, including why he was taken in by Rev. Wright’s ideology.”

In 1983 and 1984, Drew says he came to realize that his own Marxist views were rubbish. He now considers himself a conservative.

A guy here my wife met who runs one of the local actor's cabaret/stage theater told her he used to be in Hollywood but the only parts he could get were 'Thug #3' and '2nd Deranged Hoodlum on the left' because he looked the part, i.e. he just naturally looks like a bad-ass tough guy. So he grew disgusted at never being given the opportunity to do any real acting and quit Hollywood. Now he's quite happy running the local actors' theater doing stage plays.

but the only parts he could get were 'Thug #3' and '2nd Deranged Hoodlum on the left' because he looked the part, i.e. he just naturally looks like a bad-ass tough guy.

A writer I knew back in L.A. was a good friend of Henry Silva. The writer told me that the reason Silva always looked so bad-ass on TV and in the movies is that basically he had really bad vision, wore incredibally thick glasses in real life (which he refused to be filmed with), but wouldn't wear contacts.

So when he gave those big, black eyed stares, that was the reason.

And yes, most of those actors at that level are mostly peoples like you and I.

Mostly...
