Ed's retracted the original story.

I seem to recall he had been suffering from prostate cancer. (Update: Stomach cancer).

He was 86.

Don't worry about the MFM, they will do it anyway. You are right about the crap part though.

The mfm is unreliable by ommision, to the extent to the tubes are untrustworthy, it's because of too much info. Both can suck, but I'll take the latter any day of the week. Funny how the intertubes corrects itself faster than the old school media does.
