— Maetenloch Just for all you special moron types who actually bother to read the ONT items.
Remember: Do NOT talk about Secret ONT Club!
If this is your first time on a Secret ONT, you HAVE TO de-lurk.
And so I offer you some classic Shat: How Insensitive
And a V8 Supercar Exploding. Just cause I like explosions.
And a video I thought a little too insensitive for the ordinary ONT: "Wheelchair Rapist"
Contains Magical Negro. Key phrase: "If you can rape a midget, you can go anywhere."
Maybe more to come later on...
Plus here is the official Secret ONT Club cipher.

So relax, plot and connive, slander the other lesser morons, and revel in your specialness. And feel free to post your booby pics since you no longer held down by the regular hoi polloi who just can't handle this much ONT goodness.
You may now set your smugness to 11. And your pants level to 0.

Been there. Mine was auburn, then darkened so that it was brownish unless in the sunlight getting redder during the summer and now fading in places to blond. What color is it? Brownish auburn with blond highlights. Driver's license, I put red just because I don't want to be "brown" (dull) or "blond" (bleached/stupid/run of the mill).

Fun story, I was evaluating a school today, and the teachers were complaining about not having the ability to suspend a kid without running it through a bureaucracy first, not 15 minutes after they discussed striking during a school day and calling Cali reps to put pressure on them to raise taxes. It's like they don't even understand the wages of liberalism.

We almost lost the ability to have pot-lucks. Several years ago another dept had one, and the next 2 days everyone was out with food poisoning. Whole dept basically closed. Admins had a confab about no more pot-lucks. They've crept back over time and administration has turned a blind eye our obvious flaunting of the rule.

That is very possible. I was even worried at one point that Khameini himself was getting into the 12th Imam mindset. He's dangeous, but a "12th-er" Khameini is even more dangerous.

Could be why they never finished the basement. It costs around $5-15k to have a basement moisture abatement system put in. Basically, they jackhammer a trench all around the basement inside walls and put in drain pipes, which are then tied into the sump.
I have a buddy that used to sell the systems.

Posted by: robtr at May 05, 2011 08:25 PM (MtwBb)
Sure! Here you go:
Spinach Artichoke Dip
1 box frozen spinach
1 can artichoke hearts (in water), chopped
1 cup whipped cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Preheat over to 325º. Thaw and drain spinach. (Squeeze out as much water from the spinach as you can.) Mix all in an oven-safe dish. Salt and pepper to taste.* Sprinkle any extra shredded cheese on top. Bake for 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
*I find it doesn't really need salt and pepper but that's just me.

Your footing drains probably tie into a storm drain in the alley then. If you have a garage door into your basement that will let humid air into it in the summer. The dampness is probably condensation if it isn't damp in winter spring and fall. If it leaks it will do it everytime it rains not just in the summer.
You can probably buy a dehumidifier and get rid of the dampness.
That's my expert opinion from what I can see over the intertubes, have your inspector check it out and question the homeowner. As them if it leaks.

We'll be there in a couple of weeks. It's one of those odd things.....last summer, there was an exhibition of works from the Musee d'Orsay in Paris that came to San Francisco. Unlike most traveling art exhibits -- where they clean out the attic and basement -- it wouldn't have cut into the d'Orsay's attendance for their main works to be elsewhere, 'cause they had to severely gut the place and rebuild it and everyone inside had to have a hard-hat. So they sent the good stuff.
That got us thinking about some of the places we've been and things we've done. We've both been to the Louvre; B's been to the Prado while I haven't; we've been to the Uffizi and the NY Met....but there's always one you hear about but nobody ever goes to......
It's the largest art museum in the world, and by all accounts is spectacular, but it's not easy to get to and was closed off for many years -- the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg. So we decided to go.
You still need a visa. Everyone in the EU has a short form and $50. If you're from the US, UK, or Georgia, it's a two-pager and $140 -- mind you, they were bombing Georgia not so long ago and the relationship with the UK is still tainted with Polonium. To be lumped in similar company made me feel warm inside.
