— DrewM It's funny because it's true.
This, along with the notion that there was every really a period of pure objective journalism, is one of my personal pet peeves. When people (usually liberals) say stuff like this what they really mean is, "it's so mean and unfair when you conservatives fight back. Why can't you be "a good conservative"? You know, like Gerry Ford?"
Added bonus....Jake Tapper is getting drilled by liberals on Twitter over ABC News' decision to have Breitbart do commentary on Tuesday night. Their tears are like a lovely appetizer for Tuesday's main course!

Cleveland admitted to having sexual relations with Maria Halpin in 1874. She later gave birth to an infant boy and named Cleveland as the child's father. He had agreed to name the child Oscar Folsom Cleveland after himself and his law partner, who, as it happened, could also have been the responsible party. When the mother suffered a mental collapse, the child was adopted by a couple living in the western part of the state. Cleveland never again saw the child or the mother.

Waterhouse, Nutmegs were typically imported into New England and were distributed by traveling New England peddlers. These folks were not considered high class people, they were after all the original "traveling salesman" in American lore. Some were known for selling phony nutmegs carved from wood.

I like Carly Fiorina, CA needs new blood, new ideas, and carly is just the answer. But, it's not my state, it's their state and if they want to continue on their road to bankruptcy, possibly thinking the rest of the country will save them, that's their business.

Regarding the Murkossky radio station thing, I sent this to the KFQD radio station manager, Dennis Bookey at news@kfqd(dot)com:
You missed your big chance. You missed your chance to stand tall and make a decisive move for the 1st Amendment. Your default move should have been toward speech. You could have worked it out later with that in mind. The last thing you should have done is act so spinelessly, bending for obvious partisan blather. You want the lower 48 to stop thinking of Alaska as a banana republic? Cut through the state's corrupt politics. Congratulations, champ. While I understand that there is a strong predisposition among the denizens of this moron-blog towards the easily demonstrated benefits and enjoyments of Val-U-Rite branded vodkas and other alcoholic beverages, I would like to expound upon a recent development that has caught my attention.
Pinot Grigio mixed with a cheap soda.
Building on the values of cheapness and wastedness-inducing stupefaction, the practice of mixing cheap Pinot Grigio with even cheaper Pop-Top Fruit Punch Soda (tm) (or other locally produced store-brand or other cheap equivilent) cannot be improved upon. This is, in fact, a very cost-effective methodolgy towards producing something quite similar to a "wine cooler" without incurring the costs normally associated with a nationally branded product.
Simply put, crappy wine + crappy soda equals (in some isolated cases) a splendiforous drunken evening.
I don't think this relates to the actual post, but I am far too intoxicated to care. Off to mix some more before passing out in a puddle of my own emmisions. Or hobo guts. Again -- too intoxicated to care.

That's 159 names. Sadly no names similar to Lisa Meowski. No Lisa 'M's either.
I got that from Alaska's election page here. Notice that there are many peeps who were denied for not making the deadline. And a couple because they were too young. :lol

But Livid Meerkatspit's stunt of pulling the radio guy off the air is serious epic fail that's going to damage her campaign a hell of a lot more.
Btw, the way this went down is awesome. (Yes, a moron was involved.)
Posted by: someone at October 29, 2010 10:57 PM (DfAwB)
Actually, some did *points to self*, but why did it take an Alaska radio host to make this happen? If this had started much earlier, you could've had thousands on the list and maybe a few "Mur-whatevers". Is there no conservative in that state who shares her last name?

Actually, it took a blog commenter who called into an Alaska radio host (who didn't even like the idea until his next callers pushed it!).
Moral: we need more Alaska morons.

So when is Olbermann going to do a string of shows about how the administration is using this 'so called' terror as a ploy to steal the election?
Actually, he did this after every fox news alert... claiming THIS was the mythical 'Reichstag moment' ........... <crickets>
anyhow
Tuesday will be pure mental masturbation. We get to see Obamas plans thwarted for the time being, and hopefully with subpoena power in the house we can expose some treason.
I just hope we get to witness some wacko lefty commit suicide on live tv. That would be awesome. I'd actually get a hard-on. I can hope, but listening to unhinged lefty's on radio will be sweet enough

Dan Rowan: [as the News of the Future anchor, on "Laugh-In"]
Berlin, 20 years from now, 1989. There was dancing in the streets today as East Germany finally tore down the Berlin Wall. The joy was short-lived, however, as the wall was quickly replaced with a moat full of alligators.
Note: In 1989, the Berlin Wall did indeed get torn down. No moat full of alligators replaced it. Just Muslims.

Well, no, they had actually become friends again shortly after the end of Jefferson's presidency and engaged in one of the most celebrated correspondences in American history. But it is true that the election of1800 was a nasty business.

Neighbor's kid took Japanese for his foreign language in high school,
teacher was a naturalized citizen and wife of a business associate.
He went on to major in languages and moved to Japan 10 years ago to teach
English for Sony execs.
Now he owns an English Language school and is a Japanese citizen.
Almost impossible to do and so rare it is testament to their admiration.
Point of all this....He's bloody fucking rich now and wont answer my emails.

Mercy,
Comprehension problems on your part? Is it too early in the AM where you are?
The video clearly notes that these sort of comments were common in early American elections, but with only a few being the actual quotes from the various candidates.
Instead of perusing websites, perhaps you should study a few of the campaigns of the day. Whilst many famous/infamous lines were the work of campaign supporters and staffs, there's no doubt that the candidates themselves often supported & repeated some of the more, er, colorful charges against their opponents....

The insults in the ad remind me of this exchange:
When Lord Sandwich offered the opinion that John Wilkes, an 18th century British journalist and politician would die "either of the pox or on the gallows," Wilkes shot back, "That will depend on whether I embrace your lordship's mistress or your lordship's principles."

Sorry that you find reality so troubling, but Reason lied and I'm annoyed to see Jefferson and Adams slandered. This isn't complicated. The ad puts words in their mouths "I'm Thomas Jefferson...because John Adams is a..." that they simply never said and it also makes it seems as though the candidates endorsed the nastiest stuff found in print.
The weasel words from Reason, "which is taken from statements made by, for, and against the nation's founders." only appear in the post but not the video, but even that's misleading. Other than that, there are no qualifiers to negate the dishonest representation in the ad.
If some random blogger calls John McCain and "old bald SOB" prior to the election does that mean he's speaking on Obama's behalf?
