Sorta Neat Vid
— Ace

The world looks different from the tip of a sword.

Kind of makes the swords look like those stupid giant anime blades.

This was supposed to be a sidebar entry but I accidentally posted it here, so I'm making a post out of it.

1 Cool, but it needs a warning label for epileptics and pregnant women.  (Nausea-inducing)

2 Very cool.  Funny how it looks like the sword is holding still and the wielders are holding on for dear life.

3 Neat! But I couldn't get through the whole thing, made me dizzy.

Posted by: Lilikoi at December 29, 2010 11:12 AM (qQU5j)

4 Wait, there were no skandis or hobos injured in the making of this film. That's so wrong.

5 He should lop some heads or at least a watermelon.

6 Interesting.   Lets mount cameras to the tips, or battle edges, of other weapons.

Posted by: Kratos (Ghost of Sparta) at December 29, 2010 11:13 AM (9hSKh)

7 @5 that was my line. But watermelons are raaaacist.

10 I got a weapon tip they can mount a camera on, heh heh!

11 You know. After you attach a camera to a sword, maybe you should do something with it like slice something.

Posted by: FlaviusJulius at December 29, 2010 11:14 AM (SJ6/3)

12 O/T, but someone last night was inquiring about Utah.  It's tops for business.

Which reminds me of Steve Forbes.  Has his name been floated for anything?  I've heard him speak and although he was wrong about some things, he seemed quite sensible about others.

How about through a Jihadist's torso?

That could be the scope of an entire Tarantino film.

Posted by: Kratos (Ghost of Sparta) at December 29, 2010 11:17 AM (9hSKh)

17 Have you ever done a double post with no title?

Ladies, please eat.

(not linking pics to her. it's far too disgusting. you can bing them for yourselves. but she was 28 yrs old. did she look 28 to you? sad.)

19 After reading the sidebar, new name for Jihadists:

Toonophobes.

Mock mercilessly.

20 Interesting.  Whats cool is how little movement you actually see from the swordsmen.

21 How about through a Jihadist's torso?

Horizontally or vertically?

Posted by: Methos at December 29, 2010 11:20 AM (Ew1k4)

22 Forbes already took his shellacking.  I don't think he's interested any more.

Posted by: AllenG (Dedicated Tenther) at December 29, 2010 11:25 AM (8y9MW)

23 Reminds me of those rides at DW that are chambers on a rocking platform with a movie projected in front of you.

New Disney engineer:  "Hey, I have a great idea.  Let's lock a bunch of people up in a tiny room and jiggle them til they vomit."

Yes!

27 Radiohead did a video like this where they are all wearing helmet cam mounted on those long, flexible arms pointed right back at their faces..

Very similar to what was done here..  Their faces stayed in one place but the background was spinning everywhere..

28 It also proves global warming is caused by man.

29 Kratos, look for some of the Magpul training video trailers on youtube.  The carbine videos, in particular, have some shots where a camera is attached to an AR-15 near the muzzle.  Makes for some pretty cool scenes.

33 I guess I expected something different when I read strapping a camera to the "tip of a sword". What I was expecting definitely would have been more interesting. And nasty.

34 Damn sock.

Posted by: CUS at December 29, 2010 11:32 AM (wOGfT)

35 They did something similar way back in the day. Remember when they would do this with a guitar?

It's kick makes you seasick though because the fixed camera point tricks your eyes into thinking everything else is moving.

Tragic.
I realize it was her responsibility to get herself treatment, but I still can't help but be infuriated by the psychos in the fashion industry who foster an environment where someone who is obviously ill is not only working but elevated as someone to admire.  If you look at the pictures when she was modeling, it was clear as day that something was wrong.
I think that's why I'll never really feel much empathy for gay men.
I denounce myself.

Along those lines, Taylor Swift was on Regis & Kelly this morning (yeah, I'm brain-dead and occasionally watch just to get insight into the apsyches of wealthy New Yorkers) and she looks terrible.
